I found out i had cyst also when i had my first scan at 8 weeks. I didnt know before i got pregnant. Some weeks later i went back and they found out the cyst was growing. The sonographer encouraged me not to worry and that i should take plenty fruits and water. I prayed like no mans business too. I have had like 6 scans after that nobody said anything about cyst again o and i am now 30weeks pregnant.

I never appreciated my mum much until i got pregnant...am yet to have my baby but damn everyday i look at her like wow.....this is a really strong woman!

Sorry to derail alittle. I want to go to register for nysc and go with novemeber batch. But i need to know if a pregnant woman would be allowed to efister and if i would have to stay in camp. i dont want to waste my money

You can register. I did my nysc orientation in Edo before redeploying to Lagos. Then, the pregnant women only came to register and after that, they left and came back on d last day to pick up their posting letters. I dont know about other states.

I actually have a bump o, but na very small bump.
Me sef am tired!

Am a youth corper, so whenever we line up for registration all other preggy mamas will be attended to first. But we wen no get bump na to stand for queue o. Belly button is not pointing out sef.

I went for scan and the lab attendant kept shouting are you really pressed? Pressed bawo?

Sometimes i feel maybe the baby is not growing or sth. So i keep running to check everytime but the doc will always reassure me that everything is fine.

I wonder when the bump will actually show well.
I need that bump, i want to enjoy all the public pamparing like other preggies.

Good morning all beautiful mamas in the house and happy weekend.
I know I haven't been active in the thread but I must say that I have learnt quite a lot by coming here and I have grown quite addicted to the chats and banters amongst mamas. It calms my mind .
I envy the preggy mamas here with the way they carry their bumps with so much fun and excitement .
I really wish to do that too but fear is silently killing me cos of past experience of loosing twin babies at birth.
Please my fellow mamas, I apologies if my post puts anybody off but kindly remember me in your prayers that afflictions shall not arise again in my life and at the end of this journey God gives me beauty for past ashes.
I feel comfortable sharing this with fellow mamas here and I hope i am more welcome once again.

I was wheeled to the Labour ward and before I could lay my back on the delivery bed, I pushed my Cute Princess out.The midwives were so surprised and kept on checking for tears but the only one who deserves my Hallelujah proved himself otherwise. She was placed on my chest and I prayed for her while she was busy screaming her lungs out.
I return all Glory to God cos one useless false prophet who was so high on cheap weed said his village people delivery will be tough but my own JEHOVAH TSIKHENU said when he talks, any other person that says anything after him is a talkative!

Pls any mama staying in Ikeja axis shd kindly direct me to a good hospital i can use for antenatal. I dont just want to register in any hospital that i know nothing about. Otherwise i wld av used my parents hospital which is far from where i now live.

So if u av any reviews about hospitals around Ikeja, adeniyi jones, oba akran, allen avenue or anywhere around, pls let me know about the good ones esp that u av used urself.

Many scan centers don't do proper anomaly scan. A proper anomaly scan should be done by a fetal medicine expert.

You can check at Funbell Diagnostics. it's at 142b, Next level plaza, shobo bus stop, Egbeda. The building is also the building that Startimes is using & it's painted in startimes colour.. You can always walk in & ask for an anomaly scan. I don't know how much it is in this their Lagos office o but i know it's #10,000 in their Ibadan office.

Beautiful mamas in the house, pls i want to have an anomaly scan. Am a first time mum n as soon as i got to 20weeks i went for a scan....but it turned out to be the usual scan. Nothing different.

Do i request for anomaly scan? Or how?
Is there a special lab for that.

Sorry mama. Take chilled water in sips or suck on ice cubes! Lemon or mint leave can also be put in the water.

Try and eat your food in small small quantities and avoid getting up quickly slowly is best.

Take malt and milk or milo and milk to (cold is best) stay fill and strong.

Lucozade or glucose d is good too.

Sorry once more you will be free soon just hang in there.


Don't hesitate to see your doctor should it persist.

Yes I used to take thick milo then too. MS showed me serious pepper. Cudnt eat anything in my first trimester. So I resorted to taking milk and milo morning and night o. (Dunno if it's ok) Because I had no choice. It was the only thing that gave me strength.

Now in my second trimester I don't even feel anything....and somehow I have almost forgotten how I felt earlier. I wonder if I 'll continue to feel this way till the end.

If u r a first time mom and blessed wth a flat tommy before pregnancy, ur bump may start to show five or six months there abt. For my first baby, my bump showed wen I clicked 6 months and it was so beautiful that wen I got to the ward to give birth, some nurses were just admiring me as I was cat walking wth my sexy bump. Buh after my first, within 4 months belle don shoot out cos there's Enof head and leg room space.

Wow! Really. Am a FTM and I can't wait to see the surprise on the faces of people when after few months of bumping I birth my lo. .

Sweet mamas in the house...pls when does pregnancy bump start to show? Am 4months plus yet am as normal as always. When is it likely I start looking pregnant? Sorry for the bother am jus curious.

When i met my man i didnt feel any love for him. Not even the "tiniest feeling". Infact i was always looking for a way to stop talking to him. His prescence alone annoyed me. Oh he didnt get anything right! His speech was not right, his dressing and even the way he ate annoyed me. .

But he was my kind of man. He was tall, dark, handsome and well educated jus d way i wanted, yet i cudnt bring myself to love him.

One day i decided to jus pretend and give him a chance.....that was when i knew he was God sent. My eyes were open and i could see how really blessed i was to have a man like him.

Several months after i dunno how it happened but trust me, now i am crazily in love with him (though he is not aware ). Every day i give thanks to God for blessing me with such a man.

Its not always easy to marry someone you dont love at first thinking the love will grow with time. It doesnt mean the relationship will not last. Neither does loving someone at first sight guarantee a fulfiling relationship.

But with my experience, growing in love is better and long lasting.

Let me start calling the problems one by one.
I am 10w4d and I have never had ms. I went for scan twice to be sure my baby was fine.
Because of this, i'm always wondering if my baby is fine. Unless I feel some cramp and then I say 'okay, baby de inside'. Its not funny again! Hubby has banned scans till the hospital says so! My ANC is in august. How do I stop worrying? Please don't laugh, it's serious.

No2: I have been purging since morning! Passing out water! I have just been told I can't take flagyl. What do I take?

Lol. Me i had Ms o but it stopped around week 9 going to 10. At 10 weeks my dear, i tot i had lost the baby. Me that cudnt smell food before was now eating orisirisi. I felt the same way i did before pregnancy. That was wen i started to fear and worry. I use to do scan anyhow o. Lol. i jus want to hear " ok baby is doing fine....bla bla" before i feel alryt. After i ll still go back again o. And check. Of course i never told him until after the scan.

I guess it all the perks of being a first time mum.

Kikikikiki (laughing in Swahili). U jst dey start and u r complaining of stretch marks? Don't worry cos bobbies sef go soon join sag (joys of motherhood). Buh on a serious note, there's absolutely nothing u can do abt it cos ur belly is expanding I.e giving enough space and leg room for your baby. If it's the itching ones, get Robb and apply olive oil so that it won't expand and PLSSSSSS, STAY OFF TONING OR BLEACHING CREAMS OOOO cos they won't hide the marks. Rather, it'll make the marks soo visible and disgusting.
