Anyone in Enugu know the present state of this public building? This was one of the buildings the Queen of England visited during her 1956 visit to the then Eastern Region (see accompanying YouTube clip).

I think the level of our maintenance culture is scandalous to say the least! Just look at how they've left that building to rot! Some public buildings of the same age in Kaduna and Lagos are still well looked after and in use, while abroad building hundreds of years old are still in use or have become national monuments that attract visitors!

Are you saying they got an agreement with Yar'Adua to construct a new road or to maintain/repair/dualise an existing road?

If there was an agreement which the ministry of works should be aware and all things documented, they will get their refunds for it belongs to the states.So any incumbent governor can do a follow up to get refunds from the FG.

Are you saying Peter Obi built a FG road and there was no refund or there was no agreement and he went ahead to do it just to ensure the state looks clean?

How u can naively believe that ALL the igala people in anambra love the concept of a united Igbo beats my imagination...hw u cant see that it is possible that the 6 or 7 guys on here creating division could actually be none-igbos of south east origin kills me...i mean..doesnt it make sense?

I was wondering if we could team up and buy very large inexpensive land and turn it into a city with its own rules and regulations. I don't care where the land is located as long as it isn't a desert.

I am thinking of creating artificial Lake/River to serve the city if non exists.

The law enforcement people should be well-paid, professionally trained local vigilante. I just cannot stand the dysfunctional Nigeria police.


Any community could donate land for this project. And of course we need to be extremely transparent and accountable with this to avoid misunderstanding.

i will like such a city...nsukka and ebonyi has large lands for that.

The city can contain tall residential building....nice street roads and lighting...schools and churches...

An incident occurred in an existing airport and nothing stops the state government to sort out its repairs and collect refunds from the FG government.
Did you hear me say states governors are supposed to embark on FG new projects ?
Have you not heard of states governors doing maintenance on FG roads and collecting refunds ?
Or do you want to drag me into your purported marginalization and hatred done against the Igbo ?
There are only 3 tribes in Nigeria and the Igbo is one but if they keep crying about hatred,etc,etc done against them then I think it is their own undoing that caused such.

i gave u e.g of link roads being done by state govs and u still thinking our state govs are the problem? But have u given me just one e.g of a state gov that completed an fg road? None!

It might interest u to know (if u know south east well) that in 2007 enugu and anambra got a go-ahead by yaradua to start building the enugu onitsha express...the anambra started from the niger bridge end while enugu started from abakpa junction end...both had gone far by 2010...but still not a kobo realeased by fg...they had to stop. Till today...they were not refunded their contribution...infact the only reason onitsha looks clean now is because peter obi built the entire onitsha part of the road...shame on u and ur kinds who will never speak out against injustice once it concerns igbos.

Oh i forgot to add...the federal road linking nsukka with enugu and benue became so bad (still is) sullivan had to create another route from abakpa to nsukka by himselfm..clearing bushes and building a magnificient road...u will never hear of these ones...but once we complain about fg...u guys will tell us we are marginalising ourself....without even understanding our issues

In other states, where FG roads are bad, the state's government do the repairs themselves and go claim the money from the FG under a pre-determined agreement and approval by the FG to embark on such.

An airport owned by the fg damaged since 2016 and u are blaming the govs for not fixing it...who collects the taxes paid by planes using the airport? Is it the govs? So why will they use money meant for state projects to build fg's project. The legislature makes laws...they dont build projects and they dont inplement the laws they make...that is the job of the executive. Legislators in nigeria only get constituency project allowance which is basically less than a 100 million per year for each member...some good ones use the money to build small projects and gv scholarships...the rest pocket the money...are u now saying they should use the small money they get to build federal highways?? Or airports or 2nd niger bridge?? Hw old are u? And where do u come from...i want to knw hw many highways the senators representing ur areas have built...u guys are very wicked...turning truth upside down to pain a picture of igbos hating themselves...when all evidence point to the fact that igbos love themselves much more than other groups...u say we are clannish in one breath and say we hate ourselves in another breath...pls stick to one narrative.

funny enough the only development currently in that airport was done by stella oduah.

If u dont maintain something...it will decay...a solid cargo section was built by her and is about 85% complete by 2015...pmb has refused to complete it. She refurbished the airport since 2013...a storm that occured in 2016 brought down a part of the reception (the storm was very heavy and brought down buildings) yet 2 yrs later nothing has been done. Even common pot holes on runways buhari refused to fix...now ugwuanyi is fixing them...yet fg takes all the revenues generated by the airport.
Igbos are not their worst enemies anymore than yoruba are yoruba enemy or hausa are hausa enemy. Repeating a lie wont make it so. U guys forced oduah out of aviation ministry cos u said she had an igbo agenda...now you are re-writing history again...sad
