The Mexican train uses electricity for Gods sake. The Nigerian train you see there uses diesel. It is a locomotive. Locomotives are used all over the world especially in the USA for long distance haulage and passenger transportation. Every country has its unique transportation requirements. Nigeria needs locomotive trains for now. It will be silly to procure electric trains. Please lets not deny the fact (even if it is only the good thing this government has done) that it has woken up the comatose rail sector. But ofcourse some negative people will never see anything good Jonathan has done meanwhile they close their eyes to Falasha and ameachi's elusive metro line that they have been constructing for years and billions poured into yet nothing. GEJ is working! spott: |

what makes him a fool? where were you during the last election when supporter of APC buhari declared if jonathan won the election he would make the country ungovernable? |
Nairalanders, have you driven on lagos ibadan expressway recently? if you have the you would have notice the massive reconstruction of that road. It will probably be 4 lanes going and comming. My point is that for over 30 years, no president has fixed that road. Obasanjo was president for 8 years he did nothing! He did not even fix lagos abeokuta road that leads to his farm. rather he flew helicopters from the airport to his farm. President jonathan is currently not just fixing but reconstructing that road. The same can also be said of the river niger bridge that was built just after the civil war. Different government have come and gone including obasanjos promising the second niger bridge. President jonathans government is currently constructing the second niger bridge! PLS OBASANJO FACE YOUR WORK(FARMER?) LET MY PRESIDENT FACE HIS! |
ordinarily, it should be a good idea. but the problem is that the americans cant be trusted to handle such sensitive issue of a multipupose card. The issue is not about them having our information which as someone said earlier, they already do. My point is that mastercard is an american company and american government polices recently have been proven to effect business and so they are unreliable. Nairalanders take the case of russia. because of disagreement over russian action in ukraine, russia was SANCTIONED by the american goverment. Russian citizens could not acess their funds in the bank for days through MASTERCARD. Even till now some citizens targeted by sanctions cant. Hence russia has started developing their own payment system. The chinese have theirs. Tomorrow we disagree with the usa over homosexuals and they then sanction us? Iran had issues with usa and they then sanctioned them and stopped selling parts for usa built aircrafts to them! Its a good idea but we should not do it with an american company. STOP BUYING AMERICAN simple |

Bro, are you seriously suggesting that the person that took his time to show us picture of the leaking departure hall was just doing that to discredit the minister?. COMMON! Your picture comparison is also wrong because your pic shows the departure hall while the fellows picture show the boarding gate hall of the airport. Ajao estate is also a substantial distance away from the airport for it to have rained at the airport while it did not at ajao. secondly since you said you spent a better part of the day at ajao, may i be right to assume that you do not stay there but were only visiting? in that case it might have rained early or late hours of the day while you were not at ajao estate. Goddex: Liars on the prowl. First, it did not rain yesterday. Except the rain only fell on MMIA roof and did not get to neighboring Ajao Estate where I stay. This is the interior of the renovated MMIA and doesn't look like that OP's picture. |

sexymoma: You Better Edit that figure you put dia, before nairalanders pull your skin. 10million per week ko 50million per minutes ni. so how much will Tu- Baba would be making per week, 100million per week ba. when you posting somethings online dont think people reading it are novice. shotigboPeople, i dont doubt the figures again oh, provided refigeration services at a wedding 2weeks ago. I think i am in the wrong business oh.. |
One thing i just cannot understand is cant communities have their oil block and then get development partners to drill the oil. Currently you have individuals like danjuma, alakijas etc owning the oil blocks and then handing them to the oil majors to extract and then they make outragious commissions! Just imaging the wealth being created for private individuals. 10-30% commision on billions of dollars so much cash that that alakija woman could have 300million pounds of appartment on just one building complex! The host communities need to get up and act. How cant communities own their oil blocks but individuals from other parts of the country can? |
Saw her today on tv, she is quite talented |

Valid point, most of us pay our taxes to fashola and not federal gov. At least i do. Even if you call that ota road a federal road, then what about my street that we residents had to contribute money to grade the roads when we could no longer driver our cars? I pay business tax, personal income tax, tennament rate, land use charges, hospitality tax, local government permit, lagos waste water management charges! What do they use all this money for? I still have to pay my kids sch fees, provide my own water, run 4 generators despite the fact that my electricity bill has quadrupled and there is still no "POWER" according to Jonaa. i have to pay for heathcare for my family when they are ill. What is the use of government then? Do you know one of fasholas guys leaves on my steet, a civil servant for that matter, the fat mother has over 12 official vehicles in his mansion! Ranging from the latest landcruiser to kia rio. That is what they do with our taxes. Feed fat instead of fixing tje roads... ~Bluetooth: |
From personal experience, there is no comparism. The japanese cars are better built, more durable. Performance wise in terms of speed etc, you could give that to the europeans. In the 90s i bought a 740i bmw. Same year just months between i bought a lexus ls400, both v8. Till date i still have both cars, i have only changed break pads and the regular oil change on the lexus. With the bmw, i had to almost monthy buy fuel pump from coscharis. Fews days after changing the pump it starts a wining sound until it packs up. While tthe bmw was more interesting and macho to drive, the lexus has probably covered 10 times the milage my bmw did. The picture i am attqching should explain the rest.
