I think you should put paragraphs in your sentences, it makes it easier to read. Also some of your tenses e.g. Save instead of Safe, Thought instead of Taught.

Lemme help you with how i escaped from my own predicament.
- I faced my life squarely. My career,education,church and finances took primary importance.
- I got another girl,prettier one sef. Made me stop thinking of her.
- I acted like she doesn't exist. Anytime i feel like picking the phone to talk to her i call my mum and friends instead and wastes the airtime.
It's not easy trusts me but it's what you have to do in order to protect your heart. It's obvious she loves you but she wants to 'catch fun' a bit before settling down.

I think you should give her time and try to be as patient as possible. I totally understand you. You are moving to a level and she's finding it hard to keep up.
Please postpone the wedding plans for a year at least and try to mould her to your specifications. Get a female friend who will help buy the kind of clothes you want her to be wearing. Patiently try to teach her the kind of things you want her to do.
If after like a year she is still resistant to change I think you should let go. You won't want to marry a partner that will disgust you in the future because that is a recipe for divorce in the future.

So much nostalgia here. The Tade Ogidan movies (Hostage, OwoBlow, Madam Dearest, Diamond Ring, Family on Fire etc) and Tunde Kelani's (Saworo ide,Ti oluwa nile, thunderboat) were the real deal then. Then Izu Ojukwu makes some nice movies too.
