I believe some of the problem with crime and other societal problems stems from the breakdown of the family structure. Its easier for 2 adults to raise children than for one for obvious reasons. They probably have more income, they likely will have stability when one is working one be at home to care for the family. So they kids dont get raised by the street and get preyed upon
