Lol, bro if you understand business and branding you'll know that their business model is not great on long term businesses.

The most important reason why brand markets exist is to help businesses build a stronger brand name and establish the brand to become household names for a very long time.
And SH is not exactly helping them achieve that purpose, the reason why start up's go to big brand marketplaces like Brandbucket, Squadhelp etc is to guide them make a better decision for their brand names which should be quality and tick in all boxes (Brandablity, memorability, catchy and passing the radio test) but i can assure you that there are alot of crappy names at Squadhelp at the moment that are not very ideal for startup establishments.
Imagine a company goes an acquires CanaMed dot com (of course i guess was sold there sometime ago) which is a typical squadhelp kind of name and neglecting to go for the real keyword CannaMed dot com because they saw CanaMed dot com in a reputable brand market like Squadhelp and felt since squadhelp recommended its good for their business, then on a long term a competitor company emerge with the real keyword CannaMed dot com, you'll understand that the company will lose real traffic, customers and search engine strength to CannaMed because every time they recommend CanaMed to their intending customers, more often than not what the customers hear is CannaMed instead. Which is bad decision for long term business models.

Well talking about unregistered names, i don't submit that very often as I'm not a fan of squadhelp owning my name ideas and 75% commission.
Again end users pay them to help them make better decisions for their businesses not otherwise.

Those guys are something else. Their analytical minds are truly legendary with foresight. They have gone far ahead of us but we'll catch up soon. No retreat, no surrender!

I guess na hindsight them get..... they see things more clearly long after they've taken a decision already. Anyways I still manage a couple of acceptance there at the moment, but it's sometimes fluctuative and their ideology of what a brandable name is unstable and irrational...
They tend to work with end user thirst than real market logic which in most cases works for them. Imagine submitting say techy dot com in contest only for an end user (contest holder) to prefer teqky dot com ahead of the more obvious choice, and squadhelp as i marketplace then kind of goes with that flow. That's how i see the system operating. Accepting mediocre names to satisfy end-user thirst over more reasonable names.

Nonotheless the expert Reviewers are another case on top of the matter sha

SquadHelp rejection ratio this days have been legendary if not suicidal i don't know if it's just me. Plus spending alotta coins on top, weekly.

So I'll reckon on consistent members or up to date members of the thread to help me with sincere RECOMMENDATIONS of a newbie u know that needs just that spark to start off.

Who gets the price?

***For the older consistent contributors or if you feel you've been in the thread long enough to know what's going on you're highly eligible to vote a member.

***You vote or recommend just one member (A newbie, who you feel or noticed is sincerely struggling to start up his/her Domaining journey because of financial constraints)

***Once you recommend this person, the vote will be decided by the entire house in form of likes (which means the house will agree with your recommended choice person by liking your mention which is probably going to be the newbies "nairaland moniker", you can equally add the reasons why you feel this person deserves to win the domain registration prize.

***The top 5 highest liked recommended mention wins the prize.

***Now these votes will last for 24 hours. After which winners will be selected and announced based on number of votes received.

***Then next is the winners will be contacted by me via mail.

***They'll have to give the names they wish to be registered. Then I'll register the name using "Dynadot" and push to them within 24 hours or less depending on when they make the decision on a name they'll like to register. If the winner doesn't have a name in mind he/she is free to reach out to older members to help them source say a geo name that have possible chances of selling with good end user potential within this period, I'll happily wait for the newbie to make a decision on hiss/her name of choice.

It's GiveAway Time!!!

Alright i came up with this idea to help 5 newbies with a New dot com domain registration each.

That is 5 domain names to be Won "Newly Registered Domains"

NOW HERE'S THE PLAN :

I've not been regularly following the thread on daily basis though i do drop by often to check what's happening. But i know some of us a consistent in the thread.

So I'll reckon on consistent members or up to date members of the thread to help me with sincere RECOMMENDATIONS of a newbie u know that needs just that spark to start off.

Who gets the price?

***For the older consistent contributors or if you feel you've been in the thread long enough to know what's going on you're highly eligible to vote a member.

***You vote or recommend just one member (A newbie, who you feel or noticed is sincerely struggling to start up his/her Domaining journey because of financial constraints)

***Once you recommend this person, the vote will be decided by the entire house in form of likes (which means the house will agree with your recommended choice person by liking your mention which is probably going to be the newbies "nairaland moniker", you can equally add the reasons why you feel this person deserves to win the domain registration prize.

***The top 5 highest liked recommended mention wins the prize.

***Now these votes will last for 24 hours. After which winners will be selected and announced based on number of votes received.

***Then next is the winners will be contacted by me via mail.

***They'll have to give the names they wish to be registered. Then I'll register the name using "Dynadot" and push to them within 24 hours or less depending on when they make the decision on a name they'll like to register. If the winner doesn't have a name in mind he/she is free to reach out to older members to help them source say a geo name that have possible chances of selling with good end user potential within this period, I'll happily wait for the newbie to make a decision on hiss/her name of choice.


How to Vote

By 8am Nigerian Time I'll comment with a tag "VOTE HERE"
****Then anyone that wishes to vote will simply quote/mention my "VOTE HERE" comment with the nairaland moniker/name of the newbie you are recommending, if you like you can add the reasons why you feel this person needs the name more.
****There is no limit to the number of votes needed, meaning everyone is allowed to vote once you feel the need to mention someone.

***Final step, winners will announce to the house if they've received names as promised. And that's the End....

Bosses please has anyone ever experienced this... A name I submitted was Auto-rejected on SH but they recommended I list it in Basic-Plus. It's a registered name. Abi I should carry my market to another place?

That's the new method currently i guess. When a name is auto rejected. They might recommend basic plus listing if they see potential in the name. But you pay $5 for logo at basic plus.
