Politics › Re: The Senate President Should Be A Southerner Otherwise... by basilo101: 9:12am On Apr 19, 2015 |
Revolution: We will have a situation where the three heads of the executive, legislative and judicial arms of government are all northerners. I am not one to allocate roles based on religion, region or ethnicity but since that is the Nigerian way I thought I should point out that they (APC) have forgotten that the vice president does not head an arm of government. Therefore, it will be wrong to think that because the vice president is a southerner the senate president can be a northerner. The best way to view this and ensure true federal quota, so to speak, is to consider the roles within then context of the three arms of government. The executive will be headed by Buhari, the legislative is currently head by Mohammed so give the senate president to a southerner. Plz define southerner. Dnt hide under "southerner". Yorubas have been scamed simple. SE and SS hav since started learning dia new role as d opposition |

zicoraads: Nigerians are a funny bunch. Which one is BOND?
Under GEJ's regime, these guys lived like kings. The choice cars in Abuja, the houses, the money they dolled around...I think it is game up. If the Niger Delta has remained how it was when Jonathan took over, then they should hold the Ministry of Niger Delta, the NDDC, other agencies and their state governors responsible. Akpabio did well in Akwa Ibom state. What stopped other governors from doing same? Enough is enough! Other regions too are in dire need of development. The North east for one has to rebuild after the Boko Haram madness has come to an end. In as much as the oil is being gotten from the region, it belongs to all Nigerians. After all, the government sponsored and is still sponsoring most indigenes from that region abroad.
They should start looking for jobs like every Nigerian. Government should scrap the payment of monies. u mean boko haram has suddenly ended? So BH was all about removing Jonathan? |

wadetaw202: If Igbo's were not selfish and self centered to kill sadauna of sokoto and other northerners to pave way for January 1966 coup, all these wouldn't have happened. The very selfish demonic plans of igbos in January sowed the seed for northern violence against Igbo's. Before the nzeogwi-ironsi coup, there was nothing like violence against Igbo's and Nigeria was also at peace. Nzeogwu and co's decision to stage a coup sowed the seed for tribalism and ethnical violence in Nigeria. Ok.
