Nairaland GeneralJustice For Chima by bayumyguy(op): 1:28am On Feb 15, 2020
At last they have been arrested.

THE MURDEROUS POLICE OFFICERS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AND DETAINED

The police officers who allegedly tortured Chima Ikwunado to death and injured four others have been arrested and detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).

Lawyer to family of the late Chima, Princess Chinyere, disclosed this few days ago after a meeting with Ohanaze Ndigbo and Association of Ikokwu Traders in Port Harcourt.

They were identified as:

(1) Inspector. Ayogu Fidelix
(2) Inspector. Enyinna Samuel
(3) Inspector. Tokpe
(4) Inspector. Uche
(5) Sgnt. Eke Chibuzor
(6) Sgnt. Felix Obi
(7) Sgnt. Rose, the only female officer among the murderous police squared who was touching Chima Ikwunado's penis while he was being tortured and threatening to cut it off was later arrested.

Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Dandaura, redeploys Commander of Eagle Crack Team SP Benson Adetuji under whose watch, Chima Ikwunado was tortured to death and four others brutalised, to ensure transparent investigation into #Ikoku5 case. In my opinion, SP Benson Adetuyi should not be redeployed any where, he should be arrested and prosecuted as well, he was actively involved in the crime. If there is any one to be redeployed, it should be the Rivers State Commissioner of Police because the Eagle Crack team that carried out this dastardly act were his men - (The commissioner's squared)

It has become an irony of gigantic proportion that Chima an Igbo man was tortured to death by mostly, Police officers from his own tribe. These officers whom about five of them were Igbo knew that Chima and his friends were Igbo brothers and that they were innocent yet they went ahead and tortured him to death and severely brutalised the other four even as they continued to shout for help in Igbo!

Chima wouldn't have died if he was Hausa man or even spoke Hausa. A friend told me how he was immediately released from Police cell after he spoke Hausa and Hausa Police officer approached him to asked him what he did and he spoke in Hausa that he did nothing and the officer approached their commander and solicited for his release.

In 1999, there was a similar case in Bauchi involving Governor Adamu Muazu.

The court found that his running mate was not qualified to contest the election and the Supreme Court nullified the election of Adamu Muazu and directed INEC to conduct a fresh election.

Wetin come change that law between then and now? Any law reform?

Justice Femi Adamson of the Lagos High Court, Ikeja has fixed February 3, 2020 for hearing of the suit filed by football agent Henry Ajamah against Nigeria’s international football player and Club Brugge FC, Belgium star, David Okereke.

Ajamah had late last year dragged the young Nigerian international before the court over an alleged breach of contract.

Ajamah who claims to have picked up the football player from the streets and nurtured him until he became a star, is demanding for his commission from the 8million euro contract fee Okereke was recently paid by Clug Brugge FC.

Joined in the suit as co-defendants are FIFA agent and CEO of Pro One Sports Management Ltd, Ebenezer Itorho, Okereke’s legal guardian Napoleon and father Oke Okereke.

Okereke has not filed a defence to the suit but in a recent online publication, he was quoted to have denied signing any contract with Ajamah.

In his statement of claims, Ajamah averred that sometime in 2013, he came across Okereke who was then an amateur footballer in Lagos and offered to manage and promote his career.

After consultation with Okereke’s guardain and subsequently his father, Ajamah claimed that he took the responsibility of paying him a monthly allowance, buying sporting materials and bearing his training expenses before and during the 2014 Under-17 Camp where he was eventually dropped from the squad by then Coach Emmanuel Amuneke.

In 2014, the claimant averred that Football College Abuja, took the young star for a football exhibition games in Italy and Croatia, where he was spotted by some football scouts and eventually secured a deal with an Italian Football Club, Spezie FC in Serie B Division.

After awhile the claimant averred that Okereke appealed for his assistance for a better deal out of Spezia FC and he (Ajamah) subsequently secured the services of Itorho who resides in Italy to he get the youngster a new club under a 50-50 commission sharing agreement.
