Hello Nairalander, please anyone with first-hand experience of settling down in UK with dependants? Going to Bournemouth in January with spouse and 2 kids. I would appreciate anyone with the experience to share on how easy or otherwise to get settled as a student with such dependants. Someone advised I should go first and bring my dependants later. Is this a better option? Thanks. |

Please I got admission to Swansea University, and would like to know if there's anyone here who has gotten. Also, please if it's a good school for International students. |

jagalboy:It's Ifeanyi Ubah's paper, what do you expect? |
October1960:Do you mind them at all? Can we say the level of development for the past 16 yrs was commensurate to income generated in those years? It's too early for you guys to rate this present government and mind you.........they will work and everyone would see. Even haters wouldn't be able to ignore the coming changes. And by the way, this new government's budget is just about to be passed by NA.....wailers should wait and see. |
yorubatic:It's either you are too childish or you are not even a Yoruba. Why do you want to prove yourself to anybody if i may ask? Yoruba don't have problem of identity, so no need to prove anything to anybody. Try and grow up boy! |
francizy:Somehow you don't understand what you read or you just decided to ignore the fact in the story. Please go back and read the story again maybe you'll be able to understand a little. See below for instance and stop saying rubbish: Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan and former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison Madueke, gave approval for Ocean Marine Tankers (OMT) Limited, founded by Captain Hosa Okunbor, Tunde Ayeni and Mr. Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), to take over delivery of crude to Warri Refinery. |
Lemon12:Ab'ode le leyi ni? |
I thank God this man was booted out of office. From this statement, you'll know his perception of that office he's holding - chop I chop! This is very bad of someone calling himself a leader!! Thank God again for voting him out. Away with nonsense. |
Sincere9gerian:And Jonathan was there for 6 years and could not effect thesame true federalism. How long did it take him to convene the national conference after so much clamour. To even implement the recommendation was another tussle, not until he started sensing a loss at the poll did he quickly promised to implement the recommendation as campaign strategy to get support from the SW. But it was too late for him. |
ManUtdholic:I don't think you understand the voting pattern in SW. Go and talk to any civil servant or artisan in Ibadan. You will hear statement like - I will vote Ladoja for governorship but Buhari as president. And those are the real voters. Don't think the fact that people might not want to vote Ajimobi automatically translate to them voting Jonathan. SW voters get sense. Don't forget what happened in 2011 - They voted for APC governors and voted for PDP president. |
He said, “There are two main problems confronting us as a nation: The issue of insecurity in the North where we have the Boko Haram terrorists and in the South where we have commercial kidnapping. The next thing that people worry about after security is the issue of corruption.HE DOESN'T EVEN BELIEVE IN IT. ...That people worry about |
Built2last: I love Yoruba people. Have many of them as friends. I have never gone with them for any traditional marriage cos i have not been able to imagine myself lieing on the floor that i came for marriage.Rather that tradition you don't like is getting stronger by the day. If you stray to Yoruba land for marriage, u don't have any option than to prostrate for the bride's family. That's our culture and we like it that way. |
chukwudi44: are you implying that purgatory only applies to those who died during the time of Noah?Purgatory? You are the one that gave it a name actually. God destroyed the that world then by flood and those guys were not privileged to hear the message of salvation that Jesus brought. And since the bible clearly stated that salvation can only be accessed through the name Jesus, he had to go to hell in other to extend that opportunity to them. |
Bulldog: well if you dont understand what i mean by "jews" in there, i meant those that aren't his disciples. And if you think you are smart, are christians jews given that christ himself is a jew? Finally purgatory is right inside the bible but you dont want to read. That verse you quoted is clear enough for it to be misunderstood bro! Read verse 20 again and you will understand it's taking about those who died during the water of Noah and has nothing to do with anyone who dies now or anytime after that. |
Na magun, nothing else! |
biafranqueen:So what tribe bears Obasanjo? It's better to keep quiet if you don't know what to say. Obasanjo is a deep Yoruba word with deep meaning, go and research the meaning because I won't waste my time trying to explain it to you. |
Happening here life in Ibadan |
One of Agagu's name is Kokumo, a name given to abiku in Yoruba land. Hmmm.....well God knows what's hidden to human! RIP to the dead. |
holyvirgin: I think dangote should invest in the north, a refinery in SW region is not the best thing to do. If they can kill innocent northerners simply because the price of beans increased then I don't see the reason why such huge investments should be made in their land.I think you just wanted to comment for the sake of it! Did you read about the Yoruba beans merchants that were slaughtered some months ago in the north for no reason? And just to clear your ignorance, there was no killing of any hausa in Ibadan, it was just a protest and the state government had resolved the matter. Go and rest! |
solomonwis: If you meet the minimum threshold in the four language abilities, you will get the 4 points. So there can't be 3,2 or 1 points for the second language? |
solomonwis: You can get details here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/factor-language.aspSo for second language, one can only get 4 or zero, not any other score in-between? |
solomonwis: Speaking. 7.0 = 6 points {CLB 9 and above}Hi Solomonwis, on what condition is second language points obtainable? |
I still don't know why someone convicted of murder should be allowed to live! Armed robbers killing innocent person now hanged and some people are talking of human right, didn't the convict violate human right in the first place by killing the innocent? |
bayo1: Hello Solomonwis |
pauloman: You dont put till date on that form broWhat of my current job? What date should be at the "end date"? Should it be the date I filled the form?you just fill out the durations you have worked for. They are other documents like the Reference letter from you employer that should feature your are still working till date with them while the others previous employments shows you are no longer working there. |
solomonwis: Hello Bayo,Can you be more specific about which forms you are referring to?Hello Solomonwis, an example is shown in this pix. Is it right to enter "till date" if that's my current job? Secondly, can the document notarization be done by any court?
|
Hi solomonwis, Some of the forms has slots to fill in the current job and requires a date and there is usually no option of writing for instance - From: 2009-05-05 To: "till date" What should be written in this case if one is still holding that position? |
flexya: ojoo development has notin to do with ajimobi. its a FG project which is just bein completed as part of the ibadan- ilorin express. Kudos to GEJ as OBJ never saw it half-completed in 6yrs.And what of other projects going on in Ibadan not to talk of other major towns in Oyo state? Good you stated those facts about road constructed by Ladoja, but a blind man can't even deny the fact that Ajimobi excel all of them all join! |
Mee234: Please mention some of those gia nt strides. abi no be the oyo stateAnd when was the last time you visited Ibadan? |
Inik: Fashola is the only performing Acn governorI think you also need to visit Ibadan! Making comments without leaving your hole is too bad. |
