The fellow that perpetrated the recent London terrorist act seems to be a Nigerian. Kalid masood's real name is Adrian Ajao, while that of his mother is Janet Ajao. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/03/27/mother-westminster-terrorist-says-shocked-actions-does-not-condone/ |

You must be a civil servant. Because only government pikins that have lived all their life under government paid work think like this. Ok so the owner of the senna should pay for the incompetence of the custom service right? How in the first instance did the vehicle get past the boarder? Who's duty is it to man our boarders? As per underpaying duty, who gave the estimate to the car dealer? During the course of registration of the vehicle, who issued the custom clearance documentation? All points at the customs! One ancient buffoon then comes up to say folks should go back to customs to re validate duty because they want to install checkpoints to check and seize cars, even when i bought the car from a car dealer? That is madness! It reminds me of the silly military minister of communications years back (olarinwaju?) who tried to shut down business centers that used CALLBACK and INTERNET to make cheaper international calls at N50 when NITEL was charging N400 naira per min. The minister then deployed soldiers to raid business centers claiming "economic Sabotage" We shouldn't be made to pay for government incompetence. deking: |
Folks, the fact that you hit someone with your car does not mean you are guilty. 2 months ago I drove into a street with very bad road and with cars parked on both sides of the road. The buka did not have what i wanted so i made a U turn. As i drove back towards the major road meandering the bad road, i saw a flash from the side of my eyes and instinctively hit the brakes. People in front of my SUV were shouting i should not move but reverse. Apparently a 7 year boy ran between two parked cars straight into my front tyre in fact his foot was pressed into the sand by my tyre. Just imagine if it had been a normal street and i had being driving on normal speed. I probably would have killed the child(God Forbid). See, the point is most times such incidences occur the pedestrian is usually at fault unfortunately emotions take over and people want the driver lynched. |
cruzyteejay:What she did is not the issue here. The issue is that she was assaulted by soldiers. The soldiers had no right to take law into their hand assuming she offended them in anyway. They ought to have handed her to the police for prosecution. |
kogistar:Oga its obvious you know noting about LAW. I am not a lawyer but from the little i know the army has no option than to settle with her or to attend to court summons. It will even be perfect for her case if the army sends no representation to court because it will enable her get judgment faster. You say army wont pay if she gets judgment? Oga all her lawyers have to do is to get a garnishing order on all the Nigeria army account home and abroad that contain any substantial money. Those account will be frozen and the judgment sum taken simple! Lawyers could explain better. |

Pristine Chevrolet Suburban ultra SUV for sale. Was imported and registered during December 2016 and used for Christmas. Has been parked since then. Chevrolet equips its 2012 Suburban 1500 with a 5.3-liter V8 that delivers 320 horsepower when running on gasoline or 326 horses if the fuel tank is filled with E85 (a mixture of 85-percent ethanol and 15-percent gasoline). The heavy-duty Suburban 2500 packs a bigger punch with its 352-horsepower 6.0-liter V8. Both engines feature Chevy's Active Fuel Management system, which cuts power from eight to four cylinders under light-load situations. This technology, along with a standard 6-speed automatic transmission, serves to improve the efficiency of Chevrolet's heavy-hauling SUV. 5.3-liter V8 FlexFuel 320 horsepower at 5,200 rpm (gasoline) 326 horsepower at 5,300 (E85) 335 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm (gasoline) 348 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 (E85) EPA city/highway fuel economy: 15/21 (gasoline), 11/16 (E85) 6.0-liter V8 352 horsepower at 5,400 rpm 382 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,200 rpm EPA city/highway fuel economy: 10/16 (2WD), 10/15 (4WD

I stumbled on this viral audio recording this morning and to say the least i was shocked after listening. A conversation between a Northern politician and an uninterested Yoruba politician. I actually give Mr Kunle kudos because you could clearly see he was not disposed to the Northern politician's line of thought. It is really worth listening to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV5rERCuXS8 |
I registered my ward recently with the National open university of Nigeria popularly known as NOUN. In this short period of roughly 2 weeks i have made these observations. Noun is meant to be basically an on-line learning system for people who do not have the time to attend the regular university. It is actually for the working class but invariably lots of youths who have had issues with getting admission into universities or have financial challenges use the cheaper option of working and caring out their studies on-line. Now lets focus on the fundamental issues here. 1, I noticed to make payment through their lamata system into your noun account wallet was a herculean task. It took me 2 days just to generate the code on noun website to enable me pay to the bank. 2, After payment it took me 1 week to register for the courses and exams. Registration simply could not be done because the server was down. I visited the study center and they confirmed the server was down and nothing could be done until it was fixed. Called noun technical support. same thing. After a week the server came up and registration was done. 3. Now to study. After registration you have access to the ILEARN platform where you have video lecture, your ebook etc. My ward has only been able to log into the Ilearn platform just the day registration was completed. The platform to log into your noun student portal and the Ilearn has been down ever since. 5 days or so to be precise. Now, the issue is how come NOUN collects so much money from thousands of students (67k was for the semester) and they cannot maintain a website that is meant to be the basis on which their students are taught? Its not as if they have overheads like regular universities. They do not pay lecturers like regular universities or run a campus. It is really amazing to me. I really wonder when we will ever get anything right in this country. Is it that the National universities commission does not monitor this "university"? Really disappointed. Meanwhile i read somewhere that they have about 750k students registered in the institution. Just imagine the billions. yet they cannot maintain a website. As i write the portal is still down. UPDATE. AS AT TODAY MORNING 07/10/2016 THE LEARNING PORTAL IS STILL NON FUNCTIONAL |
