^Check the bolded items in the post I quoted. I found them quite disturbing (much like the whole topic).
If disabled people are empowered, they can contribute a lot to society, but in Nigeria, they tend to be objects of scorn and ridicule; e.g. very few of our stand up comedians are complete if they don't exhibit some sort of disabled limp every few minutes. Our society needs remoulding.
So unemployment is the reasons handicapped beggars litter the streets of Lagos?
How do you intend to fix a job for beggars who are blind, deaf, dumb with no hands?
U amuse me?

These beggars are disabled. . . . .They cannot work.
The best thing is to send them home where they can get help instead of feeding on scraps.
Lagosians are yet to eat 3 square meals let alone feeding Northern beggars.

So because Lagos is not your property means you cannot do your best to make the place conducive for all and sundry?
The mentality of some Nigerians is nothing to write home about.
Left to you, Lagos should be left ungoverned cos(in your words). . . . .it is no one's property.
What a joke!!!
The disabled can contribute positively to society. They are equal to anybody else.

I have been following most of your posts on this forum; you come across as a cynic. You hardly see anything positive in any project.

How could you smell trouble for Lagos because Fashola will leave someday? Hello! dont make it look like Fashola is the last good thing to happen to Lagos.

Fashola is setting a new pace in Lagos, agreed. Lagos is too sophisticated democratically for a non-performer to govern, especially at this stage. I believe whoever succeeds him will even do better.

Let's be optimistic and not allow the fear of the unknown to scuttle the progressive development of the state.
Tackle the issue at hand.

Another ill informed thread. Let the legal process take its cause, instead of this rumour mongering.
Business › Re: Lekki Airport: White Elephant Project? by Beaf: 8:25pm On Aug 30, 2009
There is nothing wrong with a new airport if it is privately funded, except the danger that Lagos might be seen to have been sold off to a few individuals after all the Lekki schemes are completed.
I smell trouble for Lagos after Fashola leaves, if those coming in cannot match his energy and foresight.

If the new airport is to be funded by the state govt, the money will be better spent on a metro or new bridges across the lagoon.

All those suggesting wazobia should be lined up totured and shot.

Call it Kwarafa or Koma after the smallest group of people within our borders.

Gbawe:
I expected to find Jonathan's name on the list. Let's not forget that Jonathan should be a jailbird but for OBJ's act of vanquishing all Jonathan's 'sins' and getting Ribadu and the EFCC off our VP's back when our 'owners' decided that Jonathan must be VP to Yar Adua . Our VP's wife back , when her husband was only a Governor , attracted the EFCC's attention when she was found in possession of millions !!!!

Jonathan is nothing but a cheap and weak politician . His conscience and allegiance is for sale to the highest bidder. He was chosen as VP for this reason. It is sad to even reflect on what Nigerian has become when a common criminal like this can become our VP when far more qualified men are available. I laugh when some regard OBJ as a hero when the truth is that he is a man who endorsed retrogressive criminals and criminality when it suited him !!! There is now no pretence at Governance in Nigeria. Just Blatant Godfather-led politics of self interest.

What ,for example , is the point of Yar Adua and co going on about "Customs reforms" when our President appointed a master thief (Anenih) as NPA boss ?

Nigeria , which way forward ?
Goodluck Jonathan was not chosen as much as he was imposed. MENDs calculations are very deep, that's why they've been able to hold govt by the jugular. This info isn't new; it is everywhere, oyibo people have analysed it to this last full stop (but we 9ja's no like to read), the only thing nobody knows is who is MENDs boss because the top hierachy is secret. you can read up on MEND on websites that deal with global political and military strategy or by googling "open source warfare".

PS. Tompolo is the only non-graduate among those of his rank.

No emotions here simple reasoning

Lagos state/Nigeria has nothing to lose

so what is the cycle that Nigeria will go throught again?
For example, state liaison offices used to be along bar beach? There is a lot to lose.
