Politics › Re: A Letter To President Jonathan On Ijaw, By Urhobos by Beaf: 3:37pm On Jun 08, 2012
blink182: Urhobo is a nation being destroyed by greed. Ask the urhobo nation to provide 2 candidates for appointment. Oghara will produce 2, Agbarha-Otor will produce 4, Jesse will produce 2, as a matter of fact the 25 kingdoms must produce at least 1 candidate for just 2 slots they were asked to fill. Before you know what is happening, Okpe or Isoko will say they are not Urhobo and produce 2 candidates and the stronger opponent takes it. This scenario has played times without end in the past and prompted people like Chief Mowoe of blessed memory to form Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU)so we could speak in one powerful voice in the 1940's. Today the UPU is a shadow of itself having a president that can't even speak the language in the person of Gen. Patrick Aziza.

Greed has totally messed us up that today the UPU is nothing, now we have G3, Urhobo Political Forum(UPF)and other small unions like the one who wrote this petition all sprang up because everybody wanted something to control. Chief Benjamin Okumagba succeeded in messing up the UPU, was challenged vehemently but Urhobo kings were too facking weak to take side. We have gradually destroyed ourselves and brought to the level where we are today.

My dad worked hard to restore sanity but he was just too upright for the system. I have stopped blaming him now but if he had put uprightness aside, I probably would be a globe trotting brat and spewing shit about Nigeria and only coming home when I need to change stashed money. My dad was one of the few that took Urhobo to its highest point, won't mention his office else he would be easily spotted as that office is now the heritage of the yorubas and hausas.

I guess the final straw of our destruction was Chief James Ibori, Ibori was the major force that delayed the making of Jonathan Acting president through Aondokaa. We know how far Ibori went to make sure the country was ruled by a person in coma. Ibori is Urhobo and if my kinsmen did to me what ibori did to Jonathan, I won't associate with them when I eventually get my goal.

When delta state was created out of Bendel state, being the majority, we were asked to chose where we wanted to be made capital, if I am not wrong we offered 4 choices and while we were busy arguing whose should be chosen, the FG took it to Asaba. We are now so weak, we can't even retain office of the governor. Chief Ighoyota Amori will definitely get his evil reward for the atrocities he has committed against his own people.

We planted the seed of our destruction and it has grown over 20 years and blossomed, now is the time of harvest. We must all eat from it.
Urhobo people have always been highly individualistic, UPU was only so big in the past because of the subjugation of Urhobo land while we were still in the Western Region; it is easy to see thats its decline commenced in the time of Jereton Mariere when we were emancipated as a vibrant part of the Midwest.

The individualism of the Urhobo people is a positive mark that has seen them perform way above ethnic groups of similar size. Count Nigeria's richest today and Urhobo land is over represented; count bank ownership, again the same over-representation. Is it nollywood (Zak Amata etc) you mean to look at or is it JAMB scores or achievements in the legal field (Ovie-Whiskey, Keyamo etc)? Media ownership? What? How many know that Chief Majoroh is the architect behind the Teslim Balogun stadium and other massive projects?

Urhobo people are amongst Nigeria's most vocal, daring and brave as well, another pointer to why they are so successful even though a only tiny minority in Nigeria.

Those people asking vocally for ministerial appointments come across as mere area boys. All the Urhobo person needs is an enabling environment to allow our individualism and daring to thrive.
Quite clearly, those who wrote that appalling letter with its disgraceful display of poor English are barely educated, mentally squalid embarrassments to the Urhobo nation. But our friends here (the ethnically bigotted rabid rabble and yellow-eyed jealous finger pointing outsiders) cannot know that the average Urhobo is highly educated, intelligent and would never put out such low quality literary trash; talkless grovel for handouts.
Anyway, many of our yellow-eyed outsider friends are only used to listening to NURTW and OPC, so its no surprise.

All I see on this thread are the usual Yoruba bigots who think they own an inch of Delta state fooling themselves as usual. Some of them are even claiming to be Urhobo.

Pathetic.

Bullshiit! People should be either sacked or shot for this!
Damn! I am so distressed and angry at this news. What is wrong with Nigerians?
First people looted the site as soon as the plane crashed without the least effort to save lives or concern for humanity. Now Fashola's govt is filling the streets with rubble from the crash site with zero respect for the dead, zero respect for the distressed residents, zero respect for health and zero levels of morality.

Common sense says, bury that rubble in an unknown place.

Up ACN!

The OP's fear of maths seems like a ready pointer for the clear direction to follow. Thats not to say though, that one cannot thrive in a technical field without maths, but the odds against finding that type are atrociously high; most technically minded people can take maths in their stride.

Eyewitness reports say a Chinese man came out of the plane alive. He wasn't helped, instead he was bombarded with questions (and no doubt robbed), he later collapsed and died.
It is really difficult to think of a way to save our dear country when our people are so feral.

Study medicine. Its a bloody no-brainer (if you are Mr Average).
The UK needs doctors and you will quickly earn a salary that will make your bank account jump up and sing halleluyah.
So long as you have the brains, you can always tack IT on.

If you are a whizz kid like Bill Gates though, then you actually don't need school; all you need is a plan. lol
Politics › Re: 16 MASSOB Members Killed, 83 Injured, 500 Arrested In Raid Of MASSOB Offices ! by Beaf: 2:24pm On Jun 07, 2012
olaheavy: SPILLING OF THE Igbo CANNIBALS' BLOOD UNITES NIGERIANS!
Yes! Good observation! There's nothing more that gladdens the hearts of true Nigerians (Yoruba, Hausa/Fulani and the Minorities) than total annihilation of the Igbo human eaters! You wonder why you scums of the earth are ferociously hated by all and sundry. You call us cowards, but look at how just about fifty Nigerian soldiers massacred 16, maimed more than 80, and arrested 500 of your cowardly scumbags. At least the Yoruba soldiers destroyed your forefathers in their millions and ultimately won the war during your failed and disastrous campaign called Biafra! How can the Yoruba be cowards when we were the ones that won the civil war during which time the Hausa soldiers (Muritala and Shuwa) were just bumbling and fumbling? Even among your Biafran clowns, it was only when Ojukwu went to the ECN (now NEPA/PHCN) building (when the Nigerian soldiers were miles away from Enugu) to BEG that valiant Yoruba soldier, Col. Victor Banjo, and he agreed to HELP Ojukwu that the tide of the war changed -- otherwise, your ragtag MASSOB (sorry, my fault) Biafran boy scouts would have been decimated within days! You always talk about people envying you rats. What! Is it your uncultured ways of life or your unbriddled, uncouth and lack of styles and finesse or your uncivilized lifestyle whence your women wear only useless three-piece wrapper called 'george' and puff-puff blouse? Or, is it your men wearing oversized hat festooned with chicken feathers on top of an over-sized buba over a ridiculous woman wrapper? Or, oftentimes, when your men wear newborns' skull wooly caps over an over-sized teeshirt complimented with a f.o.o.lish woman wrapper? At least millions of you draggons live and prosper in our Yorubaland and you're able to learn or copy from our ways of life and beautiful culture -- it's now that some of you dogs who live amongst us (the real people) now look and act like human beings. You fo.o.ls should be ashamed of yourselves! Leave Yorubaland now! Just leave!
You are a fool.

What a dummy! Maybe you think the June 12 riots were a picnic where you could leisurely walk round and take pictures.
Do you even think camera's were as compact as they are now that you would have a camera on your neck while uprooting the barriers between lanes on Ikorodu Road? Yes, we uprooted the barriers and used them to block the road. Have you ever seen a picture of the June 12 riots? Those who were there will laugh at your suggestion, because it was nothing todays youth can imagine.

Dude, ask your people who were shivering under their beds while he-men were owning the streets just what it was like. lol!

ypzilanti: You are ample proof that the ability to string english words together and form a sentence does not translate to a big IQ.

For instance, Martin Luther King is a hero to all black people and people who believe in human rights. Should the president now name an insitution created by a law in Nigeria Martin Luther King University without consultation?

ACN eulogized MKO while disagreeing on the manner of the announcement and querying the choice of the University. They said they preffered something in Abuja to show that he was a National leader, or using June 12 as democracy day.

I am not from ACN. I do like Fashola as a governor...and unlike you and your master Jonathan, I do not always agree with everything he does.

My relationship with fashola is not one where he pays me money to spew rubbish on the internet, so I guess I will never really understand you.
Does my IQ make you feel inadequate, bro? No hard feelings, its not intentional, I was created that way. cool
ACN would have loved to be consulted, they didn't get consulted and thats the reason for this infantile hullabaloo.

ACN prefers something in Abuja for MKO, because they want to throw his legacy far away from themselves. They feel threatened by any big name, from Awo, to Gani and MKO. These are all names they have insulted.
It is wicked and foolish of them to say they do not want any trace of MKO in Lagos, the Abiola family has already expressed its deep shock at the political machinations, so I do not need to go over that.

What we are witnessing is the basardy of principle and morality in ACN. What can be expected of a party whose drug baron leader, Tinubu commanded area boys to pelt Gani Fawehinmi with satchets of pure water for challenging his "Toronto" certificate? What can be expected of a party that regularly spits on the legacy of Pa Awolowo and insults his lifelong wife?

Its the now familiar echo of gutter breeding, bottom feeding and mud munching. embarassed

From another thread...

Beaf: GEJ can do anything he wishes with the name of Unilag Maulag.
If anyone deslikes it, they can build their own.

I am very happy Abiola has been immortalised.
He lived in Lagos, worked in Unilag, carried out the struggle in Lagos, was arrested in Lagos, many died for his mandate in Lagos, his wife Kudirat was shot dead in Lagos, Abiola's Concord newspaper house was burnt down and closed in Lagos, Alex Ibru was shot in Lagos over June 12, Guardian newspaper was burnt and closed in Lagos, Abacha attacked the BBC transmitter in Lagos.

Blood flowed like water in Lagos.

Many people don't know the gravity of the rejection of MKO. They really don't know.

I read this post on another thread and think its apt:

edicolove: I was speaking with a political scientist yesterday and he was giving us an elaborate analysis of Nigeria and why things might not improve except there is some kind of divine intervention. It confirmed what I have always said everywhere.

The problem of Nigeria is not corruption but something more fundamental. It is the basic fact that we are a false marriage gone awry. That is the reason for corruption and other vices. This thread just confirmed it again. We are suddenly back to politics. We against them. Those who have vowed that the nation will be made ungovernable, are making good their promise. You have to give it to them, they are doing a pretty damn job!

University name change to MKO: they succeeded in turning it into a bad thing.

Plane crash from a useless airline: its got to be the presidents wife.

Its very boring now though and I think its a plus for GEJ eventually because when you throw all the kitchen sink so early in the fight, what will you do in the 11th and 12th rounds? Keep throwing your punches. You are only making the guy stronger and helping him win sympathy votes. At the end, you be so ashamed, you'll not be able to show your face in public! A country where people fight when they are not in power and call themselves social critics fighting for the masses; until they get power. Sad.

ypzilanti: Unfortuately he is. People actually voted the guy in...I was watching with my mouth wide open.

I asked people...'what in this man's past indicates to us that he will be a good leader?'

They said:

' he had no shoes'

'he was treated badly by the northerners, so we want to show them'

'his name is goodluck. he will bring goodluck to Nigeria'

I was shouting....'YEEEH! YEEEH! You people want to mess us up in Nigeria again!'

I was begging people.

I truly believe he won fair and square. We are all living through the result of a bad decision made by a lot of good intentioned but i'll informed Nigerians.
Thank goodness you realise he is your President to. I hope you feral lot will give him the chance to govern, instead of behaving like a bunch of ethnically driven freaks and subversives. ACN is a disgrace to Nigeria; no other party would throw a national hero under the bus. Nigerians are watching in rapt amazement.

Firstly, the reason for air crashes can take months to resolve. Secondly, its already everywhere in the news that both the planes engines failed as it was lining up to land. All that is left to devulge is why the engines failed (after which the Dana Air phuckers go to jail).

ypzilanti: This coming from a man that supports every single act by the PDP parasite government.

Is this what your dream for Nigeria is? A fourth world country without a reasonable healthcare system, education system, or a good road network.A country that still has polio which has been eradicated in all other countries of the world save like two others.

Now tell me exactly anywhere you feel this present government has gone wrong. Just one out of one million!

Earn your salary handing out leaflets or putting up paid adverts on newspapers. People with internet access are usually more savvy in Nigeria...no thanks to the fact that your PDP government has not figured how to increase internet connectivity in Nigeria.
Just mouthing off at PDP is old, silly and formulaic. All Nigerian parties are the same, that is why it is so damn easy to cross-carpet.
Bro, take your anti-PDP crocodile tears to fools.

Which party is remotely comparable to PDP in terms of national representation? The rest are mostly inconsequential, mushroom ethnic gatherings. Given a choice, only a fool or an ethnic bigot would choose a party outside of PDP.
Politics › Re: GEJ Seeks Senate Approval To Rename UNILAG And 2 Other Federal Universities. by Beaf: 7:31pm On Jun 06, 2012
Wallie: Close but not totally correct.

The Senate and House of Reps can override a presidential veto if they can muster two-thirds of the votes in each of the chambers against the veto. However, in the current political climate, it will be almost impossible to get the votes needed in the Senate because of the Senate being controlled by PDP. The House might get the needed votes but the House alone cannot override a presidential veto.

This is one of the check and balances built into the constitution – supermajority (two-thirds majority).

Executive + two-thirds of Senate or House = whatever they want OR
two-thirds of Senate AND two-thirds of House = whatever they want

In the end, the name change will probably stand if the President wants.
I agree, however overriding a Presidential veto requires a joint sitting and I don't see how MAULAG is that important for anyone to want to rock the nation. The deal is as good as done.
