Education / Re: Amosun Sacks Workers For Setting ‘offensive’ Exam Questions - PUNCH by beetruth: 7:27am On Aug 13, 2015
What is the nation turning into? The comprehension was culled from an article which is no offence. Must be the stated obvious truth staring them in the face which they should learn from but chose to sack true educationist from thier source of livelihood. What a shame to democracy and A total disgrace to change. Are the schools not supposed to be paid running expenses? Are the students not supposed to be assessed at the end of each term? God will so judge the wicked souls destroying the future of this nation. They are practically ruining the system simply came they care more about ways to loot the system than truly offer good dividends of democracy to the masses.

Every man to his own conscience and opinion. How sure are you that he has ever collected a dime to say out his beliefs. Grow up pls and get a life.

The more thread you dullards open the more popular you make him. It was simply because of some of your senseless posts and insults that made me research about buhari and GEJ and made my desicion of believing more in Gej than the one chance voted in.

How low can this man go to justify his financial recklessness and bad decisions. He is the worst financial administrator osun has even got. The signs were all over for The drop in allocations so a smart being will either save for the rainy days or device other means of generating funds to service but what did he do- he started with change of name from osun state to state of osun thereby wasted money changing signages all over the state, went to feed kids whose kids are able and alive, can feed thier ward's if things thrived in the state but which he slashed drastically thier means of livelihood e.g. the uniform sellers along station road and the petty tailors on almost every street in the state and brought in his own Sam n Sara to produce uniform for all pupils across the state at a more expensive rate on the bottom line. Also affected is the petty raw food producers and sellers in the market who made less sales due to ofeed. To worsen the whole situation after embarking on unnecessary projects to gain cheap popularity with the illiterates/semi literates in the states he went to white elephant projects initiated with humongous debts from several banks thereby reducing drastically the state allocations once it gets in as bank loans must be serviced.
Posterity will judge cause you saw the signs yet in your stubbornness embarked on irrelevant projects which on the bottomline gave him cuts and now the state lives from hand to mouth with most workers in huge debts and little or nothing to feed on anymore.
Someone pls advice this man to be quiet as his sayings are rubbing pepper into fresh wounds created by him. #No Jonathan to blame again. Enough of the Propanganda and lies or has he no shame?

If this people are really Osun workers
1. How did they get transport fare from Osun to Ota
2. Wouldn't that transport fare be enough to feed for at least a week?
3. If they are so poor, how come they all look so well dressed and well fed?

This is pure propaganda, i am not in support of Aregbesola, but if a man of God must help Osun workers, let him help the real workers and not this unneccessary pubicity stunt.

The church is a branch of winners chapel located in the central part of osogbo. It is no propaganda. Pls pray along and stop looking for faults where none exist. The church has done very and should be commended.

Seriously, the government is trying so hard to pay the workers. He has paid all workers last year debt. He will soon start paying them for this year as well. Do u expect him to pay workers with the money he didn't have.

Besides, the last time I check, benue and kogi still owe their workers more than osun do

Why the excuses for failure? Why the lies? What about the pensioners? Don't they Have the right to be paid? Paying Dec 2014 salary in june 2015 is what you call try? I speak of what I know off and will not senselessly compare this state with other states after all it should be an example for other states to emulate being a state controlled by a top change agent. So where is the change Did he not at a time boast of being able to pay salaries without federal allocation Pls lets learn to call a spade a spade so we can at least learn to crawl towards a change.
Fire fire thank you for your care. Pls keep in prayers as this is out of human intervention as they tend to have paid agents everywhere to continue to preach their propaganda. And one who tend to act superior is handed over to the creator to handle. Shalom

God bless you richly. You have said it all.
To me he is a wicked curse on osun state. A well known peaceful neat civil servant state now littered with abandoned projects

quote author=KinglyDescent post=34747252]

Heaven bless you for educating those sympathizers who think Osun state was singled out. They probably didn't know that the methods that aregbesola carved for himself are actually what is working against him at the moment.
Aregbesola Singled-Out Himself from the Outset. He lives in the fantasy of assumed power, throwing his feather weight everywhere around the country and he is 'popular' truly. It is only a natural Normal-Bell-Curve thingy manifesting suçh that even an unborn foetus know for a fact that Aregbesola is the most INFAMOUS governor in Nigeria Now!

1. Aregbesola likes to be seen as 'All-knowing', 'Only-Performer' person.
2. Aregbesola announced in his inaugural speech in 2010 that his governance style will be 'an unusual government'. its actually unusual afterall..
3. He displays rather ignorantly a very high distate for good long standing heritage and Order without a deep understanding of their purpose and the dire consequences if such goodly heritage and systems are violated.

* He is the only Governor that changed the name of the state and its appellage ( State of Osun) -an offence which really is tantamount to treason. He portrayed Osun as a Sovereign independent entity in Nigeria especially to some foreign Arab countries and obtained large financial aids in form of loans which have repayment conditions that are very daunting.→The Origin of his woes!

*There was serious Capital (money) flight in his first tenure. Apparently Jagaban was the principal recipient.
* He embarked on many gigantic white elephant projects out of which only a handful after 4yrs managed to reach 45% completion, the same projects he supposedly went aborrowing for.

Education is worst Hit by his unusual style.
* He is the only governor that said ALL government secondary schools should wear universal school uniform. Students now commit grave crimes without means of identification which school they are from since they ALL put on same uniform throughout the state (meanwhile he got a lagos-based designer to do that, sold an inferior fabric at exorbitant rate to the poor pupils and He criminalised any trader who attempt to sell that uniform).

* He is the only governor that did school reclassification (American grade system) and did NOT buy a single textbook but promoted his Son's (Kabiru) Knowledge Tab idea - The popular opon imo is the dumbest fraud any governor will attempt in recent times.

* Rather ironically Aregbes in his usual love for propaganda, in 2012, was quick to affiliate the Best WAEC result in the whole of West Africa to his administration simply because the candidate is from Osogbo.
Most Nigerians didn't know the candidate was trained in Catholic Private School.

As for omojuwa japhet, he's doing what he's paid to do.
Ignorant Omojuwa doesnt know that Aregbesola Demolished the biggest Secondary School in Osun State, Sold the property to Tinubu who intends to get the land used as Shopping Mall (you dont want to snoop on the history of Shoprite Alausa).

Fakunle Comprehensive High School Osogbo was the best Secondary School in Osun State in the 90s and was one of the best in old Oyo state. Its over a year since the school was destroyed by Aregbesola, and the site? -a monumental waste.

Omojuwa is always proud to tweet about being an old boy of Kings College especially during their founder's day when Boys, Men, Old Pas and GrandPas of KCOBA come together and reflect on the past that connected all of them on their respective paths in life.
Omojuwa didn't know that if Kings College by whatever action, inaction or mishaps had been destroyed or ceased to be by 1959 (founded 1909), He (Omojuwa) would have been already denied even before his own existence the opportunity to be part of what will eventually become a legacy or heritage of some sort.

FCHS Osogbo was going to be 50yrs in 2015 but it is no more. It's blurted out of history. Fakunle was more than a School, it represented a Solid symbol of education and enlightenment. Every primary school pupil wanted to have a feel... even the teachers.

Aregbesola invited the spotlight on himself long before now.
He is now a victim of his own 'Compensatory Mechanism'. He thrived on Lies and it was only a matter of time before his government became exposed especially when FG is also a victim of his cheap lies.

Wahalaaa deeee fun Ogbeni Aregbesola!!! Apparently worried about the rate at
which the Rauf Aregbesola’s All
Progressives Congress (APC)
government in Osun State has
obtained loans from financial
institutions, the Bankers Forum in
the state has declared that no more
loans will be granted to the
government.
Sources revealed that the Bankers
Forum met in Osogbo a few days ago
and decided to place embargo on
loans to Aregbesola’s government.
The Forum further resolved that “any
money that comes from anywhere to
any of the banks should be seized
and converted to loan repayment.”
The source, which refused to give
further details on the meeting said,
the events of last week (PDP rally)
have further heightened anxiety of
the bankers. Aregbesola had
admitted borrowing N41 billion from
the capital market, but failed to
disclose the state’s indebtedness to
First Bank, Zenith Bank,
Infrastructure Bank, Sterling Bank,
etc. The governor did not also
mention the total amount he had
forced each local council in the state
to borrow, which sources put at
N100 billion per local government,
and the over N250 billion that he
used contractors to borrow on behalf
of the state. Sources revealed that
the sum of N60 billion bond was
raised from the capital market; N25
billion loan was taken from First
Bank Plc; N2.5 billion from Sterling
Bank (to be paid back with Sure-P
funds at N100 million per month till
2016); and about N5 billion from
Zenith Bank.
Apart from the above listed loans,
listed below are mindboggling
details of other frivolous loans taken
by the state government in the last
three years. First Bank Plc gave out
a loan of N8.6 billion to Rauf
Aregbesola as a governor. The
purpose was to offset a loan
collected from the United Bank for
Africa (UBA) on March 9, 2011
payable within 72 months (six years).
First Bank Plc. also granted another
N3.2 billion on July 30, 2011,
payable within 72 months (six years)
to fund road projects and other
government expenditures. Wema
Bank

I find it very hard to believe he said this Wow. So he could still score himself high in this state. Ha! I will tell you the truth. Sir, you have failed woefully. Open your eyes clearly and see the f9 on your score card. You have failed to provide the basic human amenities (food, clothing and shelter) to osun state. You have squandered the limited resources on less priorities. If what use are your completed and uncompleted projects when workers can't get their daily meals. Of what use is your opon imo when the cannot pay their healthbills. Of what use is the fake uniform you provided when their parents cannot afford to buy them even used clothes to wear after school or what is the use when they cannot even walk with their heads high in the street when the have to hide their heads from people they borrowed from. Some have died while some are on their dying bed or contemplating suicide yet you open your mouth to blame the opposition?? Signs of oil drop didn't not come over night neither the drop in oil price fall sudden. The signs were there but you chose to squander on projects you make money from and leave millions of people affected. Your creator is your judge and scorer. He sees all and will one day judge each and every one of us and before then your sowings will produce and pray it comes soon enough so you can reap fully this same coin you paid out to the masses. I sensed his cruelty when he started to change the state's name from osun state to state of osun and wasted money in just change of signposts all through the state. Of what use now is the opon imo when the teachers to make these students understand has been made to live in penury after working tirelessly. And i dont blame this bad and cruel administrator but the illiterates who are penny wise but pound foolish or how do one explain one who losses his source of income such as the uniform traders along station road in osogbo of which uniform costed less than N200 per yard with little income for a free uniform for their ward which barely lasted a session and because of N100 per day at most they could have given their ward to feed to cost so many people hardship. Now pensioners are just dying like fowls and present workers and their family feeding from hand to mouth and so many debts incurred. Posterity will judge you Mr Aregbe. Were the promises only intended as carrots to mislead the people and deceitfully win their votes after which they are dumped?” the PDP queried.
The party said the in-coming administration should stop contriving excuses and understand that Nigerians expect nothing short of the fulfillment of its campaign promises in its four years rule, especially given that the solid foundation for wealth creation has already been laid by the PDP, which also remained truthful and honest in making promises to the people during the campaigns.
