Please l have HND in mechanical engineering. I will like to confirm if I can get positive assessment with EA as mechanical engineering technologist.
Thanks in anticipation.

There is no Mechanical engineering technologist occupation. Available occupations are Mechanical engineering technician, Mechanical engineering draftsperson and mechanical engineering itself. If you are talking about Engineering technologist (mechanical engineering), the occupation is a skill level 1 occupation and requires a bachelor degree.

However, if your experience is motor mechanic, small engine mechanic or diesel engine mechanic related, you can choose one of those and assess with TRA.

Only Tasmania sponsors Mechanical engineering technician and no state sponsors the draftsperson.

Can you assist me with a link I can follow so as to know the proper assessing body and there requirements

There are three bodies responsible for accountant. You can assess with any of them.

1. https://www.cpaaustralia.com.au/

2. https://www.charteredaccountantsanz.com/

3. https://www.publicaccountants.org.au/

Be mindful that for accountants, auditors, getting a very high score up to 85 minimum is not negotiable for an invitation considering the recent trend.

Goodluck

Brother any prospect for Environmental and Resource management BSc in Australia?

Your question is not clear. Do you want to study the course or you have qualification and experience in the course?

If the latter, yes environmental scientist is on the list.

Thank you for your response. Does my qualification correspond to the option chosen. I learnt I can evaluate it without the other job requirements.

Also my qualification what AQF level is it?

Thanks

For a positive assessment, you must have both qualification and experience assessed to be positive. It is Canada that does qualification assessment excluding experience. In Australia, especially for VETASSES both must be positive.

To answer your question, facilities manager is a skill level 2 occupation, meaning that HND will be assessed positive for it and to add, there is no specific qualification for the occupation.

149913 facilities manager... It is there

Store management is different from facilities management. A facility manager manages different facilities to ensure its smooth operation. If you are in charge of one store, you may not get a positive assessment. It should be network of stores. That is why the facility is in plural.

@all,

Thank you.

I hold no grudge against the moderator and still have no ill feelings. Whatever happened doesn't worth my time to dwell on or keep a grudge. It is the least of my worries. However, I am unsure of his own agenda because of subsequent turn of events. Digging up posts from 2017 and making erroneous judgement on the said posts shows there is a personal vendetta going on which many are oblivious of. I never expected that this will result to going back to two years posts to raise another round of accusations. This is beyond just breaking a supposed rule.

As it stands, Alphadoor has been banned for the suggestion he made in 2017. Catchdwind4rmkd has also been banned. Those are the two I am aware of. There is possibility that many more have been banned. If you want to ban people who are providing strategic guidance and yet wants the thread to flourish, how counterproductive is that? I don't know how we will be able to assist people when majority of those we rely on to respond to some questions are already banned for no just cause.

If you want me out of Nairaland, you can make your stand known clearly and we know where we stand. If you have a score to settle aside this flouted rule, you can also indicate.

For the umpteenth time, I have done nothing wrong and I don't care if you dig out my past posts in isolation to clutch on straws about your position. Whatever post you want to dig, just ensure that you dig the posts in context with discussion prior and after it to give your audience a befitting entertainment.

Irrespective of what you claim, my challenge still stands, name ONE person I collected money from on Nairaland and this challenge I also put to other users. Anybody that I have ever collected money from, can come forward with the evidence.

This will be my last post on this matter moving forward. I will not dignify you with a response anymore except you bring one person from the thread that I collected money from with evidence. I will do the right thing to apologise.

For the record, the ban was reduced by a supermod and not him.

Whatever mistakes Justwise made by deleting posts was just a knock-on effect of the criticism he received for threatening to ban Bellong. Justwise and Bellong had a private chat which these critics weren't privy to. So, if the admin, based on the conversation he had decided to go ahead and ban Bellong, why is that too difficult to respect?

@Goodmemory,

This is your comment on the DIY thread. I am disappointed that you can make an assumption for a fact. In addition, you made hasty conclusion based on a one-sided story. I thought, fair hearing entails that the other party be given an opportunity to present his position before a verdict is passed.

To set the record straight, for a start, I NEVER HAD ANY PRIVATE CHAT WITH THE MODERATOR. Where you got that from, I can't say.

This is my side of the story to put things in perspective as you have crucified me to have flouted rules and deserved a punishment.

Few days ago, I logged on to Nairaland and saw Justwise has posted in the thread accusing me of turning the thread to my personal business among other accusations. He asked that I remove the ad in my signature which he claimed violates rule number 6 (I will address his false interpretation of the rule later). Knowing who he is and I was not ready to engage him in any discussion, I attempted removing the ad in my signature immediately I read his comment but I discovered that he already banned me and I couldn't edit my profile because it greys out. I also couldn't post in any section on the forum like now, so I couldn't let him know that the ban prevents me from editing my signature.

After several tries with no success, I gave up on editing the profile. Thereafter, I had a discussion with Bnimz explaining why I couldn't edit the signature. Bnimz informed Justwise on the Living in Australia thread because he had removed the DIY thread. Despite explanation, Justwise insisted that it is possible and I have to do it before the thread can be released or ban lifted. He didn't change his rigid position until Bnimz volunteered to be banned to test his claim. Bnimz was unable to edit his signature too making my claim true contrary to what Justwise wanted people to believe. It was after that he lifted the ban.

Bnimz informed me that the ban has been lifted, I logged in, edited the signature immediately to remove the ad. After removing the ad, I addressed Justwise false accusation and character assassination against me. He accused me of collecting money from people on the thread before answering their questions. He accused me of turning the thread to my personal business and that I refused to carry out his instructions. I put only one challenge to him. I asked him to point out ONLY ONE PERSON, I collected money from on the thread before I answered his questions. The challenge is to just point out one person I charged on the thread but he hid my post and went ahead to ban me again till 2021 like he did previously. In the post, I also point out my observation about the skills he lacks which will be useful for him in life. I finally addressed the ad accusation based on Nairaland rules.

In all these, I don't understand what I did wrong to justify Justwise's personal attacks against my person calling me a not straightforward person. I have not had any personal dealings with you neither have I exchanged any emails with you. To conclude I am not a straightforward person is way beyond your boundary and it is slanderous. Doing your job as a moderator doesn't come with the right to accuse people falsely or assassinate their character. If you were objective and sincere with what you did, you should have left the only post I made on this matter. You hid the post but went ahead to tell lies about the turn of events knowing well that I had no opportunity to present my version which is verifiable.

My challenge still stands, please name just one person that I collected money from. If you don't or can't, you owe me an apology. I will not address your handling of this issue because you have shown to be not capable of engaging in logical and intellectual discussion.

To address the supposed rule flouted. There are 22 rules governing operations on Nairaland. These rules are not specific to a section, they are sitewide rules.

Rule no 6 states: "6. Don't post adverts or affiliate links outside the areas where adverts are explicitly allowed."
This rule 6 does not exist in isolation, you need to read subsequent rules to under the "explicitly allowed" areas for ads. The rule also shows that free ads are allowed in certain areas.

Rule no 12 states -
"12. Don't insert signatures into your posts. Instead, add the desired signature to your profile."

The rule clearly states "Desired Signature". I never posted ads in the wrong areas but I chose my desired signature which is protected by Nairaland rules but Justwise took offence with my signature. I didn't not post an advert on the thread and I wouldn't because I understand the rules and I am always for upholding the rules. Nowhere in the 22 rules says anything against ad in the signature. Reading through all sections on Nairaland including the travel, thousands of people have ads in their signature and they have not been banned by mods or supermods to show they didn't violate any rule. People get banned because they post advert in comments and wrong threads. Saying I violated a rule is uncalled for. Despite this, I agreed to remove the ad from my signature which I did but it wasn't enough for him but to attack my person.

I think it is more than the supposed broken rules. If you have anything against me, you should be able to address it than hiding behind a rule to attack my character.

I believe no one is indispensable and I have never acted or make people believe I am indispensable. I am confident that the thread will move on without me as it was before me. However, I believe credit should be given where it is deserved. To some, the best way for Justwise to go about this issue is to attack my personality, ban me without giving me opportunity to fair hearing and also to talk down on people with contrary opinion. If I didn't know about the rules, the best option is to give an opportunity for me to correct the error or mistake and not just pass a verdict in addition with derogatory comments and character assassination. It is pathetic to say the least.

I still maintain my position, I don't care if I am banned, but I do care if he removed the thread. The thread doesn't belong to me. It is a collective efforts of different people who have contributed their personal experiences. Deleting a thread because of the alleged offence of one person is taking decision too far. As it is, part 1 of the thread is still hidden which shouldn't be so. I will make it clear, the thread doesn't belong to me, it belongs to every single person that contributed on it, so you have no right to remove the thread.

This is my position. I have many things to say but Will keep them to myself.

I am still banned from posting in the travel section which is why I am putting the post here. I need to set the record straight against all the accusations, assumptions and derogatory opinions.

@allegory,

Canada is your better option at this stage. All the occupations you listed require at least one year of experience for a positive assessment. In addition, except for spatial scientist, you will likely not get a state to nominate those occupations.

You can be the principal applicant for Canada and choose investment manager.

Goodluck.

Please house I need your help on this.

Will I get a positive outcome if I asses a Cabler (Data and Telecommunication) considering my degree?

Why do you want to nominate cabler? Not on 189 list and only Northern Territory sponsors the occupation which is a long thing.

Look for another Closely related occupation on the list. However, if you want to go ahead, you will get a positive assessment as long as you can demonstrate your current experience is a cabler.

sir,i would love to join The DSS

You either apply at the State command in your state of origin or at the national headquarters in Abuja.

You can visit the state command in your current resident state and ask for information on the next recruitment. As soon as the recruitment info is out, apply through your state of origin or Abuja if you live in Abuja.

As usual with government agencies, there is man know man involvement. However, with the DSS, they have quota for merit. If you are very confident and know your onions, you should get through the interview.

There is always a way out, don't let anyone deceive you and let no one despise your youth.

You have nothing to worry about. They are interested in your scores not the purpose you fill in the form. The English test I used was written primarily for PhD admission.

@MHBS,

You should have given this explanation the first time, I would have been able to make better judgement of your work experience but the limited information given and subsequent additional information made me skeptical. Now I understand, apologies for the initial error.

send an email to the address you did before in my signature. This time outline all your Work experience and qualifications in your CV.

If possible, include your husband's CV, he may be the better option as the principal applicant.
