This is a serious question for all thinking Blacks. It needs to stop, period! There is currently an advert running on sky about Ross Kemp going to Nigeria, "the dark heart of piracy".
[li]Last year, the BBC news website had the apartheid flag on its Africa front page. It was up there for a couple of weeks despite complaints being made. This same BBC would be up in arms if the swastika was on a rival’s front page. [/li] [li]We have since left the period that started with slavery and ended with colonialism and apartheid, why do we still have these sorts of phrases and actions emanating from agencies like Sky and the BBC? [/li][li]On the Discovery channel, there are several openly racist programmes, the worst being one called "Congo". In this programme, which was mainly about gorilla’s; the use of phrases like "deepest, darkest Africa" are so frequent that you wonder how it could have made it through censors.[/li]
Why do we allow these things go on? The time has sincerely passed when we could be referred to as monkeys or subhuman. This is whether those derogatory references are direct or implied. What is the best course of action to take? Is class action the way forward or do we set up counter websites? Please comment. |
@vodka That anthem belongs to FGC Warri. FGC Warri is one of the first generation unity schools, so you guys plagiarised ![]() |
"but the parent of the lady beged him", My dear, you are enchroaching on family ground, beware! Her mama ke! As they say; "Trespassers will be prosecuted". Be patient, mark it as experience. Someone will come along someday. |
@Kobojunkie Are you a pastor or imam? I'm asking because religion tends to blind quite a minority of people (fanatics and lunatics) so that their argument's can only be perceived as bankrupt and stupid, Maybe even irrational and wacky. This is the first line from the thread topic: "The decision of the Lagos state government to tax sales from books, tapes, compact disc and other materials sold by churches in the state is leading to a crisis, as the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) rejected the idea and may head to court to challenge the decision." - moneygurl. The Red Cross is a charity. So to remove any religious blinkers, consider the list below:
[li]If a member of staff in the Red Cross writes a book, sells it and makes a profit, should the writer be tax exempt because they are a Red Cross employee? [/li] [li]If a member of staff in the Red Cross creates a DVD and sells it, should they pocket all the cash because they are in the Red Cross?[/li] [li]If DVD and book sales go to the pastor / imam (and fund their private jets) should the church / mosque not pay a tax since it is in effect funding the leaders lavish lifestyles[/li]
The list goes on. But if you still don't get the point, I am wasting my time. As to calling someone's dad a criminal; that is really low down dirty, utterly disrespectful and un-African. You have been extremly forceful in your references to "the law" to back up your arid argument's; yet you refer to someone who has not been convicted of any crime as "criminal". Sorry Sir or ma (or hermaphrodite), you come across as both very rude and a bully. |
If you're small, have thin arms and maybe have a wispy face with a bald head; you might find that she really didn't go to do her hair, but was in church seriously engaged in fervant prayer. I mean, have you seen this? http://www.boxing-memorabilia.com/henry-cooper-2.htm Until you describe yourself, I have assume she's a damn good and loving woman ![]() |
I could say, just choose me ![]() More seriously; what I can't understand is the swing from a guy with Masters to one without WAEC! What are you thinking girl? Christ! Whats common between your choices, looks, money or what (it does not seem to be education or intelligence)? You sound educated, so lets assume the Masters holder was a straight dope, But how do you explain the "non-WAEC" guy.Look for something concrete in a guy and the good ones will come around. |
