LostCity:Read this https://www.nairaland.com/3053069/general-guide-australian-permanent-resident Choose wall and floor tiler occupation. I hope you get paid in the bank in your work place. |
Mijac:Better you talk to Jamson, Bnimz or Mctowel1, they are engineers. |
amebostudent:IT is ambiguous.. Let your husband check all the IT occupations for the one that closely matches his skills. He probably will be the better person as the principal applicant because only Tasmania and Victoria sponsor the occupation. Tasmania requires job offer or relative living in the state and Victoria seems to be sponsoring only foreign language teachers for their primary school. Would have been better if your experience is in secondary school. |
amebostudent:What is your husband's occupation? You had 8 in each band for IELTS? |
amebostudent:Are your qualifications in education? Where did you get 60 points from? |
Congratulations Bnimz, Now you can take it easy refreshing your email at night. ![]() |
@gaaaa, You did not state any other information aside the English test. What occupation are you nominating? Without the English, what will your points be from other criteria? If you are confident of what you did, you can challenge both the speaking and writing as the two are subjective. |
SegunWamiri:Not necessarily it is all in cash deposit. You can add shares certificate, landed properties, jewellery valuation etc. Anything that can easily be changed for cash. |
happy4lucy:Compared to architecture in Europe, their building designs are not mouth watering. Only few outstanding structures here and there. It is just basic. It is lucrative anyway as new buildings keep springing up daily. |
@happy4lucy, If he has done assessment with AACA and it is positive, nothing else to add. He doesn't really need any additional points from English as the 60 points is enough to get invitation as an architect. However, he needs minimum of 6 in each band for English competence. In other news, architecture in this country is just there. Hopefully your husband can bring a touch of class to the profession. |
sen2paco:Actually, you should have nominated agricultural consultant. Repackage the assessment for it. |
@junebaby, What is your qualification and occupation? How long has your husband been practising medicine? |
jayooh:Sure he can. |
chidike:You are better off buying return ticket without IOM. Buying each way will result to penny wise pounds foolish. One way ticket is usually very expensive. If you get a deal with IOM for the go, adding the cost of the back ticket will be way more than buying the return direct. When are you traveling? I can ask a travel agent friend if possible you can get a good return ticket deal. @All, According to the Immigration minister yesterday, the occupation lists will be reviewed again in July. There is probability of removing or adding occupations. Fingers crossed. |
Amykizi:He probably will rewrite his English to aim for 8 in each band for the maximum score of 20 points. You don't need to rewrite the test. Discard the first comment, let him assess as a civil engineering craftsperson. While the technician is assessed by only vetasses, the draftsperson is assessed by both Engineers Australia and VETASSES. He is better off assessing with EA as it is faster, if he chooses fast track option, and less cumbersome. He should read the job descriptions of a draftsperson and technician and choose the occupation best for him. This is the point you both should read again. The two occupations are not competitive, once you have a positive assessment and meet 60 points, you should get invitation in the following rounds after submitting EOI. |
@Amykizi, You probably have read wrongly... 1. Only the principal applicant needs a skill assessment.. The dependent spouse may write English test as a proof of functional English. 2. 3years for migration purpose. 3 and 4. Your husband can assess as a civil engineer technician which doesn't require a state nomination. Tasmania is a no go area because you must have a job offer before being invited or have a relative living there. Civil engineering technician is on the MTSSL, meaning you can apply for subclass 189 that requires no state nomination. You have a prettygood chance. What's your IELTS score ( your husband's) |
simpleworld:Sorry, I meant ond or HND in construction, building, anything related to tiling |
@Alphadoor, Nothing to add to what Omoloriredaade wrote. |
WellEndowed:Federal government jobs are only available to citizens including grad programs. @Manucho, Your occupation requires a Bachelor degree and at least one year experience. Vetasses will not give a positive assessment to HND for agric occupations. |
The man is a fraud and has refused to listen to every voice of reason. I wonder why you have not reported him to the authority. His place is behind bars as he is bent on making others cry. As a Christian, not exposing him to appropriate authority is the same as aiding and abetting in his crime. I don't think there is anything you gain from him as he practically does nothing. What to do? Report his attrocities to save others from being defrauded by him. Move on with your life by mapping out strategy to be out of debt. Once you finish paying up your debt, move out of your mum's place and get on with your life. The man has nothing to offer you but woes and curses. The spirits of the people he defrauded will never pray for him and I fear for those who benefits directly or indirectly from the proceeds of the blood money. |
Kamal474:The outcome is dependent on the strength of your CDR. If you write something convincing, you should get a professional engineer. Many people got positive assessment with no experience. |
simpleworld:You need qualification in air-conditioning repairs or anything closely related. Where did you learn the craft from? |
lakola:If you have experience in Agric, it is better you apply for PR than contemplating on student visa. Agriculture is a thriving aspect of the economy in the country both crops and livestock. However, getting a job in the field like other jobs is dependent on your ability to convince an employer of your skills and experience meeting their requirements or criteria. I can't confidently say you will get a job or not but can only say agriculture is alive in the country. Meanwhile, agric jobs are not what you look for in the cities, they are in the regional and remote areas of the country. CC. Hordunayodt. |
mamajaz:I can't say for a fact if Vetasses will not see it as an attempt to escape AHPRA. Between only Northern territory and Tasmania sponsor it. If he can spare the money, he should give it a trial. |
zobay:If your research experience is in the sciences, you can get a nomination from Victoria. Assess as a Mathematician. |
simpleworld:OND or HND |
Fabbyboy:If you have read pages 1-10 and still don't know where to start, how will anybody help you? What is written there is pretty straight forward, someone who never passed through school should find it easy to understand and comprehend. You should go back and read again, this time slowly. |
@40manlappy, I don't know any other option for them. If the wife does not have any qualification in Education, no way she can assess as a teacher. She can read up the teachers assessing body's website if they accept experience in lieu. Another option is to get advice of a MARA registered migration agent. |

You are alright. It will not cause any harm. |
simpleworld:Yes there is if you have the qualification. |
mabella2:I have no idea. |
