IamtheDef:This dollar decline is the reason why Swiss franc is regarded as the world most stable currency to save your money in. However, the best investment you can make with USD not USDT oooo but USD, is buying dollar mutual funds or Euro bond (if you lucky to get any secondary market on this). Or convert the dollars to Naira and buy land (fence and and secure it) Or buy precious metals ETF especially gold etf. |
IamtheDef:lol Good afternoon Chief. This investment strategy thing ehh is one thing that sometimes bends one imagination. Sometimes it works like black holes, you will think you know physics and all the laws of physics but when you get to the event horizons of black holes, then you will realize that every laws of physics just stops working. Sometimes investment strategy can be like that. |
EquityM:Na the risk gan gan, na him be the issue. If it wasn't risky and volatile, I would have taught my strategy on YouTube but Naaa. Safe investment is what I preach. Make person no go get high BP because he/she invest money lol |
EquityM:fortunes lol Sometimes I win them, sometimes they win me or sometimes we play draw. I have won this morning round.

EquityM:I'm good chief. Cr ypto is really taking more of my time lately, Now that BT C is bearish, I'm focused on taking advantage of the bear market to buy futures contracts and short most alt coins and milk them dry for profit. Trust the weather is bearable over there? |
Niiade:Brilliant suggestion but the only hole i see in this is MMF investment will lose compounding effect power if she does this over time essentially turning MMF to basic savings account when she keeps moving the returns into equity (eventhough she isn't sure of the long term outlook of the stock market), we all speculating here. In that ten years, MPR might be hiked again, people will move funds from Stocks back to MMF and ASI might dip due to that, will you now suggest she move the money back into MMF (of course that a loss after the dip). Key point to consider is — Equity is suppose to grow money and MMF is meant to compound money so you will always lose when you rob Peter to pay Paul. |
IamtheDef:what changed is; everybody is a good trader/investor during the bull season, every trade is a sweet trade during the bull season, every market conviction/prediction is right in the bull season well until reality hit during the bear season. |
LoriHamo:I really don't have a clear picture of your daughter's fund but let's go with the 5 million plus 10 years duration. How would I invest that 5 million? 2 million goes to MMF (To compound over time regardless of rate + emergency fund) 2 Million goes to Equity fund (sure growth in that 10years) 1 million goes to Bond heavy investment like Afrivest NIDF via cowrywise or invest with Afrivest directly. With this structure — Imagine the returns after 10 years. Keep in mind, this will be a different setup if we not investing for 10 years duration. My assumption for this set up is based on the fact that you investing 5 million for your daughter for 10 years. |
LoriHamo:please in as much as Equity investment is sweet now. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. The economy moves in seesaw pattern with MMF VS Equity/Bond, so it will be smart to plant your seed everywhere. Don't uproot from one completely to plant in a new one rather plant everywhere, in due time, you will enjoy the dividend/fruit from all investment. |
LoriHamo:Mama, I study the way you write, you will likely be a jovial person in real life. You always add a touch of humor in everything you try to get across, what a pure heart. Well done and happy investing, Abasi mi mbok |
Luxury or not. Death is the only equalizer. So the perfect grave stone message should read: "You, who is standing by my grave; don't look so shocked at this sight. Yesterday I was just like you, and tomorrow you will be just like me." |

david4mex:If it was before, I would suggest you stick with the top 3 biggest which are; Stanbic, United Capital and FBN. But with the new knowledge I have of how lazy some of these fund managers can be, taking advantage of their huge fund to earn from margin spread instead of doing the real hard work for investors to earn more, I will suggest you treat all of them like stocks. Keep rotating your money amongst them hunting for the one that pays the highest returns per quarter. One thing I have come to notice of late is; when an asset management manages fund across many investments, their mutual funds tends to suffer because they don't pay more attention to it. |
alterego17:I trade foreign stocks using Bamboo app but mutual funds (foreign or local) can't be bought on Bamboo. |
oiganji09:I don't don't know for piggy but CardinalStone is open ended fund meaning you can terminate your investment at anytime, however, your interest will not be paid in full, if you quit the investment before the first 90 days of investment. Just like MMF does. |
Salarys:No wahala Sir. |
Salarys:I'm so sorry to break the news to you after going through these screenshots you posted. They truly don't have the volume. Check the volume. You can go in, make all the whole millions and billions but when you ready to exit the market, if no one buys from you. You will sell at a discounted price or you won't exit the market. No wonder, ETFs doesn't get talked about and doesn't excite Nigerians. |
Salarys:Please check again. They might be doing crazy numbers but this is definitely not YTD. Check for individual ETF YTD for last year. |

I have seen these complaints you have just posted. But c'mon, things like this happen and which Is fixable provided a customer representative attended to your ticket, even commercial banks gets compliants on their X page. Most people who uses Cowrywise here on Nairaland don't usually have complaints however that doesn't mean issues don't happen, the key thing to look out for is how quickly and responsive the customer support attend to your ticket. So if you plagued with fear. Just stay off cowrywise and ask around for any other asset management firm that no one ever encounter any issue on. |
Promptlyn:I suggest you copy the complaint and post here to understand what the complaint was all about. Cowrywise funding is quick and seamless. I have never had any issues that necessitates me to reach out to their customer support but their customer support is very responsive and they are very active on X(Twitter) as well in case you have any complaint. Secondly, Cowrywise has their own MMF with their own rate. Now think of cowrywise as a store that help sell other assets managers MMF to the public. They have Afrivest MMF, united capital MMF, Trustbanc MMF etc. All you need do is just pick anyone you wish to invest in (Trustbanc is preferable for now) and click the buy button to buy the unit of MMF you wish to buy. This is too basic to make a video about. Just install the app and play around with it and come back to read everything I have written here. You will quickly understand how it works. It's just as easy to navigate as putting mouth on the bress but somehow, you will eventually find the niiipple. |
What you should get is hydrogen peroxide 3% for home use. Pour little inside your ear hold the place up for close to 10 minutes. Do that morning and night. It will kill the bacteria in there and fight off any infection and debris blockage. Hydrogen peroxide cost about 15k now. |
Salarys:I will suggest you track their YTD percent for last year and compare with all Equity Mutual funds EquityM has been suggesting. If it beat them, then you can take a shot at it but if those other Equity mutual funds performance beat it, you are off investing in the Equity mutual fund instead. |
milliondollarma:They don't need send any code since you activated authenticator code. Just copy the code from your authenticator code and paste it there. |
Promptlyn:One thing for sure, you will soon get poached by referral code hunters to help you invest via their direct link which is legit but let me give you some tips first. Mutual funds is like you saving your money and earning interest daily both on weekends and holidays. It's safe and whichever Asset management firm that get pitched to you here is legit. Secondly, mutual funds enable compounding meaning, your 10Million will compound a whole lot but then again, that's you really preserving and growing wealth while you sleep with both eyes close. Now this is me suggesting not invest all 10 million into mutual funds, maybe 7 Million and invest 3 million into fixed income fund especially that of CardinalStone fixed income fund alpha. You will be glad you did after MMF rates dips later in the year. However, if you decide you want to go all in into mutual funds with the 10 million, split it in 2 and invest 5M in Cowrywise Trustbanc mutual funds and the other 5M into Stanbic Why? Stanbic compound monthly but MMF via cowrywise enable moving fund around within the app to buy the MMF with the highest rate in the event that rate change by different MMF providers on the cowrywise app. Trust me, I can bet you, if you let yourself to be talked into investing all your money into one asset management, you will come back here later to ask question like: "Guys, how can I sign up with Cowrywise?" I also have YouTube channel that can further open your eyes to other types of safe investment, Disregard stocks in the channel, you still a newbie. https:///www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLelyzjGuxrbj-ORzfwOEveV2vK0j1e3fw |
