1.) You've assumed too much. My argument isn't with the pay, it's the contradiction of Trump supporters who say inflation is high, yet want to create policies to make it higher. Or say they don't want immigrants doing certain jobs, like in Ohio, but they won't do those jobs themselves.
But as to that point, where do you think Walmarts were best situated? And who do you think is buying goods at the Dollar Tree? Are those places not exploitative if the people in the factories making their goods?

Most Dems I know are comfortable paying a living wage. Massachusetts just increased the minimum wage. It's generally Republicans arguing against it.

If you want to make a point at least make it consistent with reality. For Trump supporters, this isn't an argument about not exploiting immigrants. It's the belief that the US is giving them too much and that they don't belong or xenophobia. Look at what happened in Springfield Ohio.
