Ishilove: What is the significance of this foreign and absolutely useless tradition? Not much significance. Just the belief that having something that belongs to the bride brings good luck. @topic; I can't help but laugh at certain users on here. Shouting "bush" and "losing hope" because some users are ignorant about a foreign culture. Some are even feeling all high and mighty explaining it These people don't give a **** about your culture and they sure wouldn't feel so important for knowing it. Inferiority complex is a... |

Celebrities › Re: Nigerian Men Prefer Fair Women - Actress Susan Maxwell by Begonia(m): 4:09pm On May 06, 2015 |
Ihuomadinihu: Hey guys, the term Black is beautiful was not coined by Africans and it's not applicable to Africans/Nigeria. It is applicable to blacks in the diaspora because they had to overcome the plague of racism as a result of darker skin colour in America. In Africa which is populated by black people, different shades of skin colours range from high yellow to dark skin colour. All of these skin tones are natural to Africa,if you wish to alter your skin tone cos of insecurity that is your business. Black is beautiful does not mean that only dark people are beautiful. It is a validity code to reinstate that all black shades are beautiful and you should be comfortable in your skin. Very sensible comment. I don't know where people got the impression that "black is beautiful" equates to "only dark skin is beautiful." I also don't know why this thread has to result in bashing of light skin/ fair ladies by some people. A person that's beautiful is beautiful irrespective of skin colour and it's shade. Anyway, I'm guessing this is just an internet thing. In the Nigeria I remember, no one has time to sit and be discussing skin colour or it's different shades. |

Just like the users above said, this is the reason why people shouldn't get married based on physical attractiveness. In my opinion, love isn't even a good enough reason to get married. Sure, it's important but it's a very weak foundation for marriage 'cause it's a capricious emotion. Essential values are necessary so that when that emotion withers there'll still be so much more to keep the couple standing strong. |

@op; this doesn't make any sense because a girl asking for money to make her hair would definitely collect it all. |
