Thanks xsay and manmuswac for keepin the spirit alive. Whenever a courageous club like ours comes around and tries to upset those Sky4,people acts like they are tryin to commit murder or something. I watched the UCL this season and i wonder if clubs like Porto,Stuttgart,Athletico Madrid,Olympiakos even the geriatric Milan is in any way better than Spurs. Yet no one bursts a vessel that these teams play the UCL year in year out. Yes i think we can do it!

My heart goes with Tottenham but i know City will get it . They've players who wont panic on the big stage which is something Spurs tend to do. Majority of players in that City team have played in the UCL which is somethin we cant say about Spurs or Villa. As for Liverpool,they dont deserve it.

I love this thread. I'll give this to my club's captain, Michael Dawson of Tottenham Hotspur anyday. When the season started everyone knew Ledley King and Jon Woodgate are the main guys. There was even talk of him leavin for Sunderland or something. But with the injury to those 2,he suddenly turned into the best thing since sliced bread. IMHO after Terry and Rio,no other English central defender is better, except for King and Woodgate of course!

Last year May Odua Investment Limited fulfilled its promise of rewarding students from it's 5 owner states by paying 100000Naira each to about 2000 students from those states. Now this money was remitted to individual schools for onward distribution to their students. The saddening aspect is that almost a year after givini the money to the individual schools,OAU remains the ONLY school in Nig which has refused to pay that money to her students. Enquiries from Odua Company verified that of course the money has been paid yet OAU is denying it ever received money from the company. And this is when students from other schools have been paid. How deceitful and wicked can some people be?

I'm still a student in OAU and to be sincere if it is all these rubbish we are being made to learn is what makes a school great then no Nigerian university deserves to be anywhere near the 1st 5000. I dont really understand,is it the architecture,landscape or the product of a school that makes it great? The general practise of schools in Nigeria is to build an imposin gate for any passer-by to admire only for u to enter and see the mess we call schools. Come to OAU and see the 19th century bookshop we call a library!
To sum it up,I think any school tryin to lay claim to being the best should back it up with substance. UI backed up their's by winning the Zain challenge. Anybody else should point to what their schools have achieved on the big stage in the last 10yrs or else shut up for ever. Rant Over
