helinues: I keep on wondering why our SE brothers are hell bent in abusing, cursing Tinubu daily as if he has ever governed your region. The last time he held any political office was in 2003.
Why are you hating on Jagaban of Africa? Is Lagos now part of SE states? Is hating Tinubu going to bring development to your region even after championing the poorest region in Southern Nigeria.
What's the business of Abeokuta man with the events in Anambra? How does happenings in Imo state affect Ondo man?
You are busy calling Tinubu as a corrupt man while your people have been celebrating about Kalu's latest judgement
You people attitude have caused your region a lot .
Hating Tinubu or Yoruba will only worsening the current situation you guys are..
Abi, are you guys no longer part of Nigeria that you have already chickening out of 2023 race...
Mind your region and let us mind ours. Enough of Tinubu this, Osinbajo that, Yoruba those..
As usual, I am expecting your bashing which changes nothing.. Why won't they hate tinibu so much are you a foriegner didn't u witness the way his thugs maltreated and prevented the igbos in lagos from performing their constitutional right of casting their votes for the candidate of their choice during the last general elections? Even the igbos in the core north didn't had it all that bad from the hausa/fulanis. |

Ravon: Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State on Wednesday said the state’s palm oil-producing industry, ADAPALM, could employ about 35,000 people if fully revived.
The governor said this while on an inspection visit to the palm oil industry to have an on-the-spot assessment of the state of affairs in the industry.
He said the industry if revived, would help the state government in facilitating industrial growth, harmony, expansion and increased productivity.
Mr Uzodinma said he was happy that production had resumed once again at ADAPALM and that 120 tonnes of Grade A palm oil was being produced daily.
He said that placing ADAPALM in its rightful place would boost the Internally Generated Revenue of the state.
He said the company was a value chain that could produce not only palm oil but also other oil-related products like margarine, sheer butter and palm kernel oil, among others.
The governor said: “We are committed to bringing ADAPALM back to the stream. It’s one of our greatest hopes of surviving the post-COVID-19 era.
“The economy is almost becoming epileptic. We have to look inward to see how best we can restructure our economy, boost Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and then ensure that our citizenry is also busy.”
SOURCE: https://brandspurng.com/2020/05/09/imo-state-government-moves-to-revive-adapalm-plantation-photos/ If all the useless former governors have worked on this huge palm oil farm to revive it to what it used to be imo state would have not been affected during this days of low crude oil prices. Palm oil is currently higher than crude oil in the market I couldn't believe my eyes the day a visited this adapalm at ohaji that place is supposed to be a very huge means of generating igr for imo if properly put to good use. |

2gbasky22: Governor Nyesom Wike on Friday rewarded Rumuigbo community, Obio Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers state with N5 million for providing information which resulted in the arrest of trucks, cattle, and passengers who sneaked into Port Harcourt in breach of the state’s COVID-19 restriction orders. The Governor in a Friday broadcast on state of his administration’s fight against coronavirus also vented frustration on perceived Federal Government (FG) and security agents sabotage of efforts at containing the pandemic in the state.
He said, “I commend Rumuigbo community vigilante for rising to the challenge, as any responsible community should do, by intercepting a lorry-load of livestock with 50 persons who illegally entered the State in violation of the lockdown orders. For this show of courage and patriotism, the State Government will reward the Rumuigbo with N5,000,000” On perceived sabotage of Rivers State’s efforts, he said, “It’s imperative to alert the world that a dangerous escalation of COVID-19 pandemic in Rivers looms large in our horizon due largely to hypocrisy of the FG and continuous willful sabotage by security agencies.
“While we cannot overstate the gravity of our present predicament, nobody should be surprised should Rivers witness exponential increases in infection and spread of COVID-19 in days and weeks ahead as we begin intense testing. “Our borders continue to experience serial sabotage by security operatives who allow, in some cases, personally aid persons with risky COVID-19 status into the State.
“The extent of sabotage has been such that, even a Deputy Commissioner of Police unilaterally appropriated powers to illegally issue movement pass to individuals, companies indiscriminately in utter contempt and violation of the lockdown orders of the State. “From all indications, no matter what we do or try to do to fight this battle, it is becoming clear by each day that those forces bent on forcing COVID-19 pandemic on our State are not willing to cease their evil plot and intentions.”
On the toll his restriction orders take on the Rivers populace, he appreciated the “overwhelming majority for complying with the Stay at Home and Stay Safe orders, including temporary closure of business outfits and activities throughout the State. “Quite, unfortunately, some residents have chosen to selves and the public at risk of infection with an irresponsible show of disobedience to our restrictions on human and vehicular movements during the lockdown.
“While we appreciate the intervention and plea of clemency from well-meaning Rivers citizens, it is our position not to condone any sentiments on this matter because of the seriousness of the situation.” He affirmed that vehicles, whose owners have been convicted for violation of the Covid-19 orders with ownership already forfeited to the State will be duly auctioned by Deputy Sheriff of the State High Court. “Unfortunately, despite our determined efforts, the State recorded three new cases, bringing our total confirmed COVID-19 infections to 17 as at the 7th of May 2020.”
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/05/lockdown-wike-splashes-n5m-on-community-which-reported-unlawful-entry-of-cattle-bearers-into-port-harcourt/ As long as state governors in Nigeria don't have the constitutional powers over their commissioner of police and other security outfits in their states governor wike will find it extremely difficult to stop the influx of northerners into rivers state. Northern police officers and army personnel that are manning the borders will continue to sabotage all the efforts of gov. wike. |

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State. Orders trial, test 14 cattle bearers for Coronavirus By Egufe Yafugborhi GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike has ordered the prosecution of 14 persons who moved cattle from Adamawa State into Port Harcourt in breach of Rivers State borders closure and lockdown of Port Harcourt and Obio Akpor Local Government Areas in the fight against Coronavirus. Wike also ordered auction of the cattle and the two trucks in which they were being conveyed after intercepting them at Rumuigbo, Obio Akpor LGA in the wee hours of Friday. Wike monitors lockdown, commends Rivers people for compliance Wike said: “This fight has nothing to do with individuals. The law must take its course. Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor are under lockdown and the law must be obeyed. The trailers and the cows will be auctioned tomorrow. “You heard them saying they gave money to security agencies before they were allowed to cross the border. The owner of the cattle on the phone admitted they have fallen short of the law” He further directed the State Ministry of Health to conduct tests on the 14 persons to ascertain their Coronavirus status
. The Governor said he got wind of their movement on intelligence gathered from “well-meaning Nigerians”, but did not confirm if the informant would get the N100,000 reward he earlier promised for whistleblowers over breach of the state Covid-19 restrictions. Meanwhile, A Mobile Court sitting at the Covid-19 Elekahia Isolation Centre in Port Harcourt has convicted 170 defaulters of the lockdown imposed by Rivers State Government on Port Harcourt City and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas (LGAs) to contain Coronavirus. The offenders were Thursday dragged to the court by Office of the Attorney General of Rivers for alleged breach of Executive Order RVSG 06 2020 which imposes the lockdown, prohibiting human and vehicular movement in the Port Harcourt metropolis.

TheGodlessGod: I've seen some ignorant threads and post about landlocked issues in Nigeria and it's a Shame many nigerians don't know the meaning of landlocked.
Yorubas.ijaws.iskhkeri.akwa cross(ibibio, etc) are the only Ethnic groups with access to sea.
Rivers, bayelsa, Delta, ondo,Lagos, ogun, akwa ibom and cross river state are the only state with directaccess with to sea What is all this noise in nairaland of who is landlocked and who have access to the seas all about? With all the access to the seas and all the huge natural resources at the advantage of Nigeria as a soverign state for over 60yrs what has it achieved? Nigeria is still largely underdeveloped and is still ranked as the poverty capital of the whole world. If access to the seas and oceans is what makes a country to be a first world nation then countries like Gabon, Gambia, Seychelles, Togo,Mauritania etc would have since been in the league of developed nations. I strongly believe that what makes a country great and developed is the quality of the human resources that is available to it and not any access to the seas or even natural resources. The failed country called Nigeria is a very good example to illustrate this point even the Nigerian state knows this that's simply why they have refused to allow the industrious igbos to leave the Nigerian forced union. Apart from access to the seas and crude oil and gas deposits what else can the yoruba and the ijaw nations confidently boast of as a people? |

Explorers: Venezuelan security forces lead one of the men arrested on Monday for reportedly participating in a plan to kill President Maduro and topple his socialist government with help from the United States and Colombia.
Maduro ally and Attorney General Tarek William Saab said in a press conference (pictured) that in total they've arrested 114 people suspected in the attempted attack and they are on the hunt of 92 others.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) led a campaign to oust Maduro, indicting the socialist leader as a narco-trafficker and offering a $15 million reward for his arrest in March.

Politics › Re: COVID-19: 'Arewa Leaders Exporting Infected Almajiris To South-east' - IPOB. by Bekool(m): 4:09pm On May 05, 2020 |
Masterclass32: The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Monday, accused northern leaders of exporting coronavirus from Kano State to southeastern states.
IPOB alleged that Arewa leaders were secretly sending COVID-19 infected patients under the guise of repatriating almajiris to the southeast.
A statement signed by IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful, maintained that the culture of almajiris was alien to Igbo culture.
The separatist group warned that it won’t allow such because the Southeast is alien to almajiri culture.
IPOB wondered why almajiris were repatriated to Enugu State.
The statement reads: “We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wish to draw the attention of Biafrans and the world at large over the ploy by some Northern elements to export coronavirus from its Kano epicenter to other parts of Nigeria particularly Biafra land. Those behind this evil plot are currently pursuing its actualisation under the guise of repatriation of almajiris to their home states.
“It is a known fact that Biafra has no almajiri as that is not our culture. Why then are those behind the sending of almajiri boys to Enugu doing so if not to infest Biafrans with COVID-19? No almajiri is of Biafra origin. Why then are they being sent to Enugu? IPOB won’t accept despatching of almajiri boy to Enugu or any part of Biafra land. “Arewa north dominated by Fulani has been secretly sending Coronavirus patients in the name of sending out their alamajiri group to Enugu state since the lockdown started. Some of those almajiri sent to Enugu State but intercepted by security agents were tested and found positive of COVID-19 pandemic . Dispatching almajiri to our land under any guise will not be accepted. We shall stoutly resist this move.
“It is no longer hidden that coronavirus pandemic (COVID19) is currently ravaging Kano and other parts of the North. Instead of locking down to stem the spread as was done by all states in Biafra land, Northern leaders opened their borders and allowed free movement of their people many of who are now infested with the pandemic. Now they intend to infest the rest of us with the virus under the guise of repatriation of almajiris. We won’t allow this evil plot as no almajiri is from Biafra land.”
The group urged politicians, Christian bodies alongside businessmen and women in the Southeast to reject the repatriation of almajiris to the region.
“We, therefore, urge everybody in Biafra land including politicians, businessmen and women as well as students, churches and all the stakeholders in our land to stand up and stop these evil people with their almajiri group transfered in Biafra.
“Our land cannot be a depot for almajiri. Let them stay in North where they were incubated. Everybody knows that alamajiris are wanderers causing uprising, mayhem and crises in the whole of North. Most of the attacks against Christians and Biafrans living in the North as well as Christian communities in the North have their signature tunes,” IPOB added.
https://dailypost.ng/2020/05/04/covid-19-arewa-leaders-exporting-infected-almajiris-to-kill-igbos-in-southeast-ipob-alleges/ I knew it will surely come to this wicked northern leaders will love to use this deadly virus as a weapon to wipe out their arch enemies the igbos. The SE govs should wake up and stop this evil plot before it's too late. |
