Everything you write now about Tinubu you more or less wrote about Dokpesi after the Independence day bombing. What on Earth are you talking about ? I don't think you have been reading what others have written properly. Show , in this thread or anywhere else on Nairaland, where I hold Tinubu to be innocent of any charge of corruption or misconduct. Please oblige the forum and show this because nothing is worse than those who debate from a position of falseness.

No one is saying the corrupt must not be punished or that misconduct must be allowed to carry the day but it seems we are utterly 'bush' (totally lacking in political sophistication) when we allow a government of corruption to pretend it is dealing with corruption. It matters not to some of you that the most corrupt in the land are in team GEJ. This is not how it is done worldwide. In politically sophisticated Countries, citizens would unanimously conclude vociferously that Government , if it is to be taken seriously, deal with corruption within its own rank before it has the moral authority to prosecute those in the opposition .

The situation becomes even more deplorable and condemnable when we have a Government abetting corruption with how it has rejuvenated and empowered , everywhere
, those who have been corrupt and inept all their political lives like Anenih. We have a long way to go in Nigeria when we cannot see through the cheap ruse of those who are the masters of corruption.

I already admitted a few post up that I am a Boko Haram sympathiser so lets put that to bed.

Any professional security service will have at most released a video or picture of the suspect only in custody and not paraded him to journalists. If they so wished, they can display the arms they claim they recovered from him in another picture where the suspect doesnt feature. What you do not understand is that parading this miscreant with those arms in front of him means that the SSS have influenced any court case that may come about as a result of this arrest and if this happened in a country where the courts judiciary is effective, there is a good chance the case will be thrown out without prejudice.

I understand things work differently in nigeria but all I am trying to point out here is that the SSS is not as professional as Edoyad claims.

I still stand by my assertion that this guy was not the mastermind of and probably had nothing to do with the Jos Bombings.
You are talking nonsense and grappling at straws, but what sense can come out of a boko haram sympathiser?

Ek clark nominated Orubebe to become minister, the whole of Urhobo under UPU nominated three candidate for GEJ to appoint but Ek Clark insisted that he must be the one to nominate a minister for Urhobo or Urhobo will have no minister. Urhobos rejected his stooge called Gbagi who is more loyal to Ek clark than the entire Urhobo nation. Ek clark boasted that Urhobo will not have minister and GEJ complied with it.

Urhobos are by far more than Ijaw in terms of population. Either Urhobo or Edo should be the 4th largest ethnic group in Nigeria. Urhobo is an edoid group.
Pure Ijaw of Bayelsa+Ijoid groups in river state are still < Urhobo+Urhoboid group(Isoko)
Bayelsa has eight unpopulated local government while Urhobo and Isoko has 10 heavily populated LG.
The population of Uwie alone is more than 3 Bayelsa LG put together. We still have nine LG left while Bayelsa has 5 left out of its 8LG. The total population of Ijaw in delta state is less than the population of Ugheli North LG. Sapele and Udu LG will compensate for the remaining 5 LG in Bayelsa. Urhobos still have six more heavily populated LG that is more than all the Ijawid groups put together or are they saying Ijaws in rivers and other Ijawid groups are more than the Ijaws in Bayelsa? There are still Urhobo communities in Bayelsa.
In the last election, total registered voters in Bayelsa <500,000 whille Urhobo recorded 867000 out of which over 800,000 voted for GEJ while the total vote GEJ got from Bayelsa is 433,000.
Now tell me why Ijaw should get oil minister and Urhobo =0
Tell me why Ijaw got Niger delta minister and Urhobo=0
Tell me why Ijaw got special adviser on amnesty and Urhobo=0
Tell me why Ijaw got ministry of foreign affairs and Urhobo=0
Let us assume Itsekiri was not given minister because Itsekiri has the governorship but special adviser nko.
In the same vein Ijaw should not have minister because the president is Ijaw , so Urhobo should get ministerial appointment first.
You can see that there is problem
So the Urhobo are marginalised now, its no longer the Itsekiri? Lol!
Dude, your arguments are as impotent as a flacid diick.

Maybe it is Ijaw land. They seem to be the most assertive group out of the ND.

I was just asking how the Ijaws stopped the Urhobos from producing a minister. I don't see how much sense that claim makes, but maybe someone can explain it to me.
That is one nonsense I'm only hearing for the first time too. The Urhobo's are quite assertive and fought hard for a ministerial post, but didn't get it. However, GEJ is surrounded with both Itsekiri's and Urhobo's in quite sensitive positions close to him.

When you hear stories of marginalisation in Delta state, its usually some group of corrupt political bastards trying to make mischief (in this case, ACN).
The governor of Delta state is Itsekiri, so how can they be marginalised?
The Ijaws are a smaller minority in Delta state than the Itsekiri's, so how on Earth can they marginalise the Itsekiri?

Even the case for marginalisation of the Itsekiri by the FG is complete hogwash. The FG has just secured investment to build Africa's largest industrial park in Koko, which is Itsekiri land. The total of that package is a whopping $16billion (about 60% of our 2011 budget); many other ethnic groups would die for such "marginalisation."

No group is marginalised in Delta state, both at FG and state levels.

If Ibori had not crossed the line seriously, as the Southern ringleader and SS "traitor" to GEJ , during the Yar Adua health sage then he would be another PDP looter enjoying his 'stash' today!!! Simple as that !!!!

For the avoidance of doubt, I want GEJ to see this thing with Tinubu to the end. Let us see who has more to lose. Clever folks know this is about two things (1) GEJ wants tenure elongation and (2) Obasanjo and the PDP want the SW back. Tinubu stands in the way of both . Tinubu has defeated them tactically and strategically . Now the new terrain is the partisan use of executive power OBJ was famous for. The miscalculation of GEJ, egged on by "do or die" mentors who have already gotten him into trouble he is yet to overcome ala 'poisoned chalice', begin with this efforts that sees him thinking simplistically that he wins once Tinubu is politically neutralised.

I suspect no jail term will be involved - is this just an attempt to prevent Tinubu from contesting as a Pres or VP in 2015? Methinks if Tinubu is not charged and convicted of a more serious crime, then this is a political witch hunt.

Haba after years of threatening this man, can't they find more serious crimes to charge him?  EFCC and the code of conduct bureau must either be run by incompetent fools or these wild accusations against Tinubu have no validity or merit.
There is no jail term for maintaining foreign accounts. But he will almost certainly be banned from public office for the next ten years.

Its the domino effect of this trial that matters, like I said elsewhere yesterday, its the opening of Pandora's box. Already, we have perjury being attached, which is jailable and easily provable. Then we have the fact that EFCC eys will begin prying deep into Lagos states affairs (Ikuforiji will sing a horrible song in vengeance). Schumacher never tried to chop Jensen, he only did it to Lewis.
Its beginning to become quite clear that the F1 authorities want to frustrate him out of the sport.

I like the way Lewis played the game today, as well as with the Kobayashi incident. If I were him I would just lie low as he's doing now, keep gathering evidence and then sue the bollocks off the FIA.
There are enough glaring incidents to do that now and according to the commentary, the paddock was abuzz with whispers that Lewis would have had the FIA on his back if he had as much as attempted one of Schumacher's numerous dangerous moves. It takes a lot for a team principal to come on the radio to warn an experienced driver several times that he was breaking the rules.
