I have 2 blood relations who were in the army. My in-law was also a captain in the army but late now. He died in the hands of BH. He didn't even go to the war front, he was in S&T and was drafted to cargo arms to maiduguri. Someone in his office sold out and BH ambushed them in Kafanchan and made my youngest sister a widow!!

The other two relations, a boy and a girl, the girl works in army finance while the boy was in 21div. The boy was in the war front until February 2015, I and I personally asked him to desert.

Today, he's running his small but thriving restaurant, his wife delivered a lovely baby to him, and he's doing better than he could ever do in the army.

An oath has been taken which is legally binding and i also believe this oath was not taken by the recruits at gun point. They chose to take the oath. Court martial is real. If it wasnt there will be no more soldiers on the battle field. They will hunt you down and get you. No hiding place. How you wan hide when there is no money and accommodation.

Now if you have joined and do not abide by the rules the government is obliged to take all necessary action to punish you for gross misconduct which includes imprisonment.
