sysengr:Against their rule |
sysengr:Yes. Squadhelp recently adopted the idea of listing their premium names in afternic. You can see that option in your SH dashboard. But then your afternic pricing is expected to be higher or equal to the squadhelp listed price. Peace ![]() |
CornOak:Yeah but i guess to submit unregistered names there needs SH points. |
emmydsife:Somewhere around page 1032 of this thread. |
pwetie:All picked at expireddomains dear. I hardly hand reg this days since i know same quality of names can be found at Expireddomains. But like I've always said you hand reg only when you know what you're doing. I do sometimes too. Ramon92:Alot bro. In fact participating in the contests can make one learn a thing or two about end user demands/wants. I've also been lucky to win a contest on two occasions. One was joint though and i normally use funds generated there to buy SH coins. ![]() Peace ![]() |
With over 500 names in my portfolio and a number of 150 renewals to cover in January / February this year's first month's started with what I'll call a slow first month's in Domain sales. At some point i began to question my strategy in the biz, with my last sale dating back to early December till mid January it was almost a whole month without a sale whatsoever. I began to think there's something i wasn't getting right. Well the hard truth there is this is Domaining it is an unpredictable industry (business) and you never can tell what will sale and when. That is why when some people say come an mentor me (One on One) in Domaining i laugh because the truth is you never can tell what will sale (Even the best names can remain idle for years without an inquiry while an average name sales quickly "strange things happen in this industry people" Hence my best advice to everyone that wants to learn is to Research and take actions by yourself (It is in the process of that action that you learn something new and move to another leve to become a man of your own) hence your decision Making and the guts needed to remain in the business is improved and by so doing you becomes wiser and smarter in your decision making and future actions in the business. That is an advice. To be successful in Domaining you need to never stop believing. Example of what i mean (A young man/woman "Domainer" has a portfolio of 12 names and waited for 3 months without any sales, saw a good name in the drops (market), neglecting the fact that he has 12 unsold names decides to Register the new name. 3 days later the new name sold and the following week a name from his old list sold also ( Now It is in that process that he learns something new. First he learns that in this business persistence is key, secondly he learns that this industry is dynamic (changing every day) and each day presents you with a new opportunity (Domaining is a pool of new opportunities, thirdly he learns patience. The ways of Domaining is the way of patience. Hence without the third factoryou can't succeed in the industry. (Because that is the most important attribute). To thrive in this biz and be here for Long you have to wear a thick skin of patience. 3 Lol shey I'm talking too much ( I'm still learning too) Well back to what i was saying earlier the month/year started slowly : i began to question my strategy in the business. On the 20th of January still no sales with a huge portfolio as that and a many names waiting to drop(Expire ). LolOn 27th January Blockaura.com($105) sold on Afternic, then Legittoken.com($105) sold 2 days later. 2 sales and January ended. (by this time last year, end of January i already had 7 sales from afternic but times changes) February started : Had low priced sales on epik bargain marketplace for some of my soon to expire names i set on BIN there(in November) this was on 2nd of Feb Hempbiscuit.com ($75), Bethelautosales.com ($75) sold same day. 5th Feb had another sale at epik for OceanviewCleaning.com ($75) The following week i had a private sale for a Nutri + Keyword name for $1495 ( can't reveal full name because of NDA) although already shared with a friend or 2 off this thread. Afterwards i sold a bulk name of 30 Brandpa accepted names on namepros for $600 ($20/each) to help ease some of my upcoming renewals. (Used epik escrow to close deal) Then finally had a sale at squadhelp for a name that initially got an inquiry in January (sale is on 9 months installment plan and here's what transpired below. On the 22nd i got an inquiry from Squadhelp stating some buyers are interested in one of my names there (Nexa//travel dot com) for 9 months installment plan (i freaked out when hearing 9 months lol it seems too long to me) i negotiated 6 months they said they'll relate my offer to buyer and get back to me later but i never heard from them. After some weeks past, mehn i later changed my mind and informed them i agreed with the 9 months plan. They said they'll send message across to buyer but i didn't hear anything from them again. Until early this week got mail that name is sold. January sales (2) BlockAura.com - $105 LegitToken.com - $105 February Sale(5) Hempbiscuit.com - $75 OceanviewCleaning.com - $75 Bethelautosales.com - $75 Bulk sale of brandpa names - $600 Nutri******.com - $1495 (private sale) Nexa//Travel dot com - $1699 (Squadhelp) Well in what i may tag a slow start to the year has been full of ups and down. Some might ask why i share with so much details... Reason is i believe this might motivate someone out there because in my down moments in this biz what has kept me going and inspired me alot is the sales journey of others i read. And i gets me believing again. But domaining is unpredictable believe me you never can tell what will sale next. I have over 110 names on Squadhelp for example my best names are still there unsold and what i may tag my worst name is one getting interest and finally sold. It can never get any weirder than that. That's the industry we're in. I return all thanks to God. Keep believing. Peace ![]() |
Dank1u:Wow nice to hear. |
Carmal90:Seems like 10 or so. I'm not sure but most times you get invited through there support. That was my case I got an email invite when I had like 30 names there. Currently now I have around 15 at the moment. But you can contact support to know better. Bro Kindly edit (Modify) your for quote, erase everything and add dot (.), seems like mistake there. Peace ![]() |
2sexycom:Yeah, although such claims ain't always as it looks. I used to think that way too, until I joined their slack channel and I began to see newbies reporting sales every now and then more surprising are people with just one listing (Example is the case of the i shared in the Screenshot Reported sale today) but then it happens all the time over there. (I've been a member of the slack for over a year now) Although I know that such claims might be true buh I still believe that what contributes more to the sale of a me is how good it is (Quality) I'm not advocating for BB though neither do I support that if that's actually whats happening. I've seen people accuse them in the past but to be fair people still making sales there every now and then and most of this sales is reported at there slack channel than namepros or other public forums. I hope the naming contest would be something totally different though. Peace ![]()

Brandbucket Launches It's own Naming Contest Site called Brand New Name. Brandbucket used to have Name my Company but I guess it didn't work out for them hence they want to start this new project probably with fresh ideas(and it's all about naming contests and logo design contest) hence for naming contest you can register as a Creative or you can Register as a logo person if you're a pro logo designer. It'll be Just like Squadhelp naming contest but the difference is that it's on another site and I think contest prices is slightly higher. If you are yet to Register as a Creative and Name Suggest Pro do so now on the link below. Remember the early bird catches the worm. Follow the link here to Register now and get on board right away Link : Go to Brand New Name By the way this is a referral link but a Win win for everyone ![]() Peace ![]() |
Uwaeromosele:Alright. Always turn your Auto renewals off for all names at netsol. I do that first day i register names. Anyways I hope they refund you. Peace ![]() |
Uwaeromosele:I usually call netsol support using my Nigerian number and the response is great. About canceling Auto Renew 'I don't know where relying on support to do everything for you is coming from but I do that myself. I simply marked all my names and chosed "auth renew off" that's it. Since then any name I don't wish to renew simply expires without any charging on my card. If you need to avoid calling support for authorization code, simply apply for them now and have them in your account after 3 days. Then use whenever you like netsol auth code is valid for up to 6months the last time i checked. So it'll do alot good to have them in your email and apply when needed. Peace ![]() |
Promxy94:I'm not sure how that works maybe you should consider reaching out to their support for inquiry. But what i can say is that I've recieved fund twice on transferwise one was last year July (Through brandpa) and another is recent epik transact and both were lit. All I needed to do was provide my bank details to the marketplace (that's all) and they sent fund. I've never transacted from my transferwise account directly before. But like i said inquire from support or maybe someone with better knowledge here will respond to you. Peace ![]() |
Epik Escrow is the best (Payment Option) I've seen in the industry at the moment. Used it to complete a couple of deals lately. Charges low fees 5% or so. Payment was painless. I used TransferWise at Epik wire option and fund hit my local bank account in 10mins or so. TransferWise beats PayPal hands down and favors we Nigerians as well, with all the shakara PayPal has done to us in the past. And I heard if your domain is at Epik you don't need to pay Escrow fees. Epik slowly winning me over. ![]() Peace ![]() |

tinnymerit:Search for similar names in any brandable marketplace, gives you an idea of what niche / industry category the name falls into, and then add your own thoughts to it if you like. Peace ![]() |
AAA593:Example : FOODCover ( specific Product name) FRESHfood ( Pronoun + Noun) = Brandable with Limitless usage in the Food & beverages niche (partially specific(food niche but no product attached) Funix purely Brandable (Limitless Possible Uses ) What I'm i trying to say from the example above, a brandable name should not be limited to just one product, rather it should ring a bell of limitless possibilities of use. When a name is limited to just one use it is hardly a brandable name and more of a specific product name. From the example above you'll see that *Foodcover* tells you all you need to know about the brand it represents hence a company providing a cover material for food can opt to use such name, a Bed material company can't use foodcover as its brand because it's too specific, even if you narrow the company services to Bedcover products only they still cannot use it because Foodcover rings a bell of what it means (Too specific), Now when you look at it from a like to like use, say you want to apply name to a food company use. Not many food companies will go for Foodcover because it is too specific. On the other hand When you look at Freshfood it can apply to different food chains and companies because it opens up the horizon more, it's uses broadened because any company producing food can easily go with the name and its not specific. The reason is because a pronoun + Word name makes a better brandable name than a Noun +word. A name that starts with a noun which is product + verb will most likely limit the name usage. However this does not apply in all cases. But a name that starts with a pronoun gives it an edge of becoming a better brandable name with variety of usage. Funix can be used as a Food company or Mattress or Blockchain or Fintech or Marketplace or Real estate or Banking just name it the use is limitless because it does ring a bell of any exact meaning in the mind when you look at the word hence its usage is limitless. A brandable name is a name that means nothing but can be applied to everything. (that is the Definition a Typical brandable name). The point here is any name that limits its possible uses is hardly a Brandable Name. Peace ![]() |
Bobbybenard:That is not a brand name bro. It is a misplelling. And even the correct spelling *ScrewCover* is more of an exact product name than a brandable name. Peace ![]() |
onwubiko:Bro why are you deliberately making this thread turn toxic. For the Records nobody owes you any answers in this thread, if at all anyone answers your questions they're only doing you a favor, if you didn't get the answer as much as you have wanted then it is up to you to go back and research. Nobody is here to spoon feed you. And the way you have reacted leaves much to be desire of and might endanger people's future contributions to this thread going forward and those who sincerely wants to learn will be affected. From the look of things your initial questions were given due attention to, so what exactly is your problem? Please i urge you to retrace your steps and if possible apologize and let's move on. Nobody succeeds online by showing attitude or ego when a simple mutual understanding would have settled everything. We are here to learn from one another and i hope that's your aim too. Kindly do the needful or let the sleeping dog lie. So this thread can move ahead. Peace ![]() |
Heroclitus:Start reading this thread from the beginning. Saves you the strength of asking too many basic questions and being ignorant of many things. Your question has been attended to many times in this thread. I'll advice you and any newbie to start reading this thread from the beginning than registering names. If you can't list at Godaddy how on earth would you now be able to know what's right to buy. Again if you need proper guide, contact the Op of this thread @iykepromotions or visit julanky.com for contact. So many of you are skipping the basics and that is not healthy for a beginner. |
gentlewind:You welcome |
Essont:Sorry bro, i don't appraise names. Especially in the brandable niche cause the brandable niche is spontaneous (Meaning that what might be brandable to Mr A, might not be same for Mr B) Hence even me is still learning the niche. I'm still a learner too. But i can recommend to you and anyone out there the best method to know if a name is fit to be termed a "Brandable" or not. It's simple method. Using your name as an example "Customizable + AI" (In my opinion the first keyword is too long though) Now using the above name, head to the 3 major brandable marketplaces(Brandbucket, Brandpa and Squadhelp) . First Type "customizable" in the search box. If you do this and it brings alot of search results related to that keyword then it is a pointer that the name is popular then do same for the second word and finally follow your guts if you feel the name is worth it. Guess what, when i did just that for "customizable" at Brandbucket, Brandpa and Squadhelp the result was "no search result" though this might not be the only way to measure your name brandability but it goes a long way to tell you much you need to know about the name. I use the above method always to check what's fit and a what Not. Like i said earlier it's not the only/ultimate way, just a pointer to check brandability. Sometimes I still follow my guts if i feel a name is that good. Please i don't appraise names as I'm still learning and brandable is hard to appraise. So if quotes me for name appraisal i might politely ignore such. Finally, that a name is not brandable doesn't mean it won't sell though(Geo names has been selling more than brandables since Adam). What sales names is Demand. Peace ![]() |
2sexycom:Yeah 95% of my SH listed names are Premium. Currently at 105 premium names there. Though i have a few names i list on "Basic Plus" basically for contest submissions. |
gentlewind:3 keyword names are hardly a brandable in my opinion. Only in squadhelp will you find those kind of names and strange they sell atimes especially in the health niche example (cbdandOil dot com). I repeat again majorly in health niche, and again in squadhelp mostly. But i personally don't subscribe to such names nor recommend it. Peace ![]() |
2sexycom:Wow, Amazing sales. Congrats Boss. ![]() Is that TradeReview dot com is see there? Between i like "BassEnergy" ...Overall great sales, Thanks for sharing. |
cdor777:Exactly bro, more like the shape of an egg |
Whats your thoughts on Godaddy's New Logo guys? Me i think it fails in major aspects of modern design : Color, Font, Memorability, creativity, audience appeal. Even though I was not a big fan of the old logo buh it was kinda memorable with the two speced guy in it. My Verdict : Even though i feel a company as big as their's with a sizeable household name don't necessarily need a logo to sell themselves buh however i suggest Godaddy should do a $5 charge-back from the fiverr guy who designed the logo for them .

Ok after submitting my names about 10 of them to Brandbucket for review. I had to wait for 5weeks 4 days (39 days) to get a response from them and guess what all the names where rejected. ![]() not recounting paying $1/each for the review. Life of a Domainer. We move again!! Meanwhile this Stat below might help someone. It is from a pro Geo domainer. Peace ![]()
