sjeezy8: ARE YOU DUMB OBVIOUSLY A MODULE WILL TEST
GLOBAL WARMING IS INEVITABLE DUH
but that doesn't mean that Lagos state shouldn't continue to advance and build new land
that will slow it down
how do you reason We've heard similar over the years; each time bar beach again, washes away property. |

The only thing I've got on the remedy to bar breaching the ocean defences is something like "o we'll build a sea wall". Thats no answer.
What has been put in place to stop the sea wall being breached? It is both an engineering and maintainance issue. Simple. |

How much sense does it make to build some new fangled heaven on a foundation of low quality of life, squalor and corruption, lack of instutuitions and general public decorum? It is common sense to take care off those first.
Why would management of the seawall be different from the current defences? What developmental problems will Eko Atlantic solve? Its sounding more and more like a neat way to pocket dosh for a white elephant.
I'm waiting. . . |

babapupa: what question? you really shouldn't be talking and I shouldn't be wasting my time going back and forth with unnecessarily disgruntled people. You obviously open your mouth and criticize for nothing or just for the heck of it.
It's really silly to be running around putting other people down when your own people are in pain and misery, when your own backyard is odious and hopelessly backward. Why not channel all that energy and start finding solutions to the huge and almost insurmountable problems facing your own people decades to come.
Fashola is doing for Lagos on a daily basis what your stealing and looting leaders have not done and will never do for your people.
You're misguided and fighting the wrong war, the war is in your back yard so go tend to it and quit wasting your time. Why do you always resort to abuse when you are asked questions you find difficult? Just say you don't know. Then nobody will feel you're dodging. |

^Check the title of the thread. It isn't about "the guy". It is about a solution to bar beach breaching flood defenses. You just dodging the questions you've been asked by creating confusion. |

Must be from toxic fungi. Honestly, Nigeria needs to regulate food production, but its just another symptom of our "corner cutting, anything goes" style. Now people will stop eating amala for a couple of months and genuine makers will suffer. |

ogogoro: PLEASE ENOUGH WITH THE OVER-SENSITIVITY ALREADY!
Did he lie? His exact statement was "You can't believe everything you see on the internet, otherwise I would be a Nigerian millionaire by now". But is it a lie? Is there anyone here who has never received a letter from someone promising them millions, if they send some money somewhere in Nigeria. We all helped to create this monster, so why are we complaining, when it bites back at us. US ALL - NO ONE ELSE - are to blema, and the sooner we realise that, the sooner we will be able to redeem are tarnished image! When we regard money more valuable than human lives, we encourage this. When we exalt known fraudsters, and even commend them on being so "smart", we encourage this. When we envy ministers, and oil looters and leaders who publicly steal funds, while perverting justice, we encourage this. When we try to justify ourselves by saying "Ahn-Ahn, this is only small, how about X who is sitting at Aso Rock, stealing millions. . ." we encourage this. So, dear Nigerians let us not cry when this attictude bites us in the back and we create a name for ourselves as the most dishonest nation on the face of the earth! Even here on Nairaland, there are some people who have set up accounts to defraud others. How many other regional websites have people attempting to defaud their own people in measurable numbers? In my case? Yes. I don't know about you though. |
