As at 1988, the Ogudu G.R.A you see today was mostly farmland where many lgbo and Calabar families who lived in Ojota were farming their cassava, yam and ugu. Palm wine tappers were a common sight back then. Where the Ogudu police station is now located is where pupils from the different public schools used to gather to fight on Fridays!

You really know the history of this area. O. 1988? I was still a baby then. Good they turned your fighting ground to a p/station to fight the fighters

My family happens to be one of the first set of non-yorubas to live in Ojota when it was more of a forest and people did make fun of my parents for living in a 'village' as they fetched water at a stream from the present Ogudu G.R.A!

Na wa o. Everywhere was once a forest. Now see the whole ogudu road with no space again.

Just relax. At this stage,they wake up almost every hour to eat. It will start reducing gradually. My son is almost 3months and he wakes up just once to eat unlike the days of 7-8times.

when I got to about 6cm a nurse came and asked if I have been able to pee and I said no, she left and came back after like 15mins and asked the same question. I told her I felt pressed twice and went to toilet but nothing came out , it was then she decided to check me o, only to bring out thick clotted blood. she called the doc and he said I had placenta abruption and in order to save the baby I had to do Cs. my hubby dint want to accept initially so he requested for a scan to know the extent of the placenta abruptio. scan showed that babys breathing was fast so I hd to be placed on oxygen.at this point I was not feeling my baby's movement again and I was loosing blood Ehn. see the whole floor full of blood despite the fact that I wore pad and tied wrapper. that how hubby agreed o and Cs was done. thank God my baby was brought out alive and I also recovered well to the glory of God.
was told I could not be induced cuz my dilation was very good.

Glory be to God. Hope you are now used to the vigilante? I'm also home alone with my son but things has really changed now@3 months. He wakes up just once to eat in the midnight not like then when he wakes up like 6-7times before day break.

Why do you want to make your baby big?at birth my baby was 2.4kg and at almost 11weeks he weighed 7.1kg. Just pray for the best,eat well, sleep well and the most important thing,relax your mind. It will surely end in praise

Alright mamas,let me first of all thank these mamas for their encouragements: lovinam, modath, beedam, euphorbia, ifefunmi & others, u're all wonderful.

Here's my birthstory- I went for antenantal on Saturday,I did my scan & ctg after that I was told I would be admitted that same day that I should go & bring my load. So I went back home & prepared myself then returned to the hospital around 8.30pm. They inserted the catheter to rippen my cervix,then removed the catheter the following morning. Then they inserted misoprostol tablet(not so sure of the spelling) & started the inducement process, I didn't feel any contraction until about 3pm, by 4pm I was already 4cm & in an active stage of labour then around 8pm i was checked & surprisingly i was already 9cm but the devil wanted to struck. I was already 9cm but dr could not feel the baby's head,his head was still up. So they rup. Beggred my membrane & added oxytocin to the drip,before then i had vomitted like 2 times then i vomitted again. It was when they added the oxytocin i started begging the drs to please help me, the pain was so unbearable, til
l 9pm baby's head has still not come down & I was in serious pain. Then around 9.30pm I was feeling the urge to poo & I started shouting that I wanted to poo by then the baby's head had already descended. When they checked me & saw it was the baby's head & quickly moved me to the delivery room around . I was asked to push, then they discovered that there's a cord around baby's neck, then they gave me a cut & with one strong push my baby came out around 9.45pm. All this while, it was the cord that didn't allow the baby's head to descend. Baby weighed 3.25kg, they sewed me up & that took like another 45mins,mehn it's not easy. I just thank God that the devil's plan over our lives did not succeed. Up till now I can't sit down well o with this stitch, so painful............make una no vex for my long story o

So happy for you. Long story ke? Was expecting it to be in episodes like mine . How is Godwin doing? Try and sit well o. Don't hang your bum,although its a very painful thing but before you know it,its gone.

I was given a small amount t of Vaseline mixed with penicillin in the hospital. It has healed up now tho but not completely dried. Thank you so much.

Yes. Pls after the ring as fallen off, is there anything I need to be doing? And again despite that the ring as fallen off he still feels pains. Is it normal?

Apply penicillin ointment but I don't think he should still be feeling pain. My son stopped feeling any pain the next day.

@lovinam@modath ,is it not better I take castor oil now than waiting to be induced,I've been given sun as induction date & I'm so skeptical about it,I've started taking ewedu +the long walks but nothing yet only menstrual cramps,waist pain & abdominal pain that goes off & on

Dearie,even though I did I will advise you not to because you still have a lot of time till Sunday. This week just started nah. It will happen before Sunday. Have faith and don't fear

Being ttc for 4years now, tookin last year but miscarried at 7weeks it was so painful, being trying since then but something tells me I'm pregnant again... Please wonderful mamas please remember me in your prayer cos im married to one and only heir...also pray for all the ttc mamas in Nairaland.

Sorry about your loss. I believe God has done it and this will surely be permanent by his grace. Amen
