MATAWALLE ACQUIRES VENTILATORS, TEST KITS FOR COVID-19
The Administration of Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has acquired 12 ventilators and 20,000 test kits for the two isolation centers against covid-19 in Gusau and Damba.
Inspecting the facilities at the Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital isolation center, Gusau, Governor Matawalle said his administration will continue to do all that was required to ensure the protection of the citizens against the spread of the virus.
Other items procured included hand sanitisers and face masks for distribution to all quarters across the state.
Governor Matawalle urged all residents of Zamfara state to obey the rules introduced by the state Government during this Ramadan season as it remains the only option for the people to be less vulnerable to the spread of the disease in the state.
He said the closure of borders in the state and the setting up of mobile courts to instantly try and prosecute offenders was done in good faith just as the measures of suspending this year's Tafsir, Taraweeh and Ittikaf across the state was also done in good faith.

Naija News had reported earlier that Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to the President died of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Friday, April 17.
A statement on the micro-blogging site, Twitter by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity confirmed the development.
The Presidential media aide tweeted: “The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19 and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.
“May God accept his soul. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly,” Adesina had tweeted.
Reacting to Kyari’s death during a live broadcast on Saturday, Kanu, who is on exile in the United Kingdom, alleged that the Presidential office cannot be accessed because the palm print of late Kyari is needed to open the door to the President‘s office.
Speaking on Radio Biafra, the IPOB leader said: “If you can go into the presidential office and stream from that office, I will abandon Biafra. The key to the office is lying somewhere in the grave in Abuja. You cannot access the office.
“They need Abba Kyari to open the Presidential office. They need to do the palm print of Abba Kyari to open the office,” Kanu alleged.
“If they can enter the presidential office and stream live from there, I will abandon Biafra, I will come on LIVE to apologize and abandon Biafra. But they can’t do it, the Chinese is working tirelessly to meltdown the door.
“He (Abba Kyari) was cremated when he died, no retina scan, no palm print, they cannot access the office. Anybody they are receiving now cannot go into the office,” Kanu alleged.
Kanu added that the presidential office is not where President Buhari who he describes as “Jubril of Sudan” sits and Watch Champions League after eating Nkwobi, but where Presidents sits to work.

The Former minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode gave the names in an article about Buhari’s late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, entitled “How are the mighty fallen.”
Fani-Kayode was close to Kyari, who decades ago, worked for the law firm of his father, Fani-Kayode and Sowemimo, after his return to Nigeria from the United Kingdom.
Reports that since Buhari assumed power in 2015, there have been several reports and references to a certain “cabal” controlling his government.
As of today, the Yoruba World Congress (YWC), insisted that the clique exists.
YWC President, Prof. Banji Akintoye, in a statement, claimed that Kyari was the one controlling most of the affairs of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
He described Kyari as Nigeria’s “de facto President” before his demise and suggested that he was the one controlling affairs.
The Yoruba leader said it was outrageous that Buhari ordered all appointees and government officials go through Kyari on matters that required his attention.
