Politics › Re: Amaechi Swears-in 22 New Elected Council Chairmen by basilo101: 5:54pm On May 26, 2015
doctokwus:
Eventhough I know these LGA elections were far from ideal, but Amaechi has actually played a master card here and given Wike a bone that has struck him in the throat.
-Wike cannot dissolve these councils without going through d state assembly and d law courts.
The state assembly maybe in his pockets but with an opposition central govt,d wise ones may want to play safe and not rock d boat. The same applies to him trying to bribe state judges, none would want to take d risk no matter how much they are bribed.
-All those that hitherto would have easily canvassed for d illegal dissolution of d council executives are not likely to be so inclined because Wike's election is far more likely to be annulled. So why take such a risky bet.
Wike wherever he is a worried man because amaechi has got all d cards stacked against him.I don't envy him at all.Fayose's case would b child's play compared to the bitter political lesson he is about to be taught.
wetin concern FG wit LG mata? LG is a property of d state, dia is no LG autonomy

You're not hosting yourself.

You're hosting yourself in a safe and friendly environment (Yorubas) with ports and markets built by Yorubas to sustain your business.

You have a port in the East, but you choose to reside in the West. Truth be told, Lagos does not need you, You need Lagos to survive. Wonder why your likes run from the East and only return for "vacation"?

wiseoneking:
Before him many igbos has been there. Goggle and see igbo women mayors in the Uk. Although this your mayor is an archaic information. Ireland is a little country. Just respect the igbos. They are great both at home and in abroad. Check out other european countries like finland and poland. Infact in poland, there are two persons, one is in parliament and the other a councillor. All this 4 would have all been igbos if not the Edo/Delta woman won another igbo Anolue to rep labour. Am sure that the two nigerians in Green party candidates in Uk are also igbos but did not win. Apart from this, many igbos are holding several positions in the Uk. The population of yorubas are higher than the igbos in London metro but the economic and polical power of the igbos cannot be over estimated. Igbos are majority in places like manchester, scotland and other ...shires. Now we have an igbo rep in Lagos federal house and one in the states house and you guys are already crying. Allow this only igbo man in lagos house of assembly to be speaker of lagos then i know that there is no tribalism in the south west. You are free to relocate to Biafra to contest
yorubas r nt ambitious ppl, in fact being ambitious is delusional to them. D little progres dey made was because unfair advantage in dis zoological republic.
