This is a pretty wild story.
A Republican town is dying. They attract businesses to build factories, but the current white population of the town doesn't want the jobs.
So the companies, probably ununionized hire Haitian immigrants who are authorized to work to do the jobs at probably lower wages.
They are getting paid $19 dollars an hour, have a 401k and are paying taxes.
Because of the unflux, the town is growing, making money through taxes and the businesses are now flourishing.
But, because of the influx, greed, and incompetence of the Republican state, housing prices have gone up and the city is understaffed so can't provide proper services.
So the current population who didn't want to work these jobs are mad that their once dying town isn't anymore and they have so many Haitians there.
So the current population, instead of working these jobs are on drugs and probably collecting some sort of benefit and will be at the next Trump rally complaining about these immigrants taking their jobs, unions and regulations.
