Njaba and Aba state proposals suffer much of the inconveniences of oil and gas explorations and exploitation, and contribute oil and gas revenues to Nigeria's coffers. Adada state proposal contributes none of these and suffers no environmental pollution from oil and gas exploration and exploitation.

Aba state proposal has 9 local govt area councils to be cut out from 18 local councils of Abia state;

while Njaba proposal has 12 local govt area councils to be cut out from the 27 local councils of Imo state.

Both Njaba and Abia state proposals have land masses and populations more than Adada state proposal of 7 local govt councils to be cut from Enugu state of 17 local councils. Above all, Ebonyi state was cut mainly from Enugu state a few years ago.

Please can any body tell us why anybody can think of making Adada a state before Njaba and Aba?

Let me tell u why Adada shud be a state instead of Aba n Njaba. Aba province is already a state but d capital was takn 2 umuahia. Same way onitsha province was givn a state and decided 2 use awka as capital. Njaba (orlu) was under owerri province and dia4 nt in league old metropolitan provinces of eastern region. As it stands nw, only Nsukka province is yet 2 be givn dia own state.

Gakem needs to look to a different party and negotiate what they feel they need and I completely agree that they have not asked for too much! They should get a war museum and memorial plus citing of projects in their areas and wards! Let's be honest, it costs a serious government nothing to do that, how many billions are still missing from NNPC ! $10 B and all that is needed if it is not stolen or looted to create some if this structures if far less than that, maybe 1 B or less. Let people likes these negotiate their future and projects with the APC and projects need to be on ground within 4 years otherwise they will be looking to other parties in the next election. For a sensible party and government, this is an economic activity right their that will create jobs and yield returns as they manage and invest on it! How much money is spent by people visiting memorials and war museums here and paying to hear the stories and see things for themselves! Even the Olumo Rock had for a long time been turned to a tourist haven for a long time by the state government and you will need to pay to explore the grounds and have a tour guide who will show you around and answer your questions plus people selling food and souvenirs nearby! It is a real opportunity and these kind of details can in fact make a big difference as a party like APC tries to go up and show Nigerians how governance ought to be and why the West (ACN) for longer is more successful than virtually by other parts of Nigeria.
