The recent news about the outcome of the Tripartite Committee meeting over the minimum wage signaling an end to the strike is another glaring example that NLC has not learnt its lessons about this APC deceitful government…. How many times will they go on strike only to end it on flimsy grounds with nothing concrete achieved…. Looking at the resolutions reached you can clearly see that nothing of substance was achieved except the president’s commitment to a minimum wage above N60,000…. It will be another betrayal by NLC, TUC leaders if they call off the strike now…. The economic crisis caused by this incompetent government and the high cost of food and services afflicting Nigerian workers will not go away by wishful talks and watery resolutions…. The strike must continue to send a strong message to these callous leaders and ensure that genuine progress is made in alleviating the pain of Nigerian workers and all Nigerians. NLC should call off the strike only when the government commits to a specific new minimum wage amount…. Also part of NLC’s demand should be a drastic review and reduction of the huge allowances been paid to the legislooters and Tinubu’s executive team….. NLC should know that Nigerians are watching and any attempt to hoodwink and kill the national struggle for a fair minimum wage maybe the final nail that will forever dent the image of NLC, TUC and it’s affiliates….. destroying it’s reputation and relevance in our national polity forever….

Tinubu’s stubborn, irresponsible and insensitive government should not be treated with kids gloves…. Even if this strike ends today…. It is only a matter of time, Nigerians will take action and a massive protest/revolution will consume this country….. this economic crisis is now unbearable for many Nigerians….

“The Global Prolife Alliance (GPA) Council has identified American billionaire, Bill Gates as a major foreign sponsor of the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria’s North East region.

Speaking with journalists in Owerri, the chairman of the GPA, Dr. Philip Njemanze disclosed that Gates and Monsanto were sponsoring the insurgency in the region using their biotechnology companies.

According to him, the major aim of the insurgency was to capture the food security of Nigeria and control Africa’s largest nation by population and economy, adding that this could only be possible by fighting to displace the indigenous farmers in the country and replace them with Genetically Modified Organisms, GMOs corporate farms in the North East food basket region of Nigeria.

Njemanze, revealed that the name Boko Haram was only used as a cover-up in the terrorism attacks, saying that the actual perpetrators were hired assassins and mercenaries by the Blackwater (also called Xe-Service, and now Academi) private army owned by Gates and Mosanto.

He disclosed that Blackwater which was purchased in 2009, “began the recruitment of former child soldiers from Liberia and Sierra-Leone of what remained of Charles Taylor’s army in Liberia” and trained them in Ougadougou in Burkina Faso despite the ban of the company by President Johnson-Sirleaf of Liberia.
The GPA chief added that the Liberians and Sierra-Leoneans were brought to Nigeria as ECOMOG boys to fight as Boko Haram.

He stated that the assignment of the insurgents was to displace the farmers in the North East and create fall in the agricultural production of the country as well as to compel the federal government to adopt large farms that grow Bill Gates / Monsanto GMOs crops to feed the nation.

With this strategy, he said that such staple food as rice, cassava, maize, sorghum, millet would be replaced by Gates/Monsanto variants, thereby effectively surrendering the food security for the over 170 million Nigerians to them.

“The volume production of these GMOs crops will come at lower prices than that of the organic food grown elsewhere in Nigeria and they will price out of the market the conventional organic foods, leaving the Bill Gates/Monsanto crops the dominant crops for food in Nigeria”.

Njemanze also raised an alarm about the high technology approaches used by Gates in executing the terrorism plan.

According to him, Gates’ recent interview in Daily Trust where he said he was quoted to have said “Bill Gates Foundation was carrying out satellite Remote Sensing of the North East area to study migration patterns of people” clearly supported the assertion of Global Prolife Alliance, adding that what that statement meant was that the Satellite images against the Nigerian law were being used as espionage in the state of emergency to identify military installations and how to evade and attack them.

He also attacked the electronic wallets (cell phones) given to farmers by Bill Gates through the federal ministry of agriculture to provide the farmers with agro-credits for fertilizer and GMO crops, describing it as wallets of death.

According to him, the offer was made and accepted in total disregard of the evidence presented by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that GMOs does not increase crop yields, but rather may lead to decrease in overall crop production, damage to fertile grounds and dangerous health risks were still being uncovered including cancers and other debilitating diseases.

With the cell phones which have Global Positioning System (GPS) device, he continued, the position of every farmer would be known to the Boko Haram insurgents, who he said use satellite images to know the location of the Joint Task Force (JTF) and then using the cell phones to track down the farmers.

The group called on the federal government of Nigeria to investigate Bill Gates activities in Nigeria and not to sweep the allegations under the carpets because according to Njemanze, the group had very strong evidence to support its claims.”

It is unfortunate that Tinubu and his government continues to borrow (No plans to repay) and waste on frivolous projects with no economic impact on Nigeria….. Spending billions on bogus religious pilgrimage, executing highly inflated elephant phantom projects in the name of building new roads, flyovers, railways and bridges when the purchasing power of Nigerians is low, manufacturing companies are shutting down and currency exchange rate is falling…. It is only foolish people that will continue to support the government to continue on this path…. The importance of investing in Nigeria’s electricity power sector and human capital development can not be overemphasized…. If Nigerians don’t hold this government accountable, the looming economic disaster maybe the final nail that will destroy this country....

Yesterday Tinubu officially flagged off the 700Km Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project, estimated to cost about N15 trillion! This project is similar to what Buhari deed in the name of constructing railway gulping trillions of naira with no direct impact on the economy…. This over inflated N15 trillion project which we know will be financed mainly through foreign loans and local borrowing should’ve been suspended or scrapped by National Assembly as it was rushed and glaringly a deliberate cash grab by Tinubu and his political cronies…. Nigeria will be better off if such huge amount (N15 trillion) was invested in boosting its electricity sector or even building a new national oil refinery…. Let’s assume Tinubu is honest about building the costal highway and the government completes the project, what about maintenance cost? Can the government generate enough revenue from tolling to maintain the road? How much will this road add to Nigeria’s GDP? How will this project boost ease of doing business across Nigeria or reduce unemployment when compared to boosting electricity power supply or refining petroleum products like fuel and diesel locally…. If Tinubu succeeds in raising and looting the funds for this project, a N15 trillion looting spree may be the final nail that will destroy Nigeria’s economy totally as over 90% of the country’s revenue is been used to service existing loans already….. when all is said and done it is Nigerians that will bear the consequences….

Nigeria’s solution to it’s economic crisis can’t be achieved by implementing the wishes of foreign organizations like IMF

In the past few weeks Nigerians have been inundating with calls from IMF (International Monetary Fund) to devalue naira and remove all subsidies including electricity subsidy…. Those foreigners running IMF enjoy stable economy and several government subsidies in their respective countries but are bent on destroying Nigeria’s economy by pressurizing the government to remove all subsidies and implement draconian policies that will further destabilize Nigeria’s economy. They grant the corrupt Nigerian government greek loans that they know will be looted so as to gain influential economic power over Nigeria’s economy. It’s indeed unfortunate that several IMF’s economic advice to the government has played a major role to the terrible state of Nigeria’s economy and the government appears helpless as it implements IMF wishes without looking inwards for local solutions on how to boost Nigeria’s manufacturing and local productive sectors. It is glaring that the insatiable taste of Tinubu for foreign loans that will be looted by the malicious APC government may eventually destroy this country if nothing is done by Nigerians to hold this government accountable. Foreign organizations like IMF don’t mean well for Nigeria as it is obviously clear that they want to destroy Nigeria’s economy. It is time for Nigeria to cut ties with IMF and look inwards to solve it’s economic crisis. As a nation, Nigerians must rise above tribal and religious sentiments for genuine progress to be achieved. Some eminent northern leaders Friday cautioned against allowing the United States and the French governments to relocate their military bases from the Sahel to Nigeria.

In an open letter to President Bola Tinubu and the leadership of the National Assembly, the leaders said the federal government should not succumb to such pressure.

Those who signed the letter include Professor Abubakar Siddique Mohammed of the Centre for Democratic Development, Research and Training (CEDDERT), Zaria; Professor Kabiru Sulaiman Chafe, a former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, representing the Arewa Research and Development Project (ARDP), Kaduna; Professor Attahiru Muhammadu Jega, who is a former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC); Professor Jibrin Ibrahim from the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), Abuja; Auwal Musa (Rafsanjani) of the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CCISLAC) Abuja; and Y. Z. Ya’u from the Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD), Kano.

According to the letter, the American and French governments have allegedly been aggressively lobbying Nigeria, along with other Gulf of Guinea countries, to sign new defence pacts that would allow them to redeploy their troops, expelled from Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.

The signatories expressed concern that Nigeria, being the most strategically located among the Gulf of Guinea countries, may succumb to this pressure, thereby jeopardising its defence and internal security.

“The recent expulsion of French and American troops from Niger due to their perceived ineffective presence raises questions about the efficacy of hosting foreign military bases”, the citizens said in the open letter.

They also argued that the primary goal of these bases, ostensibly to combat terrorism in the Sahel, has not been achieved, as terrorism has only escalated since those camps were established.

“It is important to clearly state that there are only dangers and no gains from such military operations.

“The American operations in Niger Republic, for example, were ostensibly to pre-empt and uproot terrorists from the Sahel region. The result has so far been quite unimpressive, if not a complete failure.

“It is apparent that the presence of American troops and other intelligence personnel in Niger Republic is not serving any useful purpose. This is for the simple reason that terrorism, far from abating, has risen dramatically since the US began its operations in the region,” they said.

They also cautioned against compromising Nigeria’s sovereignty and independence for short-term strategic alliances that may have dire long-term consequences. They added that hosting foreign troops often leads to increased prices and living costs in local areas, disproportionately affecting the lower-income population.

“Environmentally, the construction and operation of military bases can lead to significant degradation of the local environment. This includes deforestation, soil erosion, water contamination, and loss of biodiversity, which are detrimental to agricultural communities and indigenous populations. The long-term environmental damage could further hinder economic opportunities and sustainable development,” they said.

The presidency and the National Assembly have yet to make any public comments on the open letter.
