Thank you for this question, I think these two points might be the answer! The culture of herdsmen don't have any regard or value for children. You can see how they send children under the age of ten to herd the cow in the bush all by themselves, denying them education, unwittingly grooming them for life of violence!

Another point to show of their disrespect for children is the almajiri system in the north, you can see how they allowed their society to breed without demanding responsibility from the parents!
