Purehuman: I think you guys are underplaying the cultural diversity of the south south. As the Yorubas are looking for a stake in Atiku's government while the igbos are looking for presidency assurance come 2023. The south south people are relatively quiet.
You can also smell the division of purpose when you see the isokos and urhobos joining APC enmasse so that they can take power from anioma.
What am I trying to draw out from these? The south south we all think will push for exit after we might have gotten Biafra will be more incoherent than us. The political tussle that is silent will be so visible that they will just amount to another middle belt. Some of the ethnic groups who will want to Lord over the rest will have to kiss the palm of the caliphate to make it a reality. As you can see now, some of those groups are already rearing their ugly heads up.
This is to show you that many of your postulations might not be the case when we want to leave. I think the north and the southwest kept the south south to checkmate our excesses. They make them water down our influences by putting Igbo hating Igbos close to us in the south south.
So the best bet for us is to bring down one of those defences down. The anioma has always loved to control a state of their own. Why can't we fight for them to have it. With one condition of being added to the southeast. This alone will give them sense of belonging to push for a southeastern agenda because they know they will benefit from it. We will not have real issues with these groups because they also have high HDI as a group.
This will radically make the southeast only Biafra fly with little dissenting voice of opposition in the country.
i agree with all u said. I just want to say that tho i want anioma state created and added to SE, they really wont solve the biggest problem of SE which is direct access to sea port.
The only viable way to solve that is to include parts non-igbo SS into SE.
The smallest parts of SS we can include into SE to gain our sea access are the LGAs of khana, oyigbo and opobo.
Either we find a way to do the above, or we remain landlocked. Even if we add anioma and ikwerre join...still wont gv us the deep blue sea
NaijirianKing: While this may be true, some residing in Anioma make claim that they are not Igbo, since a renewed Biafra appears to be leaning towards being an Igbo ethno-state, it would be unwise to force those who have stated that they are not Igbo into such a nation.
The better alternative would be to first form the nation with those who explicitly want and desire such a state and leave those where such zeal is absent. Once such a nation is established, and functional, any group(s) residing in Nigeria that feels that they should be annexed into the ethno-state can begin negotiations with Biafra, thus such inclusion would not be forced upon any group or people.
another true talk. U.s started with 7 states...today it has 50 states and many territories. Even u.k started with only england and wales.
Of course we would only accept future entries who are our close kins
NaijirianKing: The only issue here is that the Igbo are the proverbial glue of Nigeria. Some ethnic groups will only remain in Nigeria as long as there remains someone besides them that's being marginalized, meaning, that once the group that is receiving the majority of the marginalization leaves, there will be a vacuum and that vacuum will be filled by another group. Not every group is strong enough to endure what Igbos have endured in this nation, and they are aware of this. If Igbos left today, then other groups will also leave, the Niger Delta immediately comes to mind as they would use an Igbo exit as a way to corner their oil resources in an independent Nation or Nations.
Also, a demographic shift would happen overnight as 40-50 million Christian Igbos are no longer counted in the 200 million population figure where 42% of Nigerians are Christians, meaning that the country would be 68% Muslim and only 24% Christian, and this would only embolden those who want to radically spread Islam via jihad as they now have the clear majority.
In short, Nigeria without the Igbo would be a very different place and wouldn't be business as usual as the entire nation would collapse, it's not a love for the Igbo that made Nigerians not want to let them go, it was more a desire to avoid the aftermath of an Igbo exit.
u are correct. But i dont think yorubas wanna leave nigeria. About 40% of them are muslims and see the north as their brothers. Some yorubas in ilorin are also part fulani....plus dangote, dantata and a lot of northern oligarchs own lagos. Yorubas have everything they need in one nigeria. And u know most of their leaders are yoruba and pro- north
I agree that niger delta will want to leave once igbos leave. We should help FG ensure that doesnt happen. If we buy parts of khana and opobo from either FG or the indegenes themselves, we would be splitting the niger delta into two. Awka-cross on one side and rivers, bayelsa delta on another....making it hard for them to agree.
We might even under-take a defence pact with nigeria to help them fight ND millitants once they start agitating..
We would have our sea access and still help the FG keep peace in their oil region. How much do u think the area in question might cost compared to how easy it will make life for future igbos. The area in question isnt worth much today because of oil polution. Imagine if we buy it, clean it up and build a sea port in it. Our children will be proud of such a deft move. And ikwerre will hate as usual.
horsepower101: He made is own personal opinion which I am very sure majority of us disagree with if you have been following the discussions happening on this thread. You only hover around in the corner always waiting for moments like these to strike and pour your venom. Its getting very boring and old.
see...that suggestion should be considered. There are so many cases in history where countries add to their landmass by acquiring extra lands thru negotiation.
As i said...alaska was bought from russia by u.s. Even wales was add to england thru negotiation. Eritrea became a part of ethiopia thru negotiations. Bakassi penisular became a part of cameroon thru negotiations.
Is it unreasonable to offer to go with only the 5 SE states and then negotiate with fg to acquire PARTS (only parts) of these 3 lgas leading up to the sea. We can even offer 500 million usd to be paid over a period of time for the lands. They are lands bro...and they are not that large. Plus they are polluted lands too with little agric value. But buying them for even as high as 500 million usd guarantees that igboland will not be landlocked anymore.
HopeAtHand: I find it nothing but desperation for Igbos to attempt to be what they are not and sadly can never be. Igboland is landlocked and should look at her positives and look for ways to use her advantages.
the only desperation here is that u who isnt igbo is following a purely igbo thread 24/7 looking for who to argue with and where to start poo and get a reaction.
Suggesting, even if mildly that Oyigbo, Opobo and Khana LGA, (the heart of Ogoniland) be annexed into Igboland through negotiations with the FGN and not by the desire or wish of the Ogonis et al is not only a slight on them but a clear indication of how life will be for whichever ethnic nationalities that aren't Igbo but find themselves either by omission or commission in the Biafran Federation.
first of all the 3 mentioned areas were part of the 1st biafra. 2ndly who told u that these people wont be engaged to agree to either come with us or gv up their lands. U.s bought the state of alaska from russia. Lets say we offer to pay $500 million for parts of these 3 lga leading up to the sea.... do u think the leaders of those 3 lga wont be consulted and carried along? If after the transaction, some indegenes of those 3 lga decide to re-integrate into nigeria instead of biafra...the nigerian govt can resettle them like the bakassi case
IPOB is just a crackhead association, though with some nuisance value, and the kind of crazy ideas they come up with, anyone aligning with them must always do so from a comfortable distance as they can at any point drive sane people off their mind.
the world is usually changed by people that are considered 'crackheads'. I am happy we are entertaining u with our 'nuisance value'
Cjrane2: The assumption is that those LGAs will opt to remain in Nigeria than with their kith and kin in Biafra. That assumption is false. If Igbo leaves Nigeria, Nigeria will not continue as one united country. Yoruba for one will not want to share a country with fulanis and so are the southern minorities.
That is why they don't want Igboland to leave at any cost.
well we can get biafra easier if the north knows it wont lead to SW and SS leaving with us.
That is why skilled negotiators can work with fg to see how things can work for both parties.
The first biafran war was fought by 95% only igbos. Niger deltans joined gowon early in the fight. Now also the 2nd biafra championed by ipob is around 85% SE igbos only. We have heard many ethnic groups from SS dissociate themselves from ipob.
However, we know that igboland is not just the 5 SE states. Igboland includes Anioma in delta and large parts of rivers state. Now am saying we can drop anioma and igboid areas of rivers state, and also drop the other niger delta states if FG can allow us to have oyigbo, khana and opobo. It doesnt even need to be the whole areas....just enough lands to extend SE into the sea. By so doing also, we divide the niger delta into 2. This will further ensure that the niger delta republic will be a dead dream cos cross river and akwa ibom will be cut off from rivers delta bayelsa.
I was looking at these two maps and a thought struck me about the new biafran struggle.
I will suggest that if the biafran struggle ever gets serious, we can negotiate with gov on boundaries that work.
U see how close abia state is to the sea? Only 3 lgas in rivers state seperates abia from the deep sea.
We can negotiate with fg to gv us those 3 lgas which are Oyigbo, khana and opobo lgs. In return, we will for-go all igboland in SS. Including asaba and ph and every othet land outside se. That way, we wont be landlocked and we wont be taking strategic fg territories.
The people in those communities can be resettled like the bakassi pennisular case. Those who want to remain will be given authonomy within biafra. Recognising them as a minority group. They will have a share of sea port revenue with biafran govt.
Our oshimili and aniocha brothers in delta state can also declare that they must join us. Am sure fg and international community can and will respect that. The rest of delta igbo or rivers igboid can continue in nigeria with wat ever identity they choose.
As for oil, we can also negotiate to keep the current sharing formular for our 5 se states
juliusmalema be doing his igbo-hating thing and fooling yoruba ppl in the process. Believe this at ur own peril.
As an enugu guy, i can tell u that coal city marvels at the strenght and courage of ebonyi ppl. Look at how quickly they turned abakiliki into a fast growing urban area while ado ekiti is still looking like a northern village
magoo10: The police are foolishly giving Evans the opportunity of outsmarting them in this case with these type of revelations. Professionalism is lacking here Extrajudicial killings are not within the ambit of law.
nigerian armed forces are a bunch of lowlife tugs, agberos and fulani herdsmen
docadams: Attachment by a 5% group. Check all the threads and their numerous responses on these platform. Those against PMB are 99% from the IPOB republic. OBJ has hardly influenced elections conducted in his ward since 1999. So tell me what electoral value do OBJ and your 5%ters have in the present scheme of things in Nigeria
so why are u bringing up wat obj said...if he is no longer relevant??
Yorubas should learn to stick to one narrative while making their infantile arguments
It will be the sensitization and enlightening of the Igbos who still believe in us developing ourselves within the contraption called Nigeria.
When we sensitize them and educate them on the policies best for igbo land. They wake up from their ignorance and become able to hold their HoA representatives, LGA chairman and governors more accountable.
In few years,it will gain more followers from Igboist and other Igbo online forums.
Before you know it. We have the attention of the respective governors. Elective positions will be held tpo and constitution drafted.
Any presenter who becomes compromised by politicians can be replaced and sacked from the organisation.
I'm in. Anything for my fatherland Alaigbo.
of course biafra is not attainable now. We are not organised for war and we have no allies to aid us. So we are not promoting a divided nigeria.
We can however use the biafran name to get audience. Igbos love biafra and will listen to someone talking about biafra. We can even call the radio Biafran Radio Network. We will use it to teach our ppl how we can get biafra within one nigeria and how we can develop igboland.
We will also make money from adverts both on the radio and on the tv. Our programs will be the same issues we discuss here and our reach can start from enugu to other parts of igboland.
We will share profits according to our various investments
Lol the north is not even seeing the east's back. Not in human capital at least. I can agree that federal roads in the east is the worst in the country but that in itself is an indictment on the north and their vindictive mentality.
fiizznation: My friend shut up. This talk about north not developed is just plain silly. Is your region(SE) more developed than the north? Which of your state is half as developed as Kano state? None. I have visited your region and it was in your region i first saw were people defecate openly in the middle of a main-market(happened in Abia state). The north might not be developed as it supposed to be, but your region is worst in terms of development. You have the worst road network in the country, one of your state have the highest VVF patients in the country, etc.
Back to the topic. Only few people will vote for Atiku in the north and that's if he is even lucky.
You must think I suffer from an inferiority complex as you do.
I am anti-terrorist against Jewish forceful occupation of Arab Palestinian lands despite being a Christian, as I am not a fanatic or Jewish worshiper.
Mossad ko, Molete nii.
When you goad other miscreants to their deaths like you did before, just make sure this time you also sacrifice your own lives.
Stop living a lie and a psychiatric delusion.
There is no Trump, no Israel, no Mossad, no Netanyahu, no Putin supporting your anarchy. You are alone and have been rejected by the Igbo society who have had enough of your propaganda and tyranny.
Are you not the same lunatic clown that posted the below?
Are you not the same illiterate who posted your own IPOBic version of the iconic image of American soldiers mounting their flag on Japanese soil during the 2nd world war, but foolishly called them a Biafran space force without any breathing or gravity gear?

stop throwing childish tantrums. Face ur skull minning capital
whirlwind7: Hosting a radio show to air these points here: brilliant move! Floating a political party? Don't waste your time. Nigerian politics have a way of bringing out the cynics in most people. We all know how it is.
I am not sure what popular broadcasters or programs in the SE that people often tune in to listen to. Introducing a new program on air might take a long time to reach the ears of the masses and garner much audience as anticipated. So, one good suggestion is to "piggyback" on an already established program or a popular broadcaster who will always introduce the specific radio show that will broadcast these ideas and discussions to the Igbo masses. Such shows should be aired regularly, at least once a week.
How about even using known personalities like Uche Ogbuagu? I think thats another idea. How about popular musicians and artistes? Think about it. Think about the number of people who will want to pay attention when popular artistes volunteer to go on air and table these discussions and ideas we have here. They can even make video recordings and power point presentations and upload them on YouTube.... Utilise every form of social media to do this....the possibilities are immense.
Once such personalities talk about it, and tell people how a group of people from diverse backgrounds are rubbing minds and brainstorming on how to push a socioeconomy renaissance of the southeast, it will draw a lot of curiosity at first, then the interest will pick up....until it gradually creates a very passionate and mass movement.
It can be done!!
ckenneths
I agree with both of u. I think instead of going on a popular radio station, we can actually float our own and even have a youtube channel equivalent of the radio for video debates.
We can make money from it while at the same time educating igbos. Hw did radio biafra become so popular?
As for political party. We should also float a political party and try our luck...u never can tell.
We should start with the most doable. Anybody available to do this should include me
fiizznation: We all know the name of his dog is jack, but funny enough, we don't know the names of his members that foolishly gave their lives for his fraudulent biafra struggle. The fraudster never mentioned their names. Lol isn't that funny?
funny enough kanu didnt say his dog was killed. He said his cousin and 28 others were killed but then apc propaganda went to work to riddicle him
UdechiHD: No need sharing this speech. We will vote in our numbers whether or not IPOB headquarters like it. For this is the only way to keep our aspirations alive. God forbid we fail to vote! Kanu know that no one but his die hard followers will pay heed to such suicide mission. Not voting will give Buhari the edge and that will still not count in our favour unless an underground negotiation has been agreed. The Igbo nation is voting massively in 2019. Kanu should take that to the bank.
UdechiHD: Nnamdi Kanu's resurrection is really dividing opinion now.
and any igboman who wants an independent igbo nation should support him.
If u feel u dont like his methods, reach out to him and tell him ur own views...u might be surprised that he would listen. Pazienza
Kanu himself abandoned his career and joined massob. Wen he got tired, he formed his own.
U should never feel that being an online critic to a man who has the support of millions of people is a smart strategy..his supporters wont hear ur online noise o...not wen they themselves are on ground
GoTV: Nigeria will sanction Israel for shielding kanu from prosecution. He should be extradited to Nigeria to avoid diplomatic row. For Kanu to threaten Nigeria from Israel shows their government is culpable. Nnamdi will not succeed in life
victorvezx: Nigeria was anti-apartheid, and South Africa didn't like it. As at today, Nigeria does not have any diplomatic conflict with any country. Kanu being in Israel does not mean Israeli government supports him. There are hundreds of political enemies seeking refuge in mostly other democratic countries, it does not mean the government of that country supports the individual
it also doesnt mean isreal doesnt support him. It goes both ways. . His presence there can be either because isreal supports him or because they dont care about him. Until u are sure which one it is, believe wat u want...let me believe wat i want
