Donmedrac:yorubas care only about yoruba...they are no body's friend...never trust them |
After imperialyoruba and westbestside will tell us u cant divide omolabi with religion ![]() Do u guys hear this type of nonsense from the east? |
goodnessme1:actually...i dare say Yoruba moslems are wiser than their christian counterpart...and it is they who will first shout that u cant divide omolabi with religion...but they were quick to create religious tension in osun wen aregbesola ordered missionary schools to allow muslims students to wear hijab... Yoruba xtians are docile and dont realise wat is going on |
ImperialYoruba:u know wat is called a 'visible minority'? Why are yoruba people always talking unintelligently wen ever they are arguing politics with igbos? All most all of u say things that dont make sense wen ever we argue here. Kinda shows me u guys have no point at all. Igbos are 99% christians. Even people practicing other religions here are also going to church too. Therefore religion plays no role in politics here. Except catholic vs ang vs penticostal...that in itself plays little or no role because of blurred differences. Kaduna on the other hand is a religiously troubled state with a very visible minority who have raised alarm in the past of plans to islamise them. Plans to turn their chiefdoms into emirates... Why are u guys annoyingly dull? |
Westbestside:why were ur people shouting igbos support gej in 2015 campaign...insulting us and calling urselves and northerners 'well meaning nigerians'. U guys brought divisive politics to nigeria. In 1953 elections that ncnc won...u guys decamped enmass to deny the leader of ncnc the premiere position. In 1964 u guys played hate politics to the extent awolowo went to jail for treason. In 1983 elections there was violence in the west. In 1993 elections...for the 1st time in a democratic pairing of candidates...abiola appointed another muslim as vp and wen he was called out by christian leaders...he infamously made a statement that he didnt need eastern votes. A very dangerous and divisive comment for a candidate. We all remember freshly the campaign of calumny u guys heaped on igbos for supporting gej...and we have also seen how u guys have gone to town to label atiku 'an igbo candidate' Bro for real yorubas and no other ethnic group in nigeria play hate based politics. Am really getting sick of our back and forth |
Westbestside:do wat is best for ur people and leave us to do wat is best for our people. Saying we hate other tribes and critisizing every of our moves is the height of insensitivity....nairaland jokes aside |
Westbestside:exactly....so we can agree that if u feel marginalised...u should agitate. Thats wat igbos are doing |
Osagyefo98:i have left the other thread for u. Gi na ihe mee! |
Westbestside:the ones i remember i mentioned. Why are we shouting marginalisation? Really? So because we once had it good, we should never complaij again after having it bad for 40+ years now? All our federal roads and school left to rot by vindictive rulers past...wat are we supposed to be shouting? Just that gej tried for us in only 4yrs...yorubas went to town shouting marginalisation and teaming up with a bigot they didnt wanna touch just 4 years earlier...look in the mirrow bro |
Westbestside:The Eastern region ranked as the nation's leading palm oil producer. Late in the nineteenth century, the southern portion of the region was part of the brief Oil Rivers Protectorate, a province named after palm produce. In the early 1960s, palm oil contributed close to 90% of the region's export earnings at a time the country supplied a third of the world palm produce. To the south, towards the lagoons and the creeks fishery is a source of living. The region in the 1960s possessed the leading commercial coal reserve in West Africa, however, competition from alternative sources of energy such as natural gas and diesel led to a rosy future for the industry. An important gas powered plant was erected at Afam and associated gas was piped to supply energy to the Trans Amadi Industrial Estate in Port Harcourt. Increasing production from oil further led to the industrial development of the Port Harcourt area towards the end of the Nigerian first republic. The three regional governments earn revenue through direct and indirect taxes and remittances of agricultural export duties from the federal government. http://nigerianwiki.com/Eastern_Region No one conversant with the history of Nigeria in the I950s and 1960’s will miss the overwhelming impact of Dr M.I. Okpara on the nation. After all by 1964 he was fully in charge of the fastest growing and industrialising economy in the world- the Eastern Nigerian economy. https://oblongmedia.net/2017/12/12/when-eastern-nigeria-was-one-of-the-fastest-growing-economies-in-the-world/amp/ As I pointed out in a public lecture in 1995, by 1964- five years after Okpara’s ascendancy to the premiership- Eastern Nigeria as recorded by a research group in Michigan State University in the US, Eastern Nigeria was the fastest growing and industrialising economy in the world – ahead of Malaysia, Korea, Taiwan and Singapore. Professor Anya O Anya, PhD (Cambridge) D.Sc (Hon) FAS, OFR, NNOM Abuja 26 February 2014 The 1st president, 1st speaker, 1st senate president, 1st chief of army, 1st inspector general of police, richest nigerian, 1st president of nigerian stock exchange, 1st indegenous independent uni, 1st indegenous vc of a college. The ones i can remeber. Aguiyi ironsi actually surrounded himseld with northerners...even his adc was from north...no wonder it was easy to kill him. |
www.nairaland.com/attachments/8136081_20181114114116_jpegd165b00b210a223a58b7bd6aa8cac3ff i find the highlighted prepostrous and silly. How can the jibril person say he doesnt think buhari is personally corrupt..wen in the same article he was said to have used 100 million naira (in 1997 that was like 10 billion naira of today) just to give 'a face lift' to a building. Buhari is not just corrupt and incompetent...he is bigoted, sadistic, hypocritical and old. He represents everything wrong with africa |
Westbestside:the richest man in nigeria in the 60s was luis ojukwu. Igbos dominated the govt in the 60s even in north and west. Igbos had so many '1sts' in the 60s..plus the eastern region was acknowledged in 1965 as the fastest growing economy in africa |
hisexcellency34:lol...thats actually a wrong job. There main job should be managing issues such as internet and mobil networks...registering tv newspapers and radios. Announcing specific govt info to the public (not govt propaganda). |
Alepa:chai see anger fear and deep pain ![]() |
Sincinnati:i understand ur sentiments in ur earlier post but truth is dem dey born too...like fowls. And it is the same reason that drives them to open our borders that also drive them to marry early and born everywhere. Buhari for one is the 23rd child of his father. The emir sanusi that is talking has 12 kids already |
CilicMarin:ngeneukwenu the yoruba bigot...can we now agree that u are not better than pdp or 'nnamdi cownu' or ipob and other people u insult here daily ![]() |
backnbeta:perfect reply to the bigots |
Modphase:lol...from ur answer to the guy's post and from the bolded, i can only say it seems he is up against igbophobia and nothing more. |
CilicMarin:ngeneukwenu u are no longer igbo? U are now north and west. Lol.. |
Corrinthians:behold a typical buhari suporter's mindset |
Igbo guys ![]() |
Stalwert:yoruba people and their childish arguments...smh |
Officially unfollowed the thread. The osagyefo98 guy plus his 50 other monikers can now rest easy that he has destroyed this beautiful thread. What his motives are to do this and who he actually is...is left to him and God. Congratulations. He stays on this thread 24/7, showing he has nothing else to do. The thread taught me a lot tho...both good and bad. I appreciate pazienza and ckenneths. Any serious person here who wants to act on some of our earlier decisions and need my help can send me an email. See u all on the other end. |
hammerFC:hammerfc...i respect u...pls dont go down like this...dony join chino in this madness bro...for real |
From wat i can see from this thread so far...Anambra people are the next people that will do an 'ikwerre' on ndiigbos again. They are the next people that will deny being igbo and start pushing for an 'omambala' tribal identity. A sad thing...but nothing concern me again....i will quietly unfollow this thread. |
basilo101:guy i get time to dey argue with trolls...leave those guys |
bixton:ibb built the 3rd mainland bridge for the west...was he yoruba? Gej built the abuja-kaduna rail for north was he hausa? Was there any northerner or westerner who fought for those projects? Wat exactly u mean by fighting for a project? So all our leaders that have been shouting and begging different presidents for 2nd niger bridge are not fighting? Do u know that it was stella oduah who made the enugu airport to be international and started refurbishing...do u know that the 1st thing buhari did in aviation sector was to down grade the airport to domestic and abandon the wrks going on in it? All the begging by our leaders to return the status of the airport has fell on deaf ears...it was this same airport he used last yr wen he came to the east...he saw how it was...he was begged to do sometin about it. The lagos ibadan expressway that gej started...which yoruba leader made him to start it? Am interested also for u to tell me exactly wat u meant by caricature our leaders made about the niger bridge in last admin. Is that one of the many wild accusations and wrong statements that u have been making since on this thread. None of the things i challenged u to prove could u prove... |
bixton:wat are u talking about....the current niger bridge is shaking because of over use....its the gateway to the east....many ppl use it. A 2nd one is a national priority...not even a regional one. The airport might be a regional priority but the niger bridge is an urgent national need...just like the lagos-ibadan-benin express way. But ppl are playing politics because they believe it only affects igbos. Tell me wat fg has ever done for the east.... I can list for u wat they have done in the north and west since 2007....tell me wat...anything at all the fg has done for the east...pls...this is urgent...am willing to list wat was done in the north and west too if u challenge me |
Xander85:leave those scums. Many of them are igala and edo....igbo intrigue them a lot. They want to know wat makes us thick. From sports to business to education. From war to peace and stability...from backward towns to new, beautiful cities. From obsucrity to being the most talked about ethnic group in africa...thats why they are on this thread with 50 monikers...Igbo rocks |
ckenneths:i know. But the issue is about the state of this building...a colonial heritage. Look at how the church maintains holyghost cathedral...or this anglican cathedral in lagos...compare it with how govt left this building. We need to refurbish that building
|
bixton:sure they may eventually be refunded...but if u are a gov...will u go and be doing fg projects wen u know u may not get the money in ur tenure? And many ppl in ur state wont even knw u are d one dat did it. Pls be realistic. The eastern govs cannot do the niger bridge...it links anambra and delta...ie SE and SS. I voted buhari because i thought he would do it...but obviously its not a priority |
