I remember stepping into a store to buy a bottle of Jack Daniels, packaged the drink and stepped out after paying up.

Having covered some few distance away from the store, I heard the Indian store man calling me back. I turned and walked back to him.

"Hey man, you didnt take your change"- forcing dozens of coins(all kinds of sizes and weights) into my hands.

I waz like- "what tha 4k!!!! You called me back for 4king COINS!!!!" shocked - Cant even remember when last I saw coins.

My friend that was with me just said- "Oboi if u no want make you give me- this alone go cover bus tickets".

I never knew coins get value.

From Barking took Hammersmith and city Line, arrived at Paddington and joined another train to Reading.

Nah so I go enter first class coach o.

I was the only black dude on the train, this old lady came over and told me I was seating on her seat- that it was reserved.

Na so I jump enter another seat- then a average aged man came, told me I was on his seat, jumped to the third seat. Another person came and said the same.

People were just looking at me. I was so so embarrassed- I just stood up and waited at the rear until the train started moving. Looked for an empty seat and jumped in- pretended to sleep all the way.

WebmastersRe: Nigerian Online Ventures That Are Offshoots Of Nairaland by baslone: 1:03pm On Dec 20, 2013
emmanuel ewumi: I still stand to be corrected by the time lottery business become the largest employer in an economy, that economy is sitting on a time bomb.
I guess lottery business is also the largest employer of labour in japan, US, Canada, Germany etc.
I quite understand and respect your opinion.

Maybe it works that way on paper.

For me- If I wake up tomorrow morning and close down my business- Over 2000 Nigerians just lost their daily bread.

That alone has an impact on the economy, no matter how little it is.
WebmastersRe: Nigerian Online Ventures That Are Offshoots Of Nairaland by baslone: 10:12am On Dec 20, 2013
emmanuel ewumi: By that time Nigerians will be the most impoverished people on planet earth. A country where lottery business is the major employer of labour is definitely sitting on a time bomb.
I am going to assume you don't know what you are saying.

The business is a large industry for more than 3 centuries in the UK with
over 15,000 betting shops all over and it is no secret it contributes largely to the british economy.

Most televised sports in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe are now
sponsored wholly or partly by Internet and high street bookmakers.

Many of the bookmakers are sponsoring some of the major football teams in the
major European football leagues that you sit down in your house with your laptop
on your lap and watch eg Stoke city, Werder Bremen, Real Madrid, Newcastle, Spurs etc

In Singapore, Sweden, Canada and Japan, the only legal bookmaker is owned and operated by the state.

Why have all these states not blown by the time bomb?

JulianBond007: LASTMA should start arresting commercial bus drivers who pick passengers at Car Wash bus stop. The reckless drivers abandon the designated bus stop and use the petrol station on the car wash bus stop to pick passengers. You need to see the way these animals display foolishness to pick passengers with their buses. Smh angry
RIP to the LAWMA guy! embarassed
People will always complain, calling The Lagos state government names.

When they were ban and restricted to service lanes, people complained but it's effect at the end of the day is a big plus.

Same goes for the ban on okadas.
