Wisdomkosi: "We're Abandoned by Umahi" - Say Families of 10 Killed by Men in Army Uniform in Ebonyi
The People of Ndiagu Orie Umuogudu Akpu, Ngbo, in Ohaukwu local Government Area of Ebonyi State have revealed that the State government under the leadership of Governor David Nweze Umahi has abandoned them following an attack by men in military uniforms.
Igbere TV had reported that no fewer than ten (10) persons were on Wednesday, March 10, killed and property worth millions of naira destroyed in Ndiagu Orie, Umugudu Akpu Ngbo community in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi State.
Speaking with Igbere TV, one of the affected families, Mr. Ugadu Ezekiel who lost his Uncle, Aunt and property worth millions said since the attack, the government hasn't even sent a delegate to come and see what happened.
"The men in military uniform invaded our community in March and started shooting, Killing people."
"They killed two of my uncles, burnt three of my houses, together with one big barn of yam".
"At the other side of the village, they killed one of my Uncles, his two wives and his sister, making them four."
"And since then, the government hasn't even sent a delegate to come and see what happened in that place."
"Even our so called Senator representing the Ebonyi North, Senator Sam Egwu hasn't even sent a delegate to come and see the people he is representing."
"And the worse part of it now is that our people are living in serious fear because the government has not asked about their situation."
"To even eat is difficult for our people because everything has gone in one day."
"The State government hasn't come to our rescue and on that process still coming to arrest our people. Many of our people are in government’s custody. We don't know we did".
"Everybody is on the run because the villages are still open for more attack which is not good," he said.
Also speaking with Igbere TV, another victim who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity revealed that the Governor has not done anything in order to cushion the effect caused by the deadly attack.
"The Governor has not done anything following the attack in our community that led to the death of many of our sons and daughters".
"Apart from sending security operatives to come and snap pictures of the area after the attack, nothing has been done."
"Security has not been beefed up and the whole place been deserted because of fear of the unknown".
"No relief materials from the governor yet as I am speaking with you," he said.
As at the time of filing this report, effort by Igbere TV correspondent to speak with the Hon. Commissioner for Internal Security, Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, Stanley Okoro Emegha proved abortive as calls and text messages sent to his known phone number were not replied.
*Relief Materials From Indigenous Catholic Priests*
However, Igbere TV has gathered that the silence by the State's government has been broken by an intervention from some Ngbo-ejeogu indigenous Catholic priests, as they have supplied relief materials to the affected families.
The assistance which included cash gifts, according to the Chairman Catholic Men's Organisation, Immaculate Catholic Church Ndiagu Orie, Mr Daniel Oge, were gestures towards assuaging the feelings of the affected families, as well as reduce their difficulties.
According to Mr Oge, the relief items which came from a firebrand Priest, Reverend Father, John Odey, Fr. Peter Azi, and Rev. Fr. Gabriel Owoh in representation of others were offered for families of slain indigenes as well as those whose property were damaged during the March, 10 invasion.

[quote author=DanArrewa post=88444752]When we gave you quit notice in the North, why was your father begging? Why didn't Igbos keep their pride intact and leave the North? Then respond by sending our own people back
Look at this picture very well and weep for your coming generations.
Tell yourself the truth...
Igbos need Nigeria more than Nigeria need Igbos
Never you think that Niger Delta will ever join Biafra... They're agitating for their Niger Delta republic... We all know where your eyes is
You're all majority traders who depends on Nigerians to survive... That's why you're all scattered all over Nigeria Benefiting from your host communities
Look at this picture and see your fathers begging no to be evicted from the north [/quote
The only weopon and strategy of the north since the end of the biafra war has always been divide and conquer but u people forgot that blood is thicker than water. The SS and SE are blood brothers there is no recorded history of wars or genocide between the two peaceful regions unlike what we constantlys see in ur god forsaken voilent northern nigeria. Even if tomorrow both regions decides to go their own seperate ways the east will still be very far ahead of the north in all aspect of human developments ur leaders knows this quite very well thats why they dont want to agree to the restructing or outright division of nigeria because they know that ye all will be greatly exposed for the fraud which u are. Everything that have beginning surely have an end the age of northern domination of nigeria is fast coming to an end wether u all belieive it or not.
Samorenews: Unrest in Lagos state where thrives disturb the peace of the state due to the stay at home law by the Government. Robbers took the advantage on people to robbed them.
Presently in Lagos In Agege the boys over become thier vigilante just to secure the street from robbers .
People can’t have a sweet nice rest ..
Where are the over hyped amotekun when u really need them the most?
abokikhalifa: Agege Unrest: Awawa Boys Go About In Numbers Stealing From Residents
As I type this news, I'm typing with fear and unrest. Some parts of Lagos mainland are currently under attack from hoodlums. Areas such as Agege, iyana ipaja, abule egba, egbeda etc are currently under attack from these so called Awawa boys. .
The police are yet to respond as the youths in these areas as taking it upon them self to secure their street and environs. We need help from Lagos state government to help us secure our lives and property. For ones, let the Govt do something for us.
idealogical: Pre and post-independence, the North contributed immensely with their agric produce including the world-famous groundnut pyramids. They paid their dues into the federation account as the SW did with cocoa and other resources.
The North is still contributing in major ways via food produce and livestock, even the North that you just labeled parasites probably contribute more than your own state and region.
Let's be real and stop clouding our judgments with simplistic and tribal sentiments.
I will only believe ur sermon anytime northern leaders will all agree to restructuring and resource control until then they remain parasites to me. How can u be hiding under one nigeria to continue to steal the oil resources in my backyard to develop ur deserted region and still be claiming that u are rich and blessed with agriculture it doesn't make any sense.
We all know you are just trying to generate insult to the north...
You're in a revenge mission via how I exposed your lies yesterday...
Kano alone is in every aspect more productive than all the eastern states...
Apart from Assembling and packaging fake products in Aba what other things does south east contribute to Nigeria?? Nothing
They're all traders scattered all over Nigeria... Benefiting from their host communities!!
The north at other hand deliver 80% of food produce in Nigeria...
Tomatoes, Beans, fruits, groundnut, soybeans, cow milk and many others...
Na we still dey give una meat...
Cows, goats, rams and jacky that some of u consume...
The north just need to invest more on human development... And watch her hit her peak
The north is too blessed...
So now I want the easterners to tell me apart from trading... Tell me what other things do you guys contribute to Nigeria?
What is it that Nigerians consume that is produced in igbo land?
So why then are u people against resource control and restructuring if u really u want us to believe that the north is all that productive and blessed?
kettykings: •Reaction to ‘The North has already destroyed itself (2)’
By Sanusi Maiwada
I wish to register my total disagreement with the half-truths and innuendos presented by columnist Dele Sobowale. He prides himself as a well educated economist who has been contributing to economic matters for well over four decades. Yet, he flaunted not only inaccurate figures but also deliberately manipulated data to incite the gullible public in southern Nigeria. He has so far made two series under this obnoxious heading and is primed to go the long haul if he is not stopped in his tracks.
Let me begin by exposing some of the wrong information in his diatribe. The North of Nigeria is not a parasite and will never be. From historical times, this region has had agriculture as the main occupation of its people. We remember, with nostalgic feelings, the famous groundnut pyramid, the cotton belts of some northern provinces and the revenue generated by the colonial government which provided the seed capital for oil exploration in the defunct Eastern Region of the country. A region so steeped in the provision of the most basic needs of man cannot be said to be a parasite. If we had had sound political and economic leaders since independence, the North would by now be feeding the entire African continent.
For the purpose of illustration, I will narrate my experience going to Enugu from Abuja. Anyone familiar with the route from Abuja, through Ajaokuta to Otukpa and then on to Nsukka and 9th Mile, will know that it takes nearly 10hrs to get to Enugu because of bad road. In a distance of about 83kms between Otukpa and Enugu, I lost count of the number of trucks conveying cattle, goats, onion, tomato, beans, sweet potato, Irish potato and many other agricultural produce from the North to the South-East. Remember, these are locally produced items and not some imported luxury goods using dollars purchased from the CBN. Pray, what does the South-West produce that compares in economic importance to what comes from the North? Mr. Sobowale misfired again by showing a wrong table for the zonal allocation of the $22. 7 billion loan being sourced by the Federal Government. One big error is the grouping of Taraba State as part of the North Central. The Mambilla hydroelectric power project, which has an allocation of about $5 billion, is in the north eastern part of the country. Therefore, it is preposterous to assert that the North-East has lost in the ‘Bonanza’, a cruel and mischievous attempt to give a dog a bad name in order to hang it. It is noteworthy, however, that projects are located and prioritized based on needs assessment. Nation building is a continuous process. Therefore, no nation starts the construction of all necessary projects at once due to paucity of funds. Another gross failure in the columnist’s presentation is the notion that the South-West is only benefitting $200 million from the loan. This is also not true. The Lagos to Kano railway project costing over $5 billion will run through Ibadan, Ilorin, Minna, Kaduna, Zaria and then on to Kano. Already, the Lagos to Ibadan section has been completed. Mr. Sobowale was not fair and objective enough to tell his largely southern audience that a railway line, just like any other means of transportation, has a starting point and a terminus. The North has had to endure the blatant injustice of not starting this project from both Lagos and Kano ends. He never bothered to address an issue like this which speeds up the execution of projects because it is not his people that are at the receiving end. Finally, Mr Sobowale insinuated that the South will shoulder 80% of the loan repayment burden. I do not know how he came about this. Perhaps, this man should give us a detailed explanation of how this is going to happen. The oil in the Delta does not belong to only the people of the Niger Delta or the South. I believe this issue was settled a long time ago, that all mineral resources found within the boundary of a country belongs to each and every citizen of that country. Thank goodness, the value of the black gold is falling. We shall soon see who the real parasite is. I do not support President Buhari’s government policy of political exclusion. It is grossly unfair to treat the South-East of Nigeria as an outcast. It would have been a game changer if the President had embraced the region like others despite not voting for him in 2015. The opposition against his re-election from the region in 2019 would not have been as fierce. But with his insensitive attitude to the region, the people are right to continue to oppose him. I sincerely hope that a redress will be made to bring everyone on board. It is not too late. In conclusion, I think it is time to hold a Sovereign National Conference, Restructuring or whatever kind of gathering we desire to thrash out some lingering sociopolitical problems our country has been facing. It is pretty clear that our country is not yet a nation. There have been so many misconception, misinformation, falsehood and injustice perpetrated either deliberately or otherwise against many parts of the country. Virtually every section feels marginalized and abandoned one way or the other. Citizens like Mr Sobowale who have the opportunity to shape public opinion should be very careful and use their pen for the benefit of all. •Maiwada can be reached via maiwadasanusi5@gmail.com
It's very wrong for this writer and his northern brothers to continue to claim that the north financed the exploration of crude oil in the niger delta in the 50s that's absolutely false it was rather the oil companies that financed the exploration. The north have always been parasites even before the almagamation of the north and south the whole marriage was actually done by the british to help and sustain the economically disadvantaged northern Nigeria that's why northern leaders till date are ever ready to go to war to stop the restructuring or outright division of nigeria.
Lagos is now a breeding ground for coronavirus the pastor that died of the virus yesterday in warri also travelled to Lagos two weeks ago. The federal govt should continue to totally lockdown Lagos to save the lives of nigerians living outside Lagos State.

But we hope the fire-brigade officials make it to the scene on time to put out the fire to avoid more unpleasant news especially with national funds.
ugbedeojo1993: As the onslaught against Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) continue, Chad’s President Idriss Deby has warned the sect’s factional leader Abubakar Shekau to surrender or risk being killed inside his Dikoa hideout. Deby issued the warning in a state address to his countrymen shortly after leading his army in an offensive against the terrorists that left about 100 killed. According to the President who spoke in French, Shekau has the chance to surrender now or risk being smoked out of his hideout in Dikoa and he would be killed the same way some of his commanders were killed. Following a seven-hour ambush on Chadian troops by the terrorists that left 92 soldiers dead recently, Deby who said he would not accept defeat launched Operation Wrath of Bomo to avenge the death of his men. Named after the town where the Chadian soldiers were killed, the operation which commenced on Thursday, saw the president leading his armed forces to battle at Kelkoua bank and Magumeri where they fired rockets and 12.5mm rounds ammunition on the criminals. The troops were said to have also destroyed several BHTs bunkers, recovered cache of arms and arrested a top BHT commander. At Magumeri, a local government in the northern Borno State, the Chadian troops were alleged to have set free some Nigerian soldiers held captive by terrorists. According to reports, the Chadian troops have dealt the terrorists massive blow and have advanced into neighbouring countries with a vow to destroy them completely in few days. Video footages and pictures of the operation which were shared on social media showed corpses of suspected terrorists littering the floor with hundreds of assorted gun lumped together. It also showed a suspect partly covered in blood alleged to be a top Commander who was arrested while fleeing through one of the bunkers. Hours after the victories of the Chadian armed forces went viral, Shekau released an audio message where he appealed to his fighters to stand form. Shekau who spoke in Hausa was translated to have said: “People of Chad, leave us alone, this operation is not approved by the Qur’an. It is not the will of the Prophet Muhammed but if you want to continue, God will help us too because he is bigger than you. To my fighters, take heart. It is I, Abubakar Shekau, your leader.” Meanwhile, Nigerians on social media have continued to sing the praises of Deby dealing the terrorists massive blows at a time own government was offering them amnesty. Many likened the Chadian President to late Gaddafi, commending him for leading his men into Nigerian soil to free Nigerian soldiers held hostage by Boko Haram terrorists.
Let the chadian president and his gallant troops just go ahead and kill or capture shekau and collect the US $7m bounty on the head of shekau that money will go a long way to help the chadian economy.

Heffalump: Whistle-blower Who Started Impeachment Found Dead April 04, 2020 Craig Silverman
It's hard to even give a second thought to any news that is not related to the COVID-19 Pandemic in today's world; We all saw the Nation's response when President Trump and William Barr announced they would be using the military to ensure that Central American Cartels would not take hold. The entire nation issued one collective "Meh." It wasn't much different when they informed us that Iran was allegedly planning an attack on our troops. In this new Corona world, It's hard for people to see much else.
But Saturday morning a story broke that has people distracted at least for a few hours as social media has exploded with it.
Eric Ciamarella. The name won't mean much to you unless you're a genuine news hound, but when you remember who he was, you'll understand why the fuss.
Eric Ciamarella was the Whistle Blower who started the entire Ukraine/Impeachment by reporting Donald Trump's call with Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelensky,
Ciamarella was found dead early Friday morning at his parents' Connecticut home where he has been in hiding since before the Impeachment began. In an odd twist, his death was reported as a COVID-19 related death initially, until his mother took to Twitter and did an interview with WSFB Eyewitness News, informing them in a dynamic, tearful quote that "Unless the Coronavirus uses a a gun with bullets, it had nothing to do with my son's death."
As you might imagine, conspiracy theorists are running wild with this, but as of now the only official statement with regard to his death does in fact list him as a casualty of COVID-19.
I don't trust the democrats they are very in propaganda and falsehood just like the apc let there be an independent investigation to ascertain if truly that man have really died and was actually killed by gun shots.
rilikalid: Buhari is so wicked on this. You declared a total lockdown on south west states but sharing relieve funds to the northern states. I don't think this man is knows how is directive is being carried out.
What about the #10b buhari recently sent to the Lagos govt?
