The eediot is arguing that I am wrong, that M1 has grown by 320%. That was never the question. Exam question ask you A, you are answering B. Is that not a fail? His initial supposition never talked about 320% growth in supply, but 80% of supply being newly minted.




After I showed him most of the M1 printing came in 2020, he started arguing he was talking about M2 of which only circa 30% has been minted since the pandemic. The question is which money supply (M1 or M2) fits his narrative that 80% of supply is newly minted?

And all are moot points anyway because majority of the printing of both M1 and M2 was done in 2020.

Trial by jury can go any way. Relying on non-professionals can lead to unpalatable outcomes but the principle of civilised society stands, that when the law has spoken, the matter is over.

An example is the Amber Heard vs Johnny Depp trial going on. A British judge has already found Depp to be a wifebeater (they are both abusers). Depp waited for an opportunity to drag the matter to America where he can rely on jury trial to clear his name, and is winning handsomely in the court of public opinion.
