European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Cristiano Ronaldo Is Damaging Real Madrid by BarcaBlood: 3:10am On May 29, 2015
This article is rather harsh towards Cristiano Ronaldo I must say. Only last season his 51 goals delivered Real Madrid their much coveted La Decima and he was being hailed all through. His ambitious attitude is probably mistaken for pride but no football lover will ever deny his professionalism. He and Messi are definitely the best footballers of their generation; the question of who is greater will always be an allegiance thing between the current Barca and Madrid fans obviously.

His sometimes negative attitude towards his teammates when they score or don't pass to him is another part of his ambitious attitude that is maybe not a good example but it's part of what made him the CR7 that currently holds the ballon d'or award, it's an attitude that has gotten him this far. It's like a gamble; once it works out, it pays but once it doesn't, it backfires and people see the bad side of him.

I'm a Barca fan but I sure as hell am a good football lover and I appreciate wonderful footballers. Messi will most likely win this year's ballon d'or (cool) but credit to CR7 for keeping him at the top of his game through their ever increasing rivalry

Visca Barca. #barcafortreble

No he doesn't. Being a great player doesn't necessarily mean he will be a great manager. Mourinho never played the game professionally remember?

No. When suarez won it, liverpool did nt win d league. Same wt bale. It is the performance and consistency that matters. For their fellow professionals to vote them, they knw wat they are doing.
Different situations in your examples.
Of cos it's performance and consistency but when there's no strong competition who do you want the voters to choose? Hazard deserves it no doubt but if Suarez and bale were still in the epl and performing as we know them to, it would've been hard for hazard to win it
SportsBayern Munchen Vs. Barcelona UCL 2nd Leg by BarcaBlood(op): 3:43pm On May 11, 2015
UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Date: Tuesday, 12th May
Kick off: 19:45 BST
Venue: Allianz Arena

Bayern Munich will "battle to the end" as they
bid to overhaul a 3-0 first-leg deficit in Tuesday's
Champions League semi-final with Barcelona.
The German champions lost the first leg of their
quarter-final 3-1 in Porto but won the home leg 6-1. And Bayern boss Pep Guardiola, who used to manage Barca, said: "The only way we can make the final is by playing better than Barcelona and doing what we did in the second half [of the first leg].

"Our only desire is try until the end."

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge knows the odds are
stacked heavily against Bayern Munich ahead o
its UEFA Champions League meeting with
Barcelona.

Bayern Munich faces a mammoth task in its UEFA
Champions League semifinal second leg against
Barcelona, and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is praying for a "once in a century" display.
In last week's opening leg at Camp Nou, Bayern
matched Barca for 75 minutes until Lionel
Messi inspired Luis Enrique's side to a commanding 3-0 lead. The Argentine maestro scored the opening two goals before setting up Neymar for the third in stoppage time as the Catalan giant moved to the brink of its fourth final in the past 10 seasons.
Bayern's preparation for this clash has been less than ideal, with Pepe Reina - who started in goal in place of the rested Manuel Neuer on Saturday - lasting just 13 minutes before being sent off in a 1-0 home defeat to Augsburg. However, already crowned Bundesliga champion, the defeat is of little consequence to Bayern, and chief executive Rummenigge is hoping his club can achievewhat is seemingly an impossible task at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.

"It is going to be very hard," he said. "Barcelona were the favorites in the first place and after the game that status grew. This is normal when you get this sort of result. But nonetheless, it is the duty of Bayern Munich to put on their best performance on Tuesday. We will see if it will be enough. Our chances are very, very small, but in football there is always one game in a century where you can turn the tides.

"They are rare, I know, but it is our responsibility to give all we can. If it is not enough you can't change it but you at least have to try."
Bayern's build-up to the game has also been
disrupted by rumors that head coach and former
Barca boss Pep Guardiola has signed a pre-contract
agreement to move to Manchester City at the end of this season.
But although Bayern's hopes of a treble have been
dashed by last week's defeat to Barca and a DFB-
Pokal semifinal loss to Borussia Dortmund,
Rummenigge believes 2014-15 will still go down as a success.

"If I was have write a report on our season so far, it would be very positive," he added.

By contrast, Barca is very much on course for the
treble, with a Copa del Rey final against Athletic
Bilbao to look forward to, while Saturday's 2-0 win
over Real Sociedad and Real Madrid's 2-2 draw with Valencia gave it a four-point lead at the top of La Liga with two matches remaining.

Luis Enrique's men are on a blistering run of form at just the right time, winning all of their last eight
matches, scoring 28 goals and keeping seven
consecutive clean sheets.

Who's your pick for Berlin?

The 44-year-old has been closely linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena of late but insists that he wants to see out his contract in Bavaria Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has insisted that he has no intention of moving to Manchester City at the end of the season.

The Bavarians have struggled of late, losing their last four games in all competition, sparking talk that he could move elsewhere at the end of the season. Former Bayern and City midfielder Dietmar Hamann claimed that he was already in advanced talks with the deposed English champions but the 44-year-old says he has no intention of leaving.

“I have one year left on my contract. I’ll stay here
next season. That is all,” he insisted at a press
conference.

1)I will still pick Martinez over Rakitick any day

2)I think Messi was the only injured player when Bayern came calling 2 seasons ago, still Vilanova did ok by winning the league.

3)We are saying the same thing literally
1) your choice, so fair enough

2) Messi, puyol, abidal, mascherano were all injured plus many not too fit players went to Munich. Vilanova was able to win the league easily cos there was no competition that season. madrid were in crisis and sacked Mourinho @ the season's end

3) ok then. Just watch out for this history making Barcelona this season

I actually dont rate Rakitic high,he is good but he isnt in the class of Javi Martinez or even Xabi Alonso.

When Pep left Barca they were still good to go,Martino just couldnt get the right mix with the team.Even Vilanova(RIP)won the league with them.

The difference with Pep's Barca and Enrique's Barca is Neymar-Suarez.How many goals has the front three shared among themselves this season? How many did Pedro-Villa-Messi scored in Pep's 1st season?
I give you alonso but rakitic is better than Martinez. Ivan is one of barca's unsung hero this season, people don't really appreciate his work cos he covers up for Alves most of the time while the busquets and Rafinha take the shine attack wise, yet he still has some 6 goals this season. He's like muller at bayern

I know barca were still good when pep left but they were not as good as his 1st season with them. Vilanova's barca suffered the bayern mauling 2 seasons ago and won the league majorly because of the team's good performance in the 1st half of the season and lack of competition from madrid

And messi's link with Pedro and villa didn't produce up to 100 goals, not even 95 sef while this current trio has 111 goals already, and the season isn't over. See why this barca team is different?

1 goal for barca makes it harder for bayern. They didn't even have an away goal

What can you do when the devil you created has grown and upgraded since you left it.

You can only go at it and hope for the best. I guess.

But Messi sha!!!

Ps: Pep did dis to himself. He created a strong Barca team, then left. And now he has returned to face a even stronger team that has taken tikitaka(Pep's Philosophy) to the next level.
Pep created a strong barca team but left it weak and they struggled after he left. This barca team is a different one with Messi on the right and Rakitic pulling the strings in the middle

Hazard is a better player no doubt but to be fair to di Maria, he hasn't been given that much time to show what he can do. Alexis Sanchez could easily have won the PFA award if his team had won the epl
