SalamRushdie:Thank you |
Fourwinds:Well, going by his posts. The guy loves predicting ,that might be his profession and hobby... you might not be in to it. Believe me,if u were,u will hv something for d election. |
themonk:Oga,"he must have" is not a statement of assertion,it is a probability statement....I will overlook ur other statement. D guy can predict anything he wants to but I will not rule out d fact that d title of a post can be amended......it is possible to have stated wat he wrote today and it is also possible to hv added to it also today.Try and have an open mind. |
announcement:What is in d comment?.... really don't see any big deal in d comments. Nobody is saying d guy can't predict.Anybody can predict anything What some people are saying is dt ,he didn't add 6 days to the initial title and what I am saying is,it is possible to add to a title.....I have no business with his prediction. |
Fourwinds:To me,he didn't say anything extra ordinary...d argument is on d 6th day.... someone even asked him "when"....He made a blanket statement. My own point is,it is 100% possible to edit d title of a post, long after d initial post...and their won't be any edit tag attached to it. |
announcement:D guy made a blank statement and came back to edit it to reflect current happening....He must hv put d 6 days to it today... U can also try and edit ur post. |
livelymatilda22:Yes,I saw yours and decided to give it a try...it is indeed possible to edit a title |
MrCEO69:I did ...u can check my post here...I changed it twice...No,edit tag was not added. |
Fourwinds:What people are saying is d guy added "6 days to it "probably today...dt d 6 days was not part of d initial post. While some said it is not possible to edit, some are also saying it is possible. To me it is possible to edit a title, long after the initial post.....just go to modify and edit d tittle. |
maviduchez77:D argument is d OP adding to d initial title, wch is % possible. My initial post was without date,I added 2017 to it now and changed it again to 2020 I have changed it again to 2020 https://www.nairaland.com/1984167/nigerias-road-shame-goes-online |
A post a made in 2014....I just added 2017 to it now https://www.nairaland.com/1984167/nigerias-road-shame-goes-online#27773294.... It is possible to actually change a post.. |
Some people will not allow people with reasonable experience and knowledge to talk. The topic is already on 2nd page without any meaniful contribution. I doubt if some guys understand d purported law. Some will just read d topic and start typing, even if they don't understand, it doesn't matter. We are just too aggressive in ds country. Na wa. Right questions are not being asked... Govt needs to define d "property".is it commercial or private .... I know some countries do tax offshore commercial properties of their citizens and some, on individual income.... D word property needs to be stated clearly |
Nairaland is just a funny place. Some people without solution nor experience come out to proffer something.. Haha, someone with ssce even has ideas on PhD.... Odiegwu. @Op, USA has over 200 universities and community colleges. It seems your friend is focusing on d top schools,he should try d middle and lower schools. Admission in US is highly competitive.. He should keep on searching and send more applications or apply for another MSc (I will strongly suggest that). |
FeminineSniper:Read what the lady wrote again, u can read it up to as many times as possible, then come back to your comment and do d needful. |
In your best interest, don't spend the money,it is not yours. If u do,in one way or d other, u will pay for it... D amount is not something to stress about. Don't pay tithe or take it to the motherless. Try ur best to locate d owner and don't put ur life at risk doing it, if after u can't get d owner, report to d police, let them do wateva dey feel wt it,at least u hv free ur mind. Don't spend it, I beg of u. |
Depending on where u live at Yaba... D boarding goes thus:Yaba to cms or Obalende (100),obalende/cms to Ajah (200,depending on d rush hour, u can be charged as high as 300),Ajah mkt to Lakowe(150)..roughly, 500/trip..that is if you will not take bike from ur house to d junction of where u will board and from where u will alight to ur office. Contrary to others opinion, u will not experience hold up or just mild hold up, you will be moving agains traffic on Ozumba-Lekki-Ajah express as most people will be taking d other side. Ajah is not Lakowe,Abraham Adesanya, Abijo,Eleko etc... Considering u being a female With kids, it will be difficult relocating but spending 20,000 on transportation is not bad on 200,000....renting another house at Lakowe is not advisable unless d house at Yaba is yours. It is either u stay at Yaba or relocate to Lakowe. If all your friends and families are on d mainland, living in Lakowe might be boring... The place is a bit far. ....Getting a house in Lekki, Ajah, Abijoh,Lakowe etc with water and without Flood during raining season is another story but that area has good and quality schools ur kids will love. |
The loss is so painful....facing France would hv been brutal... Moses should hv known by now that, d success of Eagles lies in how he plays... He didn't understand how crucial he is to our games... Our victory over Iceland was a total waste. ... We seriously need players, especially, strikers and midfielders... Make Mikel just go retire |
To be candid, can't see us doing better than that... Didn't see anything spectacular in what we played.. No assigned striker, players falling like cards, no midfield, no shot from d middle (thanks to Ndidi)... Tired legs (Mikel, Ighalo).... ..scoring equaliser at 87' ,says a lot about d coach..... Thank God we lost, can we face France like ds? Our coach is below average. |
Was just having this discussion with my aunt yesterday. I need my transcript, sent mails to my school with no response.....Her husband picked his laptop sent a mail to the university he finished from in USA, first their was an acknowledgement and a call to confirm where he was sending it to and alas, it has been forwarded. I am still looking for lies to concoct so as for me to travel and get my transcript.... |
Hhhhmmm... Surprised at some of the comments.... The OP is being selfish and wicked. One thing about us Nigerians is that, we are too aggressive. We get angry and aggressive unnecessarily and we think our opinions count in other people's life... Everybody has his/her own life to live. Getting married to AS is not a death sentence, there are so many improvements in medicine that has reduced the fear.... Marriage is not about giving birth only..... So many AA couples are childless and malaria kills millions of babies every year before age 5... Visit sickle cell Foundation in Lagos, they will suggest so many options ur brother can take... PNS is not up to N300,000 at SCF...... 234-1-7621522 +234-803 584 6666 +234-8100002001 +234-8100002003 info@sicklecellfoundation.com scf-ng@hotmail.com The Programme Coordinator Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria National Sickle Cell Centre, Opp Lagos University Teaching Hospital(LUTH), Ishaga Road, Idi-araba, Lagos. P.O Box , 3463 Surulere, Lagos. +234-803 584 6666 The address of SCF. U can call them on the phone, though, they might sound rude but it is good u pay them a visit.... AS-AS getting married is not as deadly as u think.. There are options the couples can consider before saying I do. That ur brother avoids AS partners doesn't mean he is immune to all other diseases ravaging d world. |
Xisnin:Ur Senate president is a lawyer abi? |
I am not a lawyer but with my little knowledge, I think it is better they change d constitution in regards INEC so as to allow room for d sequence. Amending d electoral acts without d constitution is a work in futility. National assembly can not mandate INEC on the date to conduct election for d states. To me, I think they are getting it wrong. The national assembly wants to throw d country into confusion. |
It will be unfair to judge the guy without hearing from him...commenters need to be careful before accusing wrongly. In this kind of scenario, the best is for the 2 to sit down and talk about.,all fears must be do away, it is either u come together or not, whatever it is d case, life goes on. In general, somethings must not be lacking in any relationship..1).communication 2).submission 3)respect 4).love and 5).dreams. When last did you both talk about your dreams?. Respect is not by kneeling or d use of sir or Ma. It is giving honour to whom it is due. Relationship without communication is dead on arrival, their must be constant form of communication and reasoning... If u both want to call it quit, their must be a reason, it is that reason u need to talk about and base your decision on. |
What if herdsmen from other states come to do d crime?... Is oath taking d solution?.....we like playing politics with everything in Nigeria. |
Going by.. "d dad is a banker","mum banker","from Ago- Iwoye".........D only Bakre I heard who is a banker and from that town is "Femi Bakre"....ED of one of the banks in Nig. |
A word from the president condemning this act will put an end to this menace. |
Instead of single handedly doling out d free gifts. The state house of assembly ought to have done d argument and citizens forum organised. It would hv been better if herders acquire lands and pay tax per cow to the local govt than unilaterally dashing out land. The big question is, who will own the land, who will maintain the grass, who will manage the place?. The federal govt will hand over d land to the herdsmen, who will still look for ways to roam with their cow. Fulani herders don't like being restricted with their animals, it is in their blood. They see it as tradition. |
For d colony to be effective, why not ban the roaming of cattle. It is insane seeing cattle in hundreds on the street not to even talk of the handlers with guns. Instead of d colony, why not create an intervention funds for the herders through d CBN or Bank of Agric. for d establishment of ranches. The govt needs to educate d herders on d dangers on their current practice.Nigeria Immigration Service also needs to know that manning the entry points is part of their cardinal points, they should stop focusing on issuing of passport. Their should be more focus and searchlight beam on the activities of our borders. |
resurgentxtian4:I am surprised myself with what I have been reading... This is a very simple case but the use of force will lead to nowhere . One section should not mandate and compel d other to bend its rule keep their own intact. |
I have heard a family and also a girl from Ekiti that said "she can not a marry Ijebu person". I heard a girl from Imo state who told me "I can not marry Abakaliki man"...Jehovah witness member once said,"I can't marry outside my congregation".I know of a Yoruba lady that the parents warned never to marry from Calabar... Hhhmm... What is love? ....Love is not a feeling... It is a call to service.... Just like we have millions that say "I can't do this"...we also have millions that will say "this is what I want to do". |
Not again. The Muslim council should just take this issue up and eliminate any form of radicalism among their members.. This issue at hand is very simple .They should present their case to the relevant bodies in charge. They should make their plights known instead of causing tension every where. The issue can be resolved without noise. They should stop using force. |
