With the plaza accord, the US was in the driver's seat. With the bonds issue, the Chinese are in the driver's seat. It's not the same thing. Buying US bonds in layman's terms is like your meat seller begging you to buy meat that you don't need.

Plaza Accord was a laser focus economic policy imposed on the Japanese that destroyed their economy, leading to what is known as the lost decade.

China will not buy US bonds this time. In Chinese views, the US cannot be trusted. No matter the agreement China has with these leaders in Beijing, they will revert back to their normal hate when they arrive in the US.

Also, why should China give its enemies that are bent on killing her the finances to do so? I mean if you are going to kill me, then you better work hard for my death. I won't give you the bullet you will shoot me with.

May I bring to your attention that in the 2008 financial crisis, China helped the US out of the crisis. When going to beg China then, just like now, the US offer some concessions and pledge not to poke China and harm its interests.

Like manipulators, the US has no strength of its own to defeat China. It can only defeat China if China plays its own game. China should just ignore the US and let them do their worse.

So if China does not buy US bonds, the implication would be, as usual, constant media bashing, amplifying the China threat to the world, especially East Asian countries, and seeking to create a bloc of military confrontation.

But the key issue here is this. Buying US bonds won't prevent this, it will only postpone it, give the dragon more blood to be stronger, and become more ferocious.

All in all, I can always trust the Chinese to make a good decisions. They are master strategists, and China is led by competent leaders, not colored flag-waving mofos that are so hegemonic, to the point of stupidity.

One issue with CHAMS though is this .....
Once there's positive news, one may not see to buy easily at cheaper price again.......
This kind of stock can favour the heavy investors who have spare fund to be picking and just forget in their portfolio.
