June experience so far

1st June started with a news from Squadhelp that the sale of NexaTravel dot com i sold 3 months ago on installment plan and reported here then is "Canceled" as buyer could no longer meet up with the Installment payment agreement after having paid 3 months already which i received $132 per month for the 3 months. By the way, Name sold for $1799 on 9 months installment plan well it was buyer who appealed for a 9 months installatment in the first place, squadhelp support communicated me then and i agreed.

Thus after receiving the news of sale cancelation i wasn't so happy with the situation, i liased with the Squadhelp support with suggestions to see if there's a way we can give buyer some time grace to make payment at his convenience but they say no way, deal is called off and that is in line with their buyer agreement policy and buyer backed out already as he could no longer keep to his obligation to pay.
I took the situation as it came and moved on too. But then I've been paid $132 each for the first 3 months already like i mentioned earlier and i kinda felt for the buyer. Nonetheless squadhelp Re-listed the name in their marketplace and returned domain back to my possession.


4th of June
Got sale from afternic

I recieve : $1359
Hold Time : 10 months

Didn't know why i registered this name sha but kinda was during the Facebook Libra currency Trend (the trend is pretty much Dead now as they look to Rebrand the currency initiative to "Nova", but back then i was searching through the expired drops and found libronic and thought to myself it sounds libra + electronic = (Libronic dot com) which might be a nice brand name, if this libra thing picks up. Afterwards listed name on Afternic and forgot about it, Then after 10 months it sold at afternic. Initially i was thinking name may have been purchased by an electronic product company as they were already using the term even before i owned the name and even have an existing Facebook page, but few days after sale, to my surprise it was a New British digital assets and cryptocurrency trading company that purchased name, Chai i would have easily sold this name for more but that's Domaining, we move on and i wish them all the best.


5th of June
Got Sale from Squadhelp

Name : Chipzy dot com
Sold : $1699 (6 months installment)
I receive : $192 per month
Hold time : 6 months


6th of June i decided to do a little Giveaway here.


After that first week of the month it's been pretty quite for me. But in Domaining, a time fit come when e go be like say baba God don pick all your calls and other times you just got to be patient and keep believing. In all I'm grateful to God. We keep moving.

Cart//Ark is just an Ok name but not Good enough in my opinion.
The pronunciation of the name creates no distinct separation and sounds like different things.
Might sound like Cat//ark to some people or Cat//arc or Cart//arc or even Cartack. That's why i said the name is just OK. When trying to purchase/reg a name, make sure it is outstanding and easier to understand with a good flow and passes the radio test without thinking twice.

Let's look at the words: while "Cart" is a good keyword, "Ark" is less popular and less used. And their combination sounds just casual without any real connotation or sight.
But if you already own the name no problem, just give it a try on any brandable marketplace, to see how they rates it, and also list on Afternic for a good range fee probably in the $450-$1995 range and see what happens. Truth is any name can sell at any point once the definite end user comes knocking (as they say regardless of what a name is appraised at, a real names beauty /value lies in the eye of end-user)
So i wish you Goodluck on this one. However next time try regging names that stands out and need no much explanation.

It was negativity and so much backlash that stopped the first original Domaining thread in this forum "Easiest way to make money online....." i don't even know if that thread still exists on nairaland archives or permanently deleted. But it was so much hate that halted that thread then before Oga iykepromotions(Respect) thought it wise to bring back the Domaining vibes to us via this thread. And please it will be bad to not put our difference aside and work together here no matter how little flaws we see in one another, between no one is perfect, not even me. And i don't see why we can't work together to achieve that one common goal which is to keep this thread alive and helpful to all. There's a saying that (In our unity lies our strength) if we start pointing fingers at one another and not cohabitating together in love and harmony believe me it'll do us no good or lead us nowhere at the end of the day.
Please i plead with all of us, let's put any past behind us, i don't care to know who was Right or Wrong here, all i see is that all of us is WRONG by not accommodating one another and probably constructively correcting each other if you feel you must have a say on any situation. Hello house, i been a silent spectacular for the past 1-2months. Initially when i saw this thread all i knew about was Geo domains, but i understood there was other type called brandable. I got interested in it more so I decided to focus on it. Now i think I'm ready to register some, but please i need a honest review on my progress, and names i decide to start with. Bro you made a mistake right here. If i tell you now that Name A or B is Good, don't be surprised, when you type it on Godaddy search it'll be gone in minutes.
Next time try to reg the name first and ask for opinions there after or pm some of those you what to get their opinion on your unregistered name.

My Question to you is, do you wish to register at least 2 names from the list soon. If so let me know.

Please, does BB accept unregd name like SH? Can you point me to the page?

BB do review unregistered names but they don't register it for you. You register them yourself if they approve it and you pay BB $1 for the review. Again the down side of BB's UNREGISTERED names review is simply that you have to wait for 45 days to get a name reviewed at Brandbucket and might risk losing such name in the long waiting review time. I've answered this question before. Again at the bolded i don't know what page you mean as you weren't clear enough in your description. If you meant my brandable guide page, you can simply ask the house in sure someone might know it as i don't have it off hand or just time it on Google as someone suggested in the past here. I guess you haven't read this thread very often some of your question have been very recently answered here.

Anyways hopefully you'll get a feedback soon.

Even with optimized search parameters on ED, you will still spend hours going through name, just that with the optimized settings you will eliminate bad names and streamline your result. There must be constant reading, exploring and tweaking.

The last $900 sale I posted was a result of the tweak I did.

FYI using keyword filter can be limiting but its a good place to start, you can always save that setting and also another one without keywords.

Someone posted Swifthomedelivery, Iwould never have seen such name because my parameter would have filtered it out. so have different saved searches with different parameters BUT you must be focused, not jumping from one strategy to another. Dont have too many saved patterns at a time because it can be overwhelming. Save the ones you know you can comfortably search through, after a while you tweak and make adjustment, then continue

On the question asked, i think i responded to as well in the next post where i mentioned i Handreg too probably 10% of the time but it have to be some tweak i feel is necessary or when a new trend is ongoing that needs relatively new names. I even mentioned that as well in the first post down the line where i clearly stated that when there's a new trend i try to blend in too but some people doesn't read all i post just highlight through the areas they like.

Again the reason why i don't encourage new Hand regging that much and prefer Dropped names instead is simply because dropped names have some sought of edge over new regs due to its past internet records and already existing online presence. I've seen cases where a name was sold because some related companies to the brand name came for it, probably they missed out on the name the first time, or even old owners reigniting interest or name is already popular term in the internet, someone searches about something finds name and feel it is ideal to use it for their brand. Or just some company using a longer term decided to rebrand. All these instances occurs the more if the name is dropped.

Where as in New Hand Regs, you must be extremely cautious and must know what you're doing. I've sold new regs too and ain't saying they're not good options cos they really are as well, but some people do new regs just to suit brandable marketplaces appeal (Now they must have to think the name outside the brandable market and see if it still sustains end user appeal and demand) that is why alot of people get frustrated and ain't selling any names because outside the brandable marketplace they submitted a tweaked name from, name is totally useless and has no real end user applicability and thus does not attract much end user demand and may have to rely on a miracle to sale. Lol
That's why most times I try to be honest in my explanations to tell people what works for me and at the same time make it clear that as a newbie for those coming through, you must not be in a hurry to start off but take it gradually to accumulate knowledge first then with such knowledge you can easily tell what is good or bad for you, A few people I know have understood this process and followed in line and are making simple and steady progress, while alot of people are still trying to bend corners and not follow the real making process. That's the difference here(The easiest path to success is a straight line, but too many people likes shortcuts and because shortcut didn't work for me if i teach anyone same, I'm sure and guaranteed it won't work for them either because it didn't work for me in the first place). Hence i try to be explicit and sincere in all my post and happy some persons are benefiting from it already, i can name names sef , but some others ain't ready yet, as brandable Domaining ain't for everyone (I said that in my very first guide here).

I hope some learns a thing or two from this my long post and @therealMcCain thanks again for the observations and insight as well and i encourage the work you put in here too.

I already dropped alot of the tips in my brandable guide that all points to that, but the issue is that most people tend to skip the basics and want to jump to short cuts, i equally dropped alot of keywords in same guide here all free of charge but i noticed alot of people ain't reading anything at all nor willing to research and do their homework, having the right knowledge is all you need to figure out what good names to search for, even in my recent post I explicitly explained that I try to keep names short as possible, meaning for Brandable Names search all you need to do is apply those basic keywords i and many other persons have dropped here in the expireddomains filter and simply reduce the maximum word to what you fill is short number/amount of words needed to search for which in my opinion is between 8-12 letters and again i explained in my research posts and even in the old posts that for 2 keywords i don't let them exceed 12 characters which again translate to Applying keywords of your choices (from all the brandable keywords dropped in this thread, again by me and so many others) in the Ed filter and not letting it exceed 12 characters as the max number of words needed in a particular search. That's all you need to do, there's no magic in it and no special Instagram filters needed to apply in it to guarantee a treasure island of good names, once you do this basics you still need to search and search and search for hours to find the names you feel are Ok, again brandable name is all about instinct and your feelings, what looks right for Mr A might be bang average or absolute crap in Mr B's opinion "Hence it is Subjective", no good names are in anywhere waiting for you to just press some buttons to unlock, it's all hardwork and Good knowledge and if you miss the good knowledge part, even if you're given aftermarket names at free of charge to choose from, you won't still figure out what is good fit because you Lack the knowledge. Again people are not ready to read in between the lines at all and ain't ready to do some research. Even after so much explanations and guides.

These samples you posted are they all ED or some handreg?
The logo was it free or you paid the standard fee?

Lol bro, I've said it countless amount of times here, that i don't engage in auctions or dropcatch and all of that. I only use expireddomains from start till date. Then on handreg i do that sometimes when i feel the need to or if i get some inspiration i need to check out on, but that's like 10% of the time.

About the logos, As far as i know in Squadhelp you don't pay for logo unless the name is basic plus listed (newly introduced policy) which requires a $5 logo fee, or you applied for logo redesign which takes weeks sometimes to get a feedback on such application apart from those. All premium name logo design is FREE and i stick to that.

That's the disadvantage of doing unregistered names submission. I don't encourage do that often.

Here are Some of my listed names on Squadhelp "this Week".

So guys can learn. I try to keep it short and simple(Less than 8 letters at the moment) except if it is a 2 keyword name (then maybe 12 letters max). All my names till date are from Expireddomains and I don't do auctions yet, cos I've not fully understood it (still learning).
Again don't rejoice yet when a brandable market accepts your name, that a name is accepted doesn't mean it'll sale, Some names accepted this days are low quality And mostly face tough competition with many similar names in same marketplace, try to make your names stand out and explore niches that are untapped and unsaturated with same varieties of similar crappy names . Try to do something creative and different. Hence read widely if you must succeed in this niche, don't be lazy , come out from your comfort zone, you can do it.


And please don't tell me to share my portfolio link cos i can't. Moreso all the names I register still follows the same patterns and ideology of my "Brandable domain guide" i shared "Here" some months back nothing has really has changed that much, unless if new trend names are in the market i try to blend in too, but aside from cannabis Industry and previous crypto market which seems dead at the moment, nothing new have really happened, although some considerable mentions are, the Covid 19 trend which is for a while and not long term. And maybe a little boom in the home delivery / courier service, food and beverage service industries, also a little attention was paid on the cleaning/ purifying and sanitary services in the past few months as a result of Covid, an maybe a little attention paid on the fashion and beauty industry too (I'm currently exploring and studying this niche) and also an attention maybe given to the tech and innovation industry too cos there will be multiple roll out of new innovation techs due to the recent pandemic.
I hope someone learns a thing or two from all that.
