A Brandable Tip.... How to determine the current market trend. This is not the only way there are others out there (You can research to find out)... But this is sure a simple one. Hope it helps someone. Happy New Week Everyone....!! Peace ![]()

paulsir:Wawuu.... That'll be a nice read. I'm Anticipating ![]() |
zanebaddo:Lol, i replied you bro. Even your first mail 3 days ago i replied that. Check your spam folder maybe. I guess you're agb************@gmail.com
|
zanebaddo:Noted check your mail. |
2sexycom:You might be right bro, we all have our various views and thoughts towards how life should work and what not. However my view is simple and i stand by it. I do not see anything bad in someone making a sale and giving the glory to God. I don't support over doing it but it can't be NULLIFIED either . Peace ![]() |
Crazeworld:Bro the God factor is Very important factor in Domaining let that sink. There were times i did so much work and didn't get the desired result because somehow i was relying on my knowledge and strength and kinda disconnected from God. But it was surprising to Me that immediately i came back believing and reposed confidence in God sales happened even some unexpected sales. Some might not believe this but it's true. God factor is Key it is called God's Grace. And mind you when people make a sale and mention God's grace, you the reader might not understand the context through which they're speaking from hence they know their EXPERIENCE better than anyone. it might sound all too simple, easy and common to you when you reading it, but to them they're talking from conviction. Some might believe in other things tho, But i rely on God to help me because it is not always about strength, work, and how much i know. Peace ![]() |
Channel5:I'm already doing that here bro. Brandable Niche is very spontaneous (Trends changing every day) not like Geo that is constant. It's hard to predict what will sell and what won't. So what you need is the right Knowledge and that is what I've always shared here. Talking about mentoring, I'm already providing guidance and help to some persons on and off this thread. Peace ![]() |
zanebaddo:OK Noted. |
boladale123:Read this thread bro. It is very resourceful. All you need to succeed in Domain business is in this thread, I've always contributed my quarter from my experience. If you can be determined to start reading soonest then you're not far from success. Many successful guys started here(I mean from this thread). For personal mentoring unfortunately i don't do that, but you can Contact Mr iykepromotions the Op of this thread, i trust he can help on that. Goodluck |
division2020:Dm me through NL. No mobile contact for now. |
Farouksenior:Lol, ah swear.... Least i would have priced the name is $750 and at $1495 Max. Buh value lies in the eye's of the seller. |
2sexycom:Wow nice catch there. Goodluck. ![]() |
2sexycom:Wow, "Traineen" sounds like Trainee with an "n" which makes it a nice brandable term (Which can be used by a Training Agency, Talent scout network, A training tool app or even a Job recruitment program.). It also sounds like the real word "Training" which can be used for a lot of this as a brandable term too. (Goodluck on that one boss) About "Homesprint" it happens all the time, you got to move on going forward and hopefully to stumble on a better name sef as there are alot of untapped opportunities in this industry. Peace ![]() |
2sexycom:Boss i was surprised how i slept off that said night between i was stressed up that day. Between leafvue dot com just sold at squadhelp (That's for someone who was asking if cannavue can be worth anything.) In Domaining tho the worth of a name is in the eyes of the seller and buyer vice-versa. Cannavue dot com currently listed at epik for $4999 at the moment. Peace ![]() |
. |
iCauseTrouble:Reduce price and sell asap. Then reinvest. Goodluck |
luvluvluv:Lol, no tools bro just Google and expireddomains(With some brandable knowledge gathered over time) . A short popular keyword + vue is good for branding. But the suffix (vue) doesn't always rhyme well with most words thus in rare occasions it does. However on the case of canna it combined well and with the dot org already developed is an advantage. Hence it's a good brandable term. Between you don't need any tool to know a domain's worth all you need is the right knowledge. That's why research and more research is paramount. Peace ![]() |
luvluvluv:Lol, sorry bro. Nice try next time you'll get there. My miss of the day yesterday was Cannavue dot com Still scratching my head how i missed on that after doing some research on expireddomains (Name was available) then i added to Registrar cart and was about to reg then suddenly slept off... Only to wake up and name is gone. ![]() Worst of Cannavue dot Org already a developed consultant cannabis site Domaining can be rough play at times i swear. But You got to buckle up and move on. Better opportunities awaits ahead ![]() |
haykay2005:Thanks Boss. Much appreciated. ![]() |
Dreydoe:I have sold names without the Afternic fast Transfer network.... What i just outlined is the advantages of the fast transfer network but it is not a must to use it before your name sales. Afternic takes 60 days for your new registered domain to be on the fast transfer network but basically most names listed there sales before 60 days. So it's a two way thing. It's just for more exposure nothing more |
Dreydoe:. I don't know of any. I just list my names there and trust God that they sale. Between afternic don't need views to sale your name. Once your name is in their fast transfer network it'll be visible to over 14million audience across different Registrar's and networks. That in it self is an advantage. Not necessarily when someone visit your name via afternic marketplace or landing page but through other venues. Like if you list your name there and search it through namesilo or name dot com or even through who dot is for example you'll see the name displaying the price tag you listed it with at afternic. That's networking and that's where most of the sales comes from at afternic. Hope that helps. ![]() Peace ![]() |
biuti:Congratulations dear. |
johnoj24:Okay price. Goodluck with that |
Helpful Stat... Although this might vary for different people. Stat shared by Keith DeBoer on BB slack channel.

crudedude:Lol i struggle to set the right prices at times bro. But i review from time to time and when i see a hype in trends and i have related names, i simply go and do a slight price adjustment in other not to leave too much money on the table. On managing portfolio i simply use an android app called "Note Everything". Copy and paste basic informations. And save them as txt files as backup just in case. Although excel is equally good but for management but since i use my phone most of the times for simple task I'm cool with the aforementioned app. Peace ![]() |
iCauseTrouble:Currently with growing knowledge I have names i price between $1995-$5995(Please if your names ain't quality don't try such pricing because it won't sell that easy unless on quality names) I equally have name in the following categories $1295 - $995 $795- $750 $305 - $495 (sweet spot) $295 - $205 195 - 105 (sweet spot) $75 - $99 (Sweetest spot) General in Domaining names tends to sale faster when they are priced low. But each time you have to follow your instincts on what price you feel is best for your name. But i sometimes i say don't hold unto your names so tightly because Domaining is a business and must be treated as one. For example if i have a name i value at $750 and i Recieves an offer of $250 for the name instead of trying to milk buyer to squeeze more for the name and sometimes risk losing the sale I'll simply accept offer and move one. (The logic there is with that amount on offer you can get at least 10 names more better than that name and still have some balance to spare. So instead of holding onto a name for a long time why not flip it and improve on your portfolio i guess that's why it's called domain flipping. You don't hold onto a name for long that's time wasting. Hence my simple strategy is sale quickly and move on to the next idea. Peace ![]() |
ikhalyfah:Alright thanks for your kind words. First off aside from registering brandable names. Selling them is also hard. Not easy truly 1. Average hold time is 6 months 2. % of outbound is maybe 10%, 90% inbound sales. 3. 100%. All are handregged as i don't buy names from auction houses, closeouts or dropcatch. Although I'll be looking to address that the coming year as most times names picked up at closeout, dropcatch or auction houses is way better. But i still do pretty well picking names myself from expireddomains List its exhausting but rewarding. 4. I sale at namepros anytime i need to liquidate my portfolio. No method needed just head to domain request thread and see what name investors are looking for and pm to offer names at reseller prices. Sometimes this is very helpful though the funds are sometimes minimal. Peace ![]() |
horlamilekan23:You don't need to verify names at afternic just create an account and list them. Unless you want to subscribe to their after transfer program then you list and wait for 60 days they'll send message to your registrar and you approve from there. Please modify your last quote and reduce the content. To make it a short read. Peace ![]() |
Hence the journey began continuation..... Hence with a portfolio of 300 names the journey commenced in 2019. January : 2019 began with 7 sales in January from Afternic Sold names like Hempita dot com $299 Herbalbaba dot com $199 BuildLuxe dot com $150 Gildchain dot com $199 Robotionary dot com $150 Fiatluxe Dot com $195 Nutricoins dot com $399 (maybe because of the crypto craze) Netted around $1800 from sales in this month from afternic and few other sales from namepros auction sales. January Verdict : January was by far my best month so far in terms of turn over but not profit. Some of the sales maybe inspired by start ups starting the year with fresh ideas or acquiring a name for there upcoming businesses. February : Had 3 sales in February 2 at afternic one at Dan HempCircus dot com $250 Hollandlabs dot com $200 Oscarautosales dot com $125 (@DAN) February Verdict : I noticed a continuous interest and demand in CBD/Hemp names due to the growing popularity of the cannabis industry but unfortunately i had few names in that space hence my interest increased as I monitored the space. Net proceed for February : $575 March Had 4 sales in March at afternic and 2 major sales at namepros through selling 2 BB published names to brandable investors SwiftRestore dot com $750 Mediaviser dot com $350 Duratoken dot com $250 (BB published name sold at namepros) Duracurrency dot com $100 (BB published name sold at namepros) March Verdict : Pretty a solid month considering a slight rise in price of sales. Started building a squadhelp portfolio in this month. Net proceed for March : $1450 April Lol April was a quite month no sales at major marketplaces. Accept a few namepros sales as i already built a strong network of domain investor friends there. So i sold a bulk portfolio of 10 BP(Brandpa) accepted name for $250 mind you this was when Brandpa names was in demand not anymore and another bulk of 10 Brandbucket accepted names for $200 April Verdict : Really a slow month but i still managed to make a turn over to steady the ship. And liquidated roughly 25 names at namepros for $500 in total. Net proceed for April : $500 May : May was blank inside and out as i reduced my activity in Domaining to focus on other issues of life majorly on a program i was working on. Though i manage to have one sale at Dan for a geo name i almost forgot exist in my portfolio. Net proceed for May : $150 June : I returned back to business in June. Had a few unlucky offers $1500 and another $750 where buyer disappeared after i agreed to their offer. Well i move on. Had 2 sales in June at afternic Digitlytic dot com $ 350 Suitefy dot com $799 Verdict for June Well a few disappointments but it was all good the sales made up for the loss. Net proceed for June : $1150 July 3 sales in July. July hit me with 2 major sales in brandable marketplaces and a sale at afternic Kanibi dot com $1700 (Brandpa) SavvyCBD dot com $1799 (Squadhelp) Advviser dot com $300 (Afternic) July Verdict July became the strongest month for me in net profit as i also sold names at namepros too, to domain name investors. Net proceed for July $4200 August August was fairly good month too and strong month from afternic at i sold 4 names there and a further 2 names sold at Dan. Exolytics dot com $350 CbdsupplyUSA dot com $305 HealthViser dot com $795 CBDpura dot com $400 Remedycleaning dot com $50 Gracefinancialservices dot com $350 August Verdict : In one word "Strong August". Net proceed for August $2250 September September was pretty good as August with one major brandable marketplace sale at squadhelp and 2 afternic sales Apexster dot com $1799 (Squadhelp) RipeCoin dot com $350 (Afternic) NeuroArmor dot com $300 September verdict : September was nice as August Net proceed for August : $2450 October : October was fairly quite at afternic though i managed to have a sale there. And a couple of low sales at epik as i was trying out there bargain marketplace NexaCBD dot com $1400 (Afternic) ChimpHero dot com $79 (Epik) CBDtraffic dot com $79 (Epik) FuturePays dot com $79 (Epik) October Verdict : Well October surprised me with surprise sales. But it was all good as a learnt a few things like tasting epik out and then pointing more names there although I've not heard from epik again after then. But a few offers and nothing more. Net proceed for October : $1670 November : 2 sales in November at afternic KeepSwift dot com $350 Blockvera dot com $495 November verdict : Fairly good month. Net proceed for November : $845 December Ongoing though 2 sales so far at afternic Drcanna dot Co $295 Kreditwallet dot com $150 (well i don't like typos or mispelt names and was surprised this name sold. With my wealth of knowledge in this niche i will pass on this name if i have the chance to register it today. Creditwallet is definitely a better name) December Verdict : slow month and not what i expected as resulting to my portfolio growth so far in the last quarter of the year. But generally all good as some couple of sales happened regardless. Net so far in December : $450 Conclusion : In conclusion i had in total of 37 major marketplace sale from a portfolio that started the year with 300 names that roughly more than 10% sales through rate and judging from a sales point of view the sale ratio is impressive considering all the sales are mostly from passive sales (inbound) and i had little work to do as to how to sale the names but much work to do as to how and what name to buy/register. Fact stat : Afternic was the strongest sales venue for me racking up close to 90% of my portfolio sales. Hence Total names sold : 37 name Total Net proceed : $17,335 Net profit after commission deduction : $13,000 Investment amount : Roughly $1000 (Due to netsol promo) Further Investment was made after sales. To close up for names dropped and renewals plus acquiring new names. Current portfolio size : 525 names Squadhelp portfolio currently : 105 names ( 5 of those belongs to squadhelp while the other 100 are owned by me) Brandpa portfolio size currently : 30 names Brandbucket portfolio currently : 7 names Although I'm looking to build a Brandbucket portfolio again but that will be pretty hard considering their length of review time. I currently have names there submitting for review for 4 weeks and counting. Brandpa has not lived up to the hype although i managed to renew a few names there to give them another year and see what happens. What i have learnt this year : Making better decisions while registering or buying names. Instead of registering shopavio dot com or shopically dot com for cheap I'd rather got for shopsy dot com and pay more. In Domaining the more Quailty your names the better. I learnt this the hard way and I'm now gradually making better judgment in what i add to my portfolio and what to evict. Renewal times gives you a better idea of whether you have good names or not. Don't ask me how it's better you experience it yourself and learn. I still sucks at pricing names and still have alot to learn in negotiating and closing a deal. Although I'm learning gradually. Namepros is still a great place to start as a newbie. Nairaland also a vital tool to hear and pick invaluable experience from fellow countrymen. Lastly with God all things are possible. I hope you learnt a thing or two from my experience. 2020 will be great for Everyone. Peace ![]() |
My Domaining Experience 2019 Well i started this year 2019 with lots of anticipation and expectations having a feeling that time was ripe for me to start earning like a boss after some rough experience, in depth researches and learning process, accumulating knowledge here and there and making some really crazy investments into building a portfolio. It there is one thing that i do really well in this business, that is reinvesting heavily into my portfolio each time i make a sale. This I see as a sacrifice as i treats domaining as my self owned business. Example of the aforementioned : Let's say i sold a name for $399 at Dan and after commissions deducted I'm left with a net proceed of $340 then after bitcoin conversations (339 x 355 = #120,245) This is a rough estimate an might not be constant due to changes and fluctuations in the exchange market. Let's see after the sale my net proceed is 120k i wouldn't mind reinvesting at least 70k back to purchasing/registrating new names and upgrading my portfolio. Hence i started 2019 with a portfolio at around 300 names (heavily helped by the networksolutions promo period) *My portfolio was Mostly hand regs picked from expireddomains (note because by now with 6 years of Domaining experience i now know what to reg to some extent) *Again my portfolio was Mostly made up of Brandable names. This is largely because i fancied the niche more than geo niche or any other niche in the industry and this is down to my creative side of making names and i see coming up with brand / made up names more as a hobby than a trade. It was something i enjoyed doing. And having admired the successes of people like Keith de boer, AbdulBasit and Doron at namepros. There talents and craft in the brandable niche together with the knowledge from written articles by them inspired me to focus fully on the brandable space rather than Other domain name categories/types. * Finally, starting 2019 i had accounts with Brandbucket and Brandpa as little was known about Squadhelp. With 25names at Brandbucket at that time and 40 at Brandpa. Most of my names were listed at Afternic and Dan pointed to Undeveloped now DAN. with little successes from Godaddy / Sedo and didn't bother much about listing there. Hence the Journey began.......Next post coming soon... Peace ![]() |

sef
Only to wake up and name is gone.
statement is a future tense with will (i.e I'll) in it. Meaning I'm working to put things together.
