budosky:Congratulations bro. Now that's a sale right there ![]() Wishing everyone even better sales ahead |
Sales Report DefiHomes //dot//com Sold Price : $2488 Reg Fee : $7.99 Received : $1990 Sold Venue : Afternic Sale Type : Inbound Hold Time : 11 months FarmLuxe //dot//com Sold Price : $1000 Reg Fee : $7.99 (Dynadot) + Renewal fees $25.5 Received : $750 after commissions deduction Sold Venue : Brandpa Hold Time : 3 years and 5 months On the sale of DefiHomes, i don't really know why i got the name, probably because of the Defi hype from early last year as I picked name from the drops, listed it on afternic for $1795 initially but changed the prices of a few of my afternic listings few months back to $2488 and name sold. Again I feel the defi hype is a factor to consider on the sale although i have better defi names with zero offer for a year now. On the sale of Farmluxe at brandpa, probably just have around 10 names listed at brandpa because of their poor results over there, use to have over 70 names listed there but their output and overall marketplace returns have been poor so removed alot of my names there last year and left just 10 names, coming into this year there were no results there still so decided to check on my listing a month ago to see how it's going and noticed on the offers dashboard that the name generated some interest and offer many months back which was turned down by brandpa and I was not even notified, Furious on finding this out I contacted support immediately and they explained that they received interest on the name but buyer did not meet my minimum offer on name which was above $1000 (I didn't even know I set that sef), I told them to recontact buyer with follow up and accept offer, which they did and i changed Bin to meet with buyers offering price. But afterwards nothing happened I kept on messaging them to get update but they said nothing yet from buyer. Weeks passed and surprisingly woke up one day to meet a sale on name after many days. Yet to recieve payment from Brandpa because of lack of payment options (no payoneer there at the moment nor transferwise as wise doesn't work well for Nigerians lately) so after back and forth with brandpa support we resolved to using bank wire transfer option but their customer service have been too slow and poor lately. Too much pain from Brandpa nowadays. (moral lesson, from this sale, if I didn't keep up the persistence probably this sale doesn't happen and I held name for 3 years happy it paid off cos I was getting tired of holding it lol.) and if you've not made a sale so far, your time will come. All thanks to God. Peace ![]() |
eaddyboy:Congrats bro. More sales |
Richsteemit:Not a month. The past couple of months. Typo corrected. Currently hold roughly close to a thousand names and renewals are taking a toil on one side .Peace |
My Sales report the Past months Payxon //dot//com Sold Price : $1795 Reg Fee : $6.99(Epik) + renewals = $22.97 Received : $1439 Sold Venue : Afternic Sale Type : Inbound Hold Time : 7 months Luxayo //dot//com Sold Price : $1750 Reg Fee : $7.99 (Dynadot) Received : $1250 after commissions deduction Sold Venue : Squadhelp Hold Time : 15 days (but took 45 days more to complete sale as name was under 60 days transfer lock) SquadDesk //dot//com Sold Price : $1799 Reg Fee : $7.99 (Dynadot) + $17 Renewal fees Received : $1250 after commissions deduction Sold Venue : Squadhelp Hold Time : 2 years and 5 months Squadhelp marketplace have been getting over saturated of late meaning high volume of names listed in the marketplace results to low sales through rate (STR). Meaning you have to have a decent portfolio of names there to break even but if your names are good and unique they'll sure sale. But the recent drop in sales at squadhelp can be attributed to high volume of names listed at the marketplace which I guess should be very close to 100k names if not already. But wishing everyone success and Goodluck. In Keith's famous quotes may all your sales be to end users. All glory to God. Peace ![]() |
Emusan:Welcome on board bro, first thing you need to know is that Domaining is not a get rich quick scheme, it requires hard work, dedication, lots of patience and a stroke of luck, although you can make a payday from it once you get going. But like I said it require alot of dedication and continous learning. To answer your questions : 1. What has really changed from how the OP put it?Nothing, Just the price of dollar lol. But on a more serious note, Trends are changing everyday so as a domainer you change with it. What was relevant 5 years ago are not so much relevant in today's ever evolving market for example there were times 3D domains, hosting, cloud, drone, and 3G domains were hot cake, but not so much nowadays so what happens is the value of these kind of names drops. In todays market, trends like finance tech(fintech), healthcare, medical cannabis, cleaning and sanitary niche(cos of covid) although it's fading gradually, digital art, online shopping and delivery services etc. are more relevant. So you have to keep up with the changing trends and read alot. If not you get left behind in the past pretty quickly. 2. Where to start from as domainerWell start from the beginning lolFirst you need to understand the market or the domain industry as a whole. Know what works and what does not. Pick a niche you feel you're most attracted to and start from there there are geo names, brandables, premium and keyword rich names, number domains etc so find out the one you understand the most, the one that make most sense to you and start from there. Don't be a jack of all trade master of none. Learn one niche and perfect it then along the line you can play around and mix them as you like cos by then your not so much bothered about your investment cost. You can read namepros dot com domain community to keep up with latest trends and this thread as well were a wealth of knowledge and experience from fellow domainers are shared daily for free. Also ensure you have capital and alot of patience too. 3. Is there any limitation being a domainer as Nigerians especially with different policies of this government?Well the limitations I see is the change of limit of the dollar spending limit by banks to just $100 Per month but aside from that I see no other limits cos Domaining is a legitimate business and you can withdraw your funds with PayPal from exchangers, payoneer to your direct bank account or selling to other exchange buyers, BTC if you opt for that option, direct bank wire transfer, there are alot of payment options depending on the platform you used in selling a name. Domaining is a game of patience, hardwork and grace. Some get on pretty fast others not so quickly that's where patients is needed. All the best. Peace ![]() |

Xsolutions:Hello bro, By standard listing I guess you're referring more about Squadhelp WhiteLabel Marketplace (WLM)" Listing to the former Basic Listing option. Because squadhelp do not offer 'basic listing' option no more (which I believe was an advantage cos names listed as Basic Listing back then where Searchable in the Premium Marketplace) but sometime last year they closed the 'basic listing' option and more like replaced it with WhiteLabel marketplace listing option. Although if you had basic listed names prior to this announcement your basic listed names still remains. But u cannot add more of Basic listed names at this point in time after the announcement you'll rather add them as WhiteLabel marketplace listing option (which is literally you having your own mini marketplace and relying solely on type-ins to you mini white label marketplace to make a sale) which is a bit difficult thing to do but worth the experiment though. But note, both basic listing and white label marketplace listing are still categorized as standard Listing by squadhelp although they no longer offer the former. Check screenshot to see announcement by squadhelp on the changes back in 2020 September To answer your question "Yes" basic listing was worth it because it gave your names chance to be searchable in the premium marketplace but the new white label marketplace option do not have this option and is sort of a draw back if you compare the two cos white label marketplace only will rely on type-ins generated by your mini marketplace to make a sale which means it needs more quality names in your portfolio to bring those outcomes. I sold one name Innotera//com as basic listing sale when they still had the option... But since then none of my basic listed names have sold. I also had a white label marketplace with names I feel where a bit quality but had sold none so far and was forced to remove most of the names from the there. Hence if you feel you have good names then you can try using the white label marketplace option although I believe its on a 50-50 basis. Hello people, I've been away for a while due to circumstances beyond my control. Hope everyone is doing great and most importantly making sales. ![]() Peace ![]()

My Recent Sales Report Neurovo //dot//com Sold Price : $1699 (12 months installment) Reg Fee : $6.99(Epik) + renewals = $22.97 Received : $108 per month after commissions deduction Sale Venue : SquadHelp Sale Type : Inbound Hold Time : 2 years Jobvivo //dot//com Sold Price : $1499 Reg Fee : $7.99 (Dynadot) Received : $1049 after commissions deduction Sale Venue : Squadhelp Hold Time : 1 year 8 months BloomOak //dot//com Sold Price : $1799 Reg Fee : $7.99 (Dynadot) Received : $1439 after commissions deduction Sale Venue : Afternic Hold Time : 6 months On the sale of Jobvivo, name was first listed as basic listing on Squadhelp in 2019, cos it was rejected for premium listing back then. Listed with a BIN of $1499 (Basic listing), received an offer of $1000 from a potential buyer via SH support, they asked for my minimum price, I quoted $1299 then... And after a few days of back and forth they didn't hear back from the buyer again so deal called off. I applied for name to be listed as premium, reason being it's attracting buyer interest and it was accepted. I listed it for $1799... Fast forward 8 months later, recieved a sales enquiry offer of $1299 from potential buyer, I suspected it might be same interest from the previous one, I set final price at $1499. Few days later buyer agreed and it sold. Currently renewed a couple of (@120 names in February, managing a thousand name portfolio is headache on its own, u've got to treat it as a business to break even). All thanks to God. Peace ![]() |
Sales Report Soldfy //dot//com Sold Price : $1799 (6 months installment) Reg Fee : $6.99 (Epik) + Renewal $7.99 Received : $202 per month after commissions deduction Sold Venue : SquadHelp Sale Type : Inbound Hold Time : 1 years / 10 months Etuzy //dot//com Sold Price : $305 Reg Fee : $7.99 (Dynadot) Received : $277 after commissions deduction Sold Venue : Dan Sale Type : Outbound Hold Time : 3 days On the Etuzy sale, sold name a bit cheaper, would have valued name for more if I was going to hold for longer time, regged name and submitted to brand marketplaces, it was accepted at squadhelp but then I already outbounded to the dot LTD version (company) which is already developed website, they made and offer of $300, while my bin at Dan was set at $750, I countered with $450, they only increased with $5, making total offer $305 lol , i just accepted to keep it moving. All thanks to God. Peace ![]() |
Mrsoftwork:No I don't. Brandable Names are a waiting game they don't have the luxury of potential end users like Geo names. Peace ![]() |
Huw:Thanks man. Same here |

I'll be doing a top pick of 10 names from some of my names that has sold over the years (3 years range) and are now a developed and fully working website. It gladens my heart when a name I sold in time past is properly developed and put to good use. Hence I'll be do this review of my top 10 picks from my sold names that sold over the period of 3 years - to date, as the year comes to an end. Coming soon. |
Very Impresive sale from Rick Schwartz

Dank1u:Normal bank account bro. Not domiciliary. Cos I use my normal Gtbank account and it works just fine. I've used UBA before then and it was alright as well. Peace ![]() |
Dreydoe:I haven't really tried bro, maybe someone can help to answer that. I've only used the direct bank withdrawal option and customer to customer sending option. |
Dreydoe:I think you should receive upto $5000 worth of fund with your payoneer account before their system can trust you to sent funds to other customers, I've encountered that before now. So for now your option might be direct bank withdrawal or with the payoneer Master card. Peace ![]() |
sourceberry:Thanks bro for the swift transaction. Hello peeps this guy is reliable had a deal with him today. His Payoneer rates are good, @460/$ and payment was swift. |
xammax:Yeah I heard that too, seemed to cool off ever since but I guess they're working behind the scenes to bring that to table. |
slimjosh43:For afternic listing, Squadhelp allows that but there's a policy to it. Alter allows that as well they also allow Dan listing cos they operate a non exclusive model but I don't think BB does, although BB works with Sedo and their listing appears there if you set up from your account. Peace ![]() |
ikhalyfah:Wawuu @Ikha I didn't know it has jumped to that number already. I can remember back in day when BB was approaching 50k names and everyone was shouting over saturation of marketplace and it took BB roughly 7years to get there. But SH got there pretty quickly in about a year and half I guess and with the pace they're moving they might hit 100k names before the half of 2021, that is not good news though. Peace ![]() |
slimjosh43:Bro my portfolio size is slightly above 1k, I think you guesstimated that 1743 figure wrongly by calculating all the numbers I mentioned above (please modify) but that's not the case here as most of the names listed at afternic are also in makeplaces like alter and squadhelp, which make up over 60% of my entire portfolio. Hence to answer your question about renewal, i plan to renew 20% — 25% of the best names from my entire portfolio which amounts to 200 - 250 names minimum By renewal fee calculation that is $8.50 * 250 = $2,125 (Annual renewal fee for 25% of the names) which might be 2/10th of my gross net profit . or on a worse case scenario if i decide to renew 50% of the names which is also likely, by renewal fee calculation will be $8.50 * 500 = $4,250 which is around a one third of my of my gross net profit . So that is my strategy and model and I feel everyone has theirs as well. In Domaining guess you don't just renew everything in your portfolio, you renew your best names that's why it's a business and should be treated as one for accountability checks and balancing the books. Well u might then ask what happens to the rest of the names then, I'll drop many, and liquiduate many others for profit and so on. I hope that helps. Peace ![]() |
