Somethings you hear in this country and you are like eh! The 3 brothers of the popular female preacher were accused of being kidnappers and were arrested by the police. They were first crippled by gunshots and then dragged to their parents' house where they were summarily executed right in front of their mother. I keep wondering how much the Nigerian police will get away with before something is done by the higher authorities. Remember requests are sent to movie producers to send their movies for consideration. A producer may decide not to enter his/her own movie for the award. Tunde Kelani may've done this hence the reason why MAAMI is not up for nomination. Remember it's not yet on dvd format so he may be wary of pirates layin their hands on it hence the reason for no entrant of MAAMI. I hope the award organisers do a good job all the same. |
