To those on AP, the best thing you can do now is to take your mind off it and channel your energy into something else. I have been there and I know how crazy it could be. Let me tell you how mine went. I was placed on AP for 10 business days (2 weeks) and the moment was full of 'drama'. My status showed AP for three days after my interview and then changed to DENIED. I was confused because my interview went well and the document withheld for confirmation was MY SCHOOL CERTIFICATE (BS). Strange? I know right. Then afterwards, it changed back to AP and then ISSUED.
To be honest, I knew I had done a lot of hard work to get myself to that point and couldn't allow stupid AP put me down. The moment I saw DENIED, I started preparing myself for another interview because I told myself I AIN'T THROWING IN THE TOWEL ... WE DIE THERE! I was now praying for my certificate to get returned so that I could start a new process. Na long story but let me stop here.
Be that as it may, you guys have been through a lot before getting to the point of AP. Take mind off it and focus on something else! Definitely, it shall end in praise.... Nothing do you jare.. bless up
Sorry for any typo, typing on motion blah blah blah |

There are tons of schools that give full funding for you intending program. However, schools that fit Mr. A's profile may not be suitable for Mrs. B's profile. So, you may need to do a comprehensive search and note schools that are suitable for your profile. Usnews.com, gradcafe, quora.com will be good starting points Credah: Thank you... but do you have names of schools that gives full funding for PhD in computer Engineering. |

This is indeed sad! All in the name of election. All these people (Atiku, Buhari and Co.) are not worth sweating for talk-less of dying. The political players are just toying with and using helpless citizens. If Atiku wins, come next 2 years, Buhari may defect to PDP and vice versa.
I think our mentality is faulted! When the whites denigrate blacks we shout 'racism'! Are we (Nigerians) any better?... Well, in my opinion, I think we are worse.... We denigrate ourselves both by tribe and religion... not so cool!
It is just so saddening that some folks lost their lives for these unrepentant fools we call politicians. They are so selfish and use we citizens as tools for achieving their own selfish goals......
sigh!

So you really think the problem isn't from the leaders? Okay.... Don't you think they could have made many precautions like constructing good roads, banning vehicle with 'mechanical leprosy' and implement policies that could have prevented this from ever happening?.... Agreed, we need to take responsibility for our actions and inactions. But this wouldn't happen in a sane environment. ChidiAlaigbo: Leaders! Leaders!! Leaders!!!
Was the trailer driven by our leaders ?
We the common people of Nigeria need to start taking responsibility and to obey the rules and regulations of the road. Ki lo de!
My cousin is a senior member of FRSC and he tells me enough to know the average Nigerian driver is irresponsible and dangerous. The government has done everything possible to make the road safe but we are stubborn and difficult people. We make life so so hard for ourselves. |

What a tragic incident. It is really sad when things that can easily be curbed claim lives of innocent Nigerians that are trying really hard to meet their needs... This whole thing is as result of a failed system. Our leaders do not really care about the common people of Nigeria. I really look forward to the day the populace will rebuke this injustice. #thinkaboutit
May the souls of the deceases rest in peace and may God comfort their folks. Again, this is so easy to type and I may forget about this the moment I log out of NL but this will drill holes in the hearts of the people concerned....
May God protect us and our folks from untimely death we Nigerians do not deserve!

Yes, you two can apply at the same time. Many have done this but you may wanna put other things like 'what is she gonna be doing there, how long she is gonna stay, what have you' into consideration. I hope this helps, I have little experience kinda. The ogas will give better responses auriel: Urgent advise needed.

Education › Re: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by Bassmana: 8:02pm On Jan 10, 2019 |
Congratulations on that score. First thing first, you need to pat yourself at the back for a job well done. You see when it comes to GRE, a 'good' score is relative. It depends on the schools you are sending your applications to. Even if you rewrite and get 325, you may get denied. So, the one important thing here is school selection in respect to your profile... However, having a great score is a good in order to increase your chance of getting admitted. In my opinion, I think you can make do of the score since you are an engineering major and you hit 160 in Q (not bad at all). You may wanna write TOEFL to polish your profile. Then, package am wella.... In a nutshell, you have what it takes to get admitted into all the schools listed. Cheers! scipy: Hi guys,
Great job y'all are doing here! I finally wrote the GRE after a prolonged wait. I hardly had time to prep for the exam and my scores reflect this (Q161 V149)
I am gunning for a MSc/PhD in Electrical Engineering
Schools of choice:
San Diego State Uni University of Tennessee Washington State Uni Uni of Toledo
My unofficial WES undergrad GPA is 3.71/4.00 Electrical/Electronic Engineering 1 year work experience No publication
I am a bit afraid about my scores being poor. I would appreciate advise on the choice of schools and any other relevant advice Thanks guys! |

elevatedmind: Visa Approved. Dec 21st
VO: What are you going to the US for? Me: my Master's degree in Plant Pathology at the University of Georgia in Athens.
(I think he noticed my GRA)
VO: What's your research going to be on? Me: Molecular diagnosis of plant pathogens and development of effective disease management strategies
VO: What is molecular diagnosis? Me: DNA-based method. Advancement of morphological technique. E.g. PCR... this involves DNA isolation and PCR analysis and subsequently search on the NCBI (I said the meaning of NCBI here) database to determine the genus and specie. (I said this all a little haphazardly).
VO: Are you married Me: No
VO: Do you have kids Me: No
I will be approving your Visa now. Pick up in circled location in 3 business days.
It was all God's Grace.
