PoliticsRe: ANAMBRA ELECTION: Me I Still Deh Laugh! by baslone: 10:29am On Nov 14, 2013
I have heard their silly argument about Willie Obiano being so qualified having being a banker and Peter Obi’s Account Officer. And I ask! Is he more qualified than Professor Chukuma Soludo, who was not just a former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria; he was also a consultant to so many international agencies including the World Bank. Soludo went to Harvard and also lectures in Harvard; he has initiated so many great ideas across the world and was once awarded the honour of being the best Governor among all the central bank governors in the world. So, how much of qualification does Obiano has to compare with Soludo and what experience in governance does he possess that makes him the best Igbo man to rule Anambra if not that he helps Peter Obi to steal monies belong to Ndi Anambra as his account officer?
Interesting. . . . . .

kettykin: The way we make our bed is the way we lie on it.

The people in maiduguri who encouraged and accommodated boko haram are paying a big price for that, agbor youths should fish out kidnappers and let peace reign
Oh yes, I am in support of this.

Harassment and killing of innocent citizens in the Boko infested cities by the military was publicly celebrated here on NL.

Agbor youths should get use to it(collateral damage) till they decide to form their own version of civilian JTF against kidnappers.

Gej has no political will to do anything.

What improvement has be brought to Nigeria. Except people were

stealing millions before but now they steal in billions and trillions, and go

unpunished.

All what the opposition said abou gej is more than accurate.

jmaine: What happened in 2011 ? Jonathan lost Lagos ? No?
Tinubu’s political romance with President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011 was not a secret.

Just the way it works in Kwara state, Agbero's, Eruku's, NURTW, Touts, Area boys win election in this state and they will always follow Tinubu's lead.

GEJ does not put food on their table. They don't know him.

PoliticsLagos Never Sought Approval To Construct Lekki-ikoyi Suspension Bridge – FG by baslone(op): 5:05pm On Nov 05, 2013
okay come demolish it nah

The Federal Government and the Lagos State Government may be heading for another round of dispute as the Federal Government yesterday told a Federal High Court in Lagos that the State Government never obtained its approval to construct the Lekki-Ikoyi Suspension Bridge.

This claim is contained in a counter-affidavit filed by the Federal Government before the court in a suit challenging the propriety of the construction of the bridge and imposition of tolls on its users.

The suit was instituted by a Lagos based lawyer, Ebun Olu-Adegboruwa.

The Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), the Lagos State Government and the state Attorney-General are the respondents in the suit.

The AGF and NIWA, in the said counter-affidavit disposed to by Mrs. Queen Ubah and dated, August 7, 2013, denied all the points canveassed by the state government in the suit.

The Federal Government maintained that the only option available to the state government was to seek written permission from NIWA to use the lagoon for the constructuon.

The Federal Government also stated that, “It is imperative my Lord, that the only legal option available to the Lagos State Government is to seek the consent and approval of the second respondent (NIWA) for a written permission to use the inland waterways for the construction of its suspension bridge at Ikoyi and Lekki Lagoon in the state as specified by law, rather than resort to the illegal encroachment of the statutory functions of NIWA by purported repeal of NIWA Act.”

Really happy for her. It takes courage to return back to school especially when your mates are already on a new level.

This part of the news is false.

This should serve as a lesson for ladies that date married men.
the soldier should not be there in the first place but what can you say he did the right thing..
Policemen seize okadas riding on the ikorodu road

The owners are either charged a fee to get the bikes back or they are taken to

their stations where it is sold to other interested okada men. Okada men have

taken advantage of this and returned massively back to the express road against

the law of the state. That is why the soldiers and military policemen were deployed

to that road. Most especially because of uniformed men feeling above the law riding

on okadas and driving on BRT lanes.

seresearch: Thanks for this info. Please, Nigerians should see this as a blessing. If power would be down for a week as a result of maintenance work alone, then that is a sign of good things to come.

Honestly, I believe in Nigeria. It must be well with us. We have many points of light amidst the darkness. For example, here is a new Nigerian NGO using very simple but unconventional means to put an end to unemployment and poverty in the country: i-Gube (www.igube.org)

And please, pray that everything will continue to work out well because, believe me, there are thousands of people who must be working assiduously against the whole show for economic, political and other ends.
Always these prayers ni shaaa.
