@anfieldboss,

I suppose you have not read the thread yet. I will answer your questions but you can read to have better perspective.

1. By financial requirements, do you mean the cost for the whole process or evidence of financial standing in terms of bank statement? If it is the former, you will need to read the thread as it has been asked several times. For the latter, you don't need proof of fund for Australia migration. However, for state nomination, some state do require that you declare your financial status or evidence you can sustain yourself for a year.

2. Yes, you can include your spouse and children on the application. If your spouse's occupation is on the same skilled list as yours, she can do a skill assessment to add 5 points to your points.

Hope you guys do give us light?

Goodluck.

@omabb,

Third party evidence is a compulsory requirement to proof employment. Third party evidence could be in form of tax certificate, bank statement or pension fund statement. Payslip is not enough evidence to support employment. The CO will ask for more evidence if you don't include a third party evidence.

Being on supplementary list shows you have to meet some conditions to be nominated which may be having a family member living in the state or you have schooled there or you can meet high points like 85 points.

As it is, I don't think you meet the condition.

I can't tell you if you have a chance. However, if you read the thread and all the information, I believe you will be able to make that decision yourself.

For a start, have you checked the list to identify any related occupation to your experience? And is there any state nominating it?

Start from there.

Hello House, I need advise on Australia attempt relocation. I was nominated via TSS sub Class 482 and I submitted EOI form sent to me. I was sent a list of requirements and e-visa and advised to contact ABF case Officer for assessment, clearance a ND work permit. I have since sent a mail to the email provided but I am yet to hear from them after 48hrs.

pls how do I get a response from them and what do I send to them to elicit a response?

Your questions have so many confusion.

Firstly, who nominated you for the subclass 482 and which of the three streams were you nominated for?

Who sent you paper application?

Which evisa was issued and by whom?

Why do you need ABF assessment after being issued a visa?

I hope you have not paid the agent any money because scam is written over all these questions. It is likely you have been scammed.

All visas can be applied for online without going through the stress of paper application. The department is discouraging paper application for better management of the visa processing. You should ask for a refund now before you are scammed more.

My brother, give all the states nominating the occupation a shot. Your desire is to get here, when you arrive, you worry about permanent state of residence later.

I don't know the NSW process but follow the guidelines they have on their website.

Your CDR is not based on certificates or certifications you have but on your engineering knowledge of your nominated occupation. You should see EA's guidelines on writing a CDR (Competency Demonstration Report).

When you are here, you can choose any path for yourself. However, for any medical or human services occupation, my advice is to enter into it because of passion and not money.

My spouse's occupation is Supply Chain.

Ok. I asked to know if he would be in better position as the principal applicant. You are better as the principal applicant.

However, if you guys don't mind, South Australia sponsors supply and distribution manager on subclass 489.

densel:

Would you suggest I go for a closely related Skill level 2 occupation that requires AQF Associate degree like customer service manager (149212)?

If yes, how many education points will that fetch me as against B.Sc's 15 points.

1. Yes you should, provided you can align your skills with Anzsco job descriptions for the occupation. With VETASSES you must be able to align this well for positive assessment.

2. Associate degree is 10 points.
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 3:33am On May 09, 2019
@Princesskiki,

Assess as a food technologist. The experience is still within the last 10 years. You don't need to add your MBA, it doesn't add anything to your application.

Good technology is a 5 year course in Nigeria. All five year courses irrespective of university are assessed to be equivalent to AQF Bachelor degree.

What is your spouse's occupation?

I want to assess for marketing specialist 225113. I have a B.Sc marketing from Absu and over eight years experience but a friend on PR said her Msc from same school was assessed as a Bsc.

Please what options do l have? Can it be assessed as a Hnd or lower giving me 10 as against 15 points?

Marketing specialist is only sponsored by Northern Territory and their application process usually take between 9-14 months. You probably should find another closely related occupation.

However, if you want to go ahead, ABSU degree may likely be assessed to be equivalent of an AQF Associate degree. If that is the case, you may likely get a negative assessment because Marketing specialist is a Skill level 1 occupation which requires assessment as a bachelor degree. VETASSES doesn't do experience in lieu of qualification.

Also number of staff employed

Your manager can respond on the company's letter head. You also can write yours in response to the email.

If you have any documents to support some of the questions and answers, do not hesitate to include them as attachment.

@topacs,

Since you already submitted, what you can do is wait.

With TRA, you still meet the qualification required if your experience can proof you meet the anzsco job description for the occupation, you should be fine.

@farnet,

1. Nominate electrical engineering. You don't need your Coren certification for a positive assessment. What you need is a convincing CDR showing your skills as an electrical engineering.

2. If you have no paper evidence from both the company or third party, don't claim the experience. However, you can put the experience as unpaid (volunteer role).
Yes, by December after assessment, once it is 8 years, the system automatically awards 8 years points. No reassessment required. That is if there is no deduction of experience from EA.

3. Skills assessment expiry date is not set by the assessing body, it is a migration act. Under the act, a skills assessment is valid for only three years after which you will have to do a reassessment. It is not an EA policy but the Migration Act regulations.
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 1:13am On May 04, 2019
@Jewingle,

Yes, you will be eligible to apply for PR provided you have a positive assessment from Engineer Australia which I believe you can with a good CDR.

However, considering invitations in the last few months, with 65 points, you will be on a long queue except you get a state or regional nomination. You can be in the queue with your qualification.

The PR process doesn't give any recognition to your class of degree as long as your certificate says you graduated. What matters with EA is writing a solid CDR. With the introduction of the new regional visa coming up in November, you may easily get a regional nomination by then. I will advice you get started with the process with English test and skills assessment. You can only be in the game to win the game.

Goodluck bro.

What is your take regarding the flu jabs usually given at most work places ahead/during the cold season. Not sure, but i think i remember reading an advice not to take it. Just want to sample different opinions on the subject and what is your reason for taking or refusing to take the vaccine. Thanks

I usually get running nose during the rainy season in Nigeria. It was so bad when I served in Jos due to their round the year cold season. When I arrived Australia in May which is pre-winter season, I had this terrible running nose accompanied with headache similar to my experience in Jos. I won the war when winter was over.

The following year while working with South Australia Police, the flu jab was compulsory, had the jab and I never experienced the running (runny) nose trouble. The jab saved me. However, in the following year, I took the jab elsewhere, I still had the same challenge which means, the vaccine is not as strong as the previous one or the problem has developed resistance against the vaccine.
I didn't have a jab last year and I experienced very minimal trouble with the nose.

I do know that vaccines are designed to wage war against certain virus while killing some antibodies in the system. There have been series of allegations and counter allegations against the vaccine. Previously in a state, a particular jab gave a young girl traumatic brain injury which led to the discontinuation of that particular vaccine. The girl could have been allergic to the content of the vaccine because there was no widespread effect of the same problem.

My opinion is that each family should weigh their options and do the best for their families. The jab could be a lifesaver and it may not contribute anything to fight against the flu. The flu in this country could be very dangerous as it has killed a lot of people. The best antidote is going natural. While winter is very mild in this country, you still have to take care of yourself, keep warm, don't be stingy with heating and let the house be warm. Drink herbal tea, hot pepper soup, eat a lots of fruit and you will be fine.

Some vaccines are better stayed away from.

@Mobiss,

It is very pertinent to have a third party evidence of employment which include one of tax certificate, pension statement or bank statement. If you get through the assessment without it, you may likely not get through main application stage without it and that will amount to PR visa denial.

It is either you stick to the three years experience as paid and the other two as unpaid or talk to the head office to sort something out for you.

@Thementors27,

The last time I read AITSL website, experience was not compulsory but it is very compulsory to have done teaching practice for one year which must be part of of the school curriculum as evidenced in your transcript. If you have that and the IELTS requirement, (theirs is different - they require band S-8, W-8, R-7, L-7) you are good to go.

The question about your husband, the occupation he nominates depends on what he does at the agro allied company. However, I am not sure if VETASSES will accept Agricultural Engineering for a consultant experience. The agric people may provide you with further guidance on that.

@Aby774u,

Go to Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) website for instructions on how to go about the skills assessment. I cannot provide advice on the disparity of your qualification and experience. You can talk to TRA about it and other things needed for a successful skills assessment as a plumber.

So, I have no option but to pay.

Ok. Well, at least you tried and it extends the payment period. If you want, you can choose to pay in installments like $50/month.

Good trip you had. I am hoping in the very near future, I will be able to travel round the country in a caravan. I have only done Sydney - Adelaide, Adelaide - Melbourne - Canberra - Sydney and Adelaide - Perth.

Long drive is interesting and fun with the roads except for the speed limit which I consider ridiculously too low @110km/h for the freeways. I usually do over the limit though where I am sure there are no cameras and no mobile cameras. When I want to go on a long drive, I do check the websites of all the State Police I will pass through for where mobile cameras will be stationed each day.

Hopefully I can find people who will be interested in doing the country tour to move in a group.

1. Can I do additional EOI on regional 489 without withdrawing the EOI on family sponsor?
2. Can I request the selected region via communication before or after the submission of EOI to expedite my nomination?
Please assist with your kind response and counsel once more as I don't want to give up at this time. I welcome any region in any State that you could suggest to me.

Regards

1. I am not completely sure but I know you can tick all subclass and options you are interested in while filling the EOI.

2. Each region has its own process and requirements, it will be appropriate to first check the website of your region of interest to understand their process.

Northern Territory, Tasmania and Victoria sponsor Mechanical engineering. It is on special conditions in South Australia. Apply to all the states, don't put all your eggs in one basket.
