i even have reservations about Livelystone01's statement because shell has plenty of third party contract engineers

as in they have third party engineers in their CORE business
doing the same thing as the full time staff and getting paid a fraction of the wages

one of my guys was in a third contract party role for 10 years before he japaed to canada.
i actually tried to help him get a job in my old place but he was beaten out in the interview.

so i find it hard to believe they will have support roles in full employment when they are third partying core technical roles

this is for a lead role - but like i said - no one will hire a mechanical engineering grad for an IT role

computer science, electrical engineering - those are the people who can get direct jobs as it support, if any

i also worked in an oil company a very well known one from 2004 to 2019
in 2006 there was a full fledged it department, internal company security, internal cleaners
by 2015, large portions of these departments had all been outsourced and what we had were managers interfacing with vendors be it oracle, lenovo, etc
