I refused to be swayed by all your sentiments, Am from Cross River, but if you go to Akwa Ibom and see rate of development there, then you will know you are looking at this the wrong way.
the rate of development in akwaibom enugu anambra are commendable...but believe me, they could be much better if u remove the nigerian factor.

Are the police in akwaibom no longer controled from abuja? Will the fulani police man in awkaibom be of much assistant to u if there is herdsmen crisis? If there is a peaceful demonstation in eket, will the zoo army nolonger open fire?

Do u think development starts and ends in road construction?

Can ibaka deep sea port compete favourably with lagos sea ports? Wen fg is still controlling maritime? Are the oil spillage in awkaibom going to be cleaned up? Wen nothing concern kastina with it. Will the fg now stop spending scare resourse on hajj every year? Will the cbn now have uniform exchange rate?

My guy...nigeria can never be good. We in the east (and dat includes u)have a very different value system from the west and north.

Look at ghana...soon it will be a developed country...nigeria has stagnated. The people running nigeria are the north and they dont believe in progress

Mumu you think everyone will be fooled by the foolish propaganda of you Ipobs. Did the soldiers just opened fire on civilians ?

Your foolish Igbotic brain can not comprehend warning shot were fired into the air after the army truck with ammunition cane under attack ?

Your deluded Igbotic brain did not see that it was the back up military men that came to rescue the 2 soldiers guiding the army truck but seriously what kind of curse are you Igbos suffering from ?

Do you expect the army to just watch m not call for back up or you expected they should watch till they are stoned to death ? Anyway, I do not blame you I blame owner of NL that is using your Ipobtic thread to generate income.
i repeat...stop throwing the word bigot around carelessly...the only bigot on this thread so far is u

How many Ibo millionaires do you have up North, West, East and South.

Oh you mean politics? I want to ask you and be very honest with your assessment, were the Ibos really interested in politics from the onset?

If talk about the constitution being created by the North and for the North how come the South West are now one of the most Dominant forces in politics today in Nigeria, in fact the South West are now the King Makers.

I have said it before and I will say it again, until you understand the problem clearly, you will never find the true solution to it.
u are talking about igbo business men who risked everything to make money mostly in enemy territory.

Let me ask u....during the war the north and the west came together while igbos were at war and balkanised igbo land. They took all our oil producing parts and added to Rivers state. An ijaw controlled state then. That singular act led many igbos to denounce being igbo in order not to be marginalised by ijaw. That act also made us landlocked. Who did they consult b4 doing that?

Look at the niger bridge, it may collapse anytime...but the fg doesnt care. Look at enugu airport...gej started it while buhari abandoned it. Look at federal highways in the east, compare them with highways in the west. Look at the number of states SE has...compare it with other regions. Look at ibeto and innoson...see how the govt is trying to kill their biz. Look at lagos and how its being choked with containers while obj hiked the tarriffs to be paid if u import with another port other than lagos.

Look at recruitment into federal civil service and how its skewed to favour north and west only. Look at the eastern roads filled with armed checkpoints. Look at how the fulani killings that happened in the east was treated by fg...compare it with how ipob was treated.

B4 gej came, which igboman ever was ig of police or chief of army? Look at the oil spillage in niger delta and yet the north and abuja is getting all the oil money that is theirs.

Look at how everything in nigeria is concentrated at the center simply because the north wants to lord it over the rest of the country.

And pls the west is not any king makers...they are house niggers. The north allows them some goodies because they are needed as southern allies. If the north is not landlocked, sw would be put in their place real fast

All these bigoted Igbos again so the army should have allowed them to make away with the ammunition they were guiding or why will any sane group mobilize to start stoning army ?

Mr Man you can die if you want to Buhari is not going anywhere. The video clearly showed the soldiers weren’t firing at first until they were attacked.
throwing the word bigot around carelessly dont u think? U are happy the military is killing unarmed people simply because those unarmed ppl are not part of ur group.

The bigot igbos as u called them are sad about the killings even tho the killed are not part of their group.

Now who is the bigot?

No part of delta-state is part of your imagined igboland !
I never hear you guys talk about cameroon which has more than 80% of your land. The original biafra (the precolonial african state) was mostly in cameroon.
go and tell prof. Pat utomi that his family and ancestral lands dont belong to igboland.

Plus i wont reply u again....i thought u have come for intelligent discussion. I didnt know u are here to talk about nonsense

You guys are not freedom fighters, you are fighting for your rights to uppress others.
What you want is to take over other people's lands.
And you are disguising yourselves as "freedom fighters".
Delta-state has never been part of igboland, but the ressources there always have you people add it to your map of biafra and call it igbo land.
For your info. The administratif seperation between Delta-state and Edo-state was done in the 1990's. Before then we had Bendel, and before then, we had midwest and before then we were in the western region and before then both states were part of Benin Kingdom.
So where is the legitimacy of your claim ?
I used to be simpathetic to you guys, but you are acting horrible !
You want to get out of "marginalisation" only in order to marginalise other people.
You guys are acting like animals.
Giving all I have said, it is clear you guys don't want friends, you only want ennemies. And this is why you will always lose.
believe me....most of us dont want delta state in biafra. If u guys carve out the igbo part of delta state and gv us, we will be grateful and would stop adding all of delta to our 'madness'

My point is the person I quoted had hatred for the North, blaming Luggard. Forgetting after the Millitary came into power via coup, we now have democracy.

The Leaders that came into power were elected, they were not shoved on us by the North.
Even Ojukwu himself had a shot the presidency we all knew how that went, I personally think it was the party people voted for not the candidates, just like the nonsense happening now.
So you see Nigeria is not the problem, it's all politics and this is not the Ibos strongest points (just look at how they are going about getting their referendum).

As for you comment about Ibo not having it good in Nigeria - are you for real?
nigerian politics is the problem. The northern soldiers created the current constitution to favour the north, abandoning the 1963 democratic constitution our fathers accepted.

It can change in biafra...but it will never change in nigeria.

Pray tell, how would u have gone about getting a referandum if u were igbos?

Tell me how good igbos have had it so far...maybe i missed it

You sound mature and Logical, unlike the other guys giving me more reasons not to consider Biafra

Honestly, the best way would be to constitutionally zone the presidency
in biafra, tribes will probably form states (not the current 10 states created by nigeria)....and those states will control their destiny 100%. The center will be unattractive like it was in 1960s nigeria. And yes....the best would be to zone presidency constitutionally.

But we have to fight and get biafra 1st.

Thats it.....

When its time for 2nd Presidency, U guys might use your majority to be president again
not after the lessons learned in nigeria. Besides...most igbos today will prefer donald duke to many top igbo politicians.

The reason we want biafra is because of ideological differences with west and north. Not because of presidency or oil.

And yes you are right. The only reason we mention Lagos is because thats a typical Igbo mans focal point.
Just watch as Ekene dili chukwu dumps them in ojota, jibowu, oshodi etc. You give one igbo man apartment 2days later 15 people will be leaving in the same room. Igbos are litered everywhere in Lagos with no meaningfully work doing
because lagos was fct for 76 years. Why are igbos not in ibadan? Why are we not in ph the way we are in lagos?

Its only because of airport seaport and big lagos population. Nothing else

it not about Lagos.. It about SW.
Now that you have mentioned Enugu why cant your brothers just focus there instead.
Im yoruba and I have never been to the East since I have no busness there.
If there was an enabling enviroment there do you think I wouldn't have considered coming. Dangote, Otedola, Mike Adenuga cant come to develop in that region because you guys are retrogresive. Yets still you will complain on what you use your hand to destry .And instead of developing you guys once again abadon ship to attach to other regions then you will start calling your host parasites.
Lagos should not be your focal point. It should be FCT Abuja
its all about lagos. I have never been to anywhere in the west apart from lagos. I live in enugu...my whole family lives in enugu. We come to lagos because of sea port and air ports. These are fg responsibilities. I have never seen an igbo man based in oyo state. Lagos was capital for 76 years 1914-1990. Abj has only been capital for 28 years. With time lagos will lose its influence to ph and abj....and with the many anti-igbo rhetorics we hear these days about lagos, it will soon be like ibadan

Guy honestly no insults here. You can start now. Igbo states have autonomy to manage thier resources. You can see how Lagos is run as a model examplw. Other states too can do this. The end results is that it will attract investors and new residence.
Its just that the igbo govs are too greedy and selfish to think of rhe masses in SE and thats why in my opinion igbos abandon the place for greener pasture.

So my question is this...
if and ordinary state cannot be successfully run by igbos, then how will they successfully run a country
yorubas and always mentioning lagos. Do u think its possible lagos is how it is today simply because it was fct for donkey years?

Pray tell why is ondo osun ekiti kwara oyo not even as beautiful as enugu not to talk of lagos?

The Ijaws love the way we do not have control of the sea. If we gain access, we become too powerful to control. Will they love to release the land to the igbos, I seriously doubt the possibility.

What is our best shot? Can we lure the less aggressive Efiks, annangs and oron (Akwa ibom) to a round table and discuss business with them. They get to control the oil/gas and sea access and all other assets they might have. We can even tell them that they will be given a Lagos status. We can also rouse their emotions by using the last Biafran president, Phillip effiong to show that they can still rule the entity Biafra.

If they are smart, they will know that they are actually solving a real problem for 40million people who are heavily business conscious and they will never be poor with such realities.

Why am I running away from Ikwerre enclaves? Ijaws are nursing leadership of the Niger delta in their hearts and it will be very difficult for them to start losing territory that will make dem smaller. They will not agree with us. Opobo as we all know answer to ijaws in the state, so we cannot agree any terms with opobo without first getting the ijaws in line.

We can agree with the federal government to cede Rivers for Akwa ibom state. Since no real investment from the federal government in the state unlike Rivers, they will fight less.

If you really know Rivers state and her geographical map, you'd have know that after Port Harcourt, what you have down south is water and swamp. Ikwerres own the usable land in Rivers state, the rest beneath us is just water and swamp.

Ask yourself why didnt the British build a port down in Ijawlands. Why do they have to site it in PH. Simple answer, the land down to the sea is useless. Period.
i used blue to shade rivers port. Look at that water and tell me the dufference between it and the river that flows into abia state...shaded with green

Plus...the only reason the british built a port in ikwerre land and not in ijaw land is because they thought ikwerre land was part of igboland and they had a poliy of allowing majority tribes to control political and economic power. Of course we know ikwerre started being non-igbo after the war

comparing the igbos with ikwerre is like comparing Africa with little madagascar.

The only reason ikwerre is mentioned in igbo discussions is because u lots answer igbo names and many igbo errornously thought u guys as brothers. Have u ever heard igbos mention ejeagham in a discussion? Are ikwerres larger or richer than them?

Not when the rivers are shared by nations. Look at Europe. Also look at International laws on rivers shared by multiple nations. In fact Obaku port own will be the easiest case because of its closeness to the sea. Let the others groups try to stop vessels trying to stop at obaku port and see if they wont lose the land that they are trying to hold on to. It will be a disaster for them trying to mess with Igbos.
thats not true. Somalia has closed many times the river that south sudan uses. The niger river in nigeria is 100% owned by nigeria. The one in ghana is 100% owned by ghana.

If oil is discovered in lokoja river niger today, it will be owned 100% by nigeria

Our last resort should be a river port. Rivers are owned by the countries they flow tru.

That is why nigeria gives ghana people electricity....to stop them from daming their portion of the niger.

We should only resort to our rivers if everything we do to have direct access to the sea fails.
