BreconHills: There is a lot of ignorance over this point. It makes me wonder about the quality of thinking at the NASS. Waiving of sovereign immunity is standard in infrastructure contracts in Africa. Without those waivers, the lender or developer has no recourse against the borrower even if the borrower or client refuses to pay after the loan/build. In the case of countries with good international credit ratings, this risk can be passed to a third party such as reinsurance company that can underwrite the lender/ client risk partially or completely. Until Nigeria gets a good economic rating it will have to waive immunity. Usually Nigeria can help hedge default risk by using things like oil cargo as security.
It is a complete nonsense for anyone to imply that this has mortaged Nigeria. Which of them in his right mind would lend money to anyone if the borrower could deny the loan?
Its because they know Nigerians dont think once party or tribe issues are raised. Good explanation. |

“We are not saying because the money is not paid directly to people in this country. We have seen the agreement. We have also seen a clause where sovereignty is waived if we default. We have seen it in the document. It is here in the document where the sovereignty of our country is waived and we believe that the particular clause is not part of what they brought to the National Assembly to approve.
Is the Honourable minister insinuating that Nigeria will default on agreement? |

Afe babalola, Anenih geriatric centres, Adububutu Keshington, and Ajimobi also built children welfare. Oga I dislike Ajimobi since he was my constituency senator in 2003/07. But Ajimobi performed. You think people from Lagos did not settle in other parts of Yoruba land? How will you distinguish them from the rest of the Yoruba people? There's Ekotedo in Ibadan, do you know what it means? If you don't, ask people that understand Yoruba. Ijebu people of Ogun State can claim both Lagos and Ogun, how will you stop them from standing from election in either of those states? Ibrahim Magu, EFCC’s top chief, told Lagos-based TVC on Friday that his agency had no prior involvement in Mr Abbas’ case.
“We are yet to be involved in the case of Hushpuppi,” Mr Magu said, noting that Emirati authorities were yet to provide information on his arrest to warrant EFCC’s cooperation.
This is the only authentic part of the news posted.
The newspaper is pushing an agenda, they know it doesn't make sense for Nigeria to push for release of the suspect who committed a crime outside of Nigeria against the US (of all countries to mess with) into the hands of EFCC, but such a news will cause people to curse out Nigerian government for trying to provide a means of escape for a criminal or why else will they make such an asinine request.
I wonder if there is no way for these agents of distabilization called news outlets can be dealt with for deliberating misinforming the people. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do We Need To Speak/pray In Tongues? by barragan: 1:35pm On May 24, 2020 |
Buliwyf: Lol. Speaking in tongues is farcical and only worthy of mockery. Especially the ones that Christians practice these days. It's nothing more than gibberish and some patois that you guys use to psych up yourselves and feel you have a communication with some higher power. News flash, you don't!!!
It is telling that none of the tongues spoken these days can be recognised as any form of language by people. The only anecdotal evidence for speaking in tongues makes it known that they actually spoke the languages of the foreign people around them and could be understood. But you guys these days utter rubbish which doesn't even help anyone, not even yourselves.
Every language has the same pattern. You can do a statistical sampling of the words to get their usage frequency and all human languages have the same pattern. Some words are used more frequently than others. Especially articles. Heck, even dolphins' communication patterns almost matches that of humans and that's why it's been theorised that they have language. But you charlatans speaking in tongues, same thing can't be said for you. Your word usage is all over the place and usually you are just repeating the same nonsense over and over. No one can understand you. Not even yourselves.
Lastly, what's the use of your speaking in tongues? You have been speaking in tongues yet your life is not better than the average person that doesn't speak in tongues. You have no special knowledge, no special insights nor special abilities. You are as ordinary as the rest of us and the only thing that seems exceptional about you is your unmatched ability to delude yourself. You remind of those Christ Embassy girls in school that will meet you on the road and ask you to start speaking in tongues immediately. Then in the evening they are off to some guy's house to have the sex of their lives. Take a bow |
